The huge red sandstone walls seem to touch the sky with their darker shingles and small high set windows.The feeling of inferioty in the shadow of this building is banished by the kind inhabitants within.

These are the high walls that surround Redwall. This is where a constant vigil is kept to keep out intruders. The gentle red hue grows darker as the sunsets. The only way in is over the walls under the grounds or through the fence.
