Alrighty folks, here's the bread and the butter of it. I'd like to hear new plot ideas for the entire site to centralize things and give us some direction. Think big, and remember there are no stupid ideas.
My own initial idea involves three or four different groups representing a complex struggle either in the traditional 'Redwall under siege' sense, or... Before the construction of such an Abbey. My question is, what happened before the days of King Mortspear and his two sons, Ungatt Trunn and Verdauga Greeneyes? Who was there when the fortress Kotir gleamed like a citadel of power rather than an old ruin of its former glory? That might be interesting, I think.

That's right! If my memory serves, according to Ungattt Trunn, his brother was going to find a fortress to take over. So at some point Kotir had to be a great fortress of its own. This has distinct and good possibilities. Would Salamandastron even be a major power at this point?

It should be at least a fledgling domain, according to Mr. Brocktree and Trunn's Blue Hordes. So we know the idea and location of Sala existed back then.

Is that the one where only the old ones are left? Because if it is, then there would indeed have been hares before that, otherwise how could the young ones leave if there wasn't anything really there to begin with?

I don't rightly remember, but anyways, I looked it up and the nice little wiki article says that Salamandastron has been around for a real long time before the whole Blue Hordes thing.

Yep, that will be needed, apparently no matter how far along in the Mossflower timeline you are. And we'll also need to decide how Kotir was built, and who occupies it, and what the whole deal with Vermin and Goodbeast is, all of their different groups and so forth, if the idea is to be used. I'd rather hear alternatives before proceeding too far.

ok so Si and i chatted a bit about this thisafternoon and here's some ideas. if we do this there will be no abbey so the positions of Abbot/Abbbess, Badgermum, cellar keeper, infirmary keeper, etc. won't be applicable. Instead we propose that the different species of woodlanders kind of keep to themselves in their own tribes. this means positions such as log-a-log, squirrel queen, and skipper become much more important. Then when the vermin do attack the woodland tribes who may or may not get along with eachother will have to band together against a common enemy.

Right. So there's going to be some animosity between them?

I'm obviously extremely interested in the new plot direction. Since I've been here I've played nothing but vermin characters, so I might be the guy for the job when it comes to the main bad guy.
I have a few ideas about that. I'd like to use my character Drask Darkfang as one of the major vermin leaders, but also have a different character to assume the main role of the bad guy number one. As far as species goes, I'm unsure of what to use. There's a lot of different directions I could go in, I could stay in my comfort zone and use another ferret or fox character, or I could try something else, like a wildcat. It would be interesting to use a cat instead of the average vermin, seeing as a wildcat would inspire much more fear in other beasts and respect (and fear) among his own troops. Any opinions? And also, can I RP the main bad guy? (I want to know before I start making to many plans about him. XD)

I'd say personally that if we went through with this plot, you can start planning with that if you like. Nothing too in-depth as of yet though, until everyone's had their say.
