Sergei kept on walking. "South and East, to Redwall." He told Vrelt, not really caring about the dangers the place offered to him. Woodlanders were nasty to his kind, even if they were good beasts themselves. Well, he wasn't exactly good, but not bad either. Sort of a grey area...
Then, he thought he had smelled some scent as well, an oddly familiar one. He stopped and turned about, cautious yet questioning, searching the undergrowth for a brief second. Wind whipped snowflakes into his face, and he blinked them away. "Hm." He turned about halfway again, not wanting to waste any time in his journey.

Vrelt smiled, "Well, me an' Kolia started off there. Would you believe that?" The tall ferret couldn't help the sense something he knew was near. As the snow fell Vrelt glanced around, trying to locate what ever he had sensed. Nothing. Vrelt kept walk through the snow with Sergei.

Kolia made a face of revulsion when Sergei mentioned the Abbey. It was the last place she wanted to go but it was too late to back out now. She looked down at Lightning. He was silently screaming now, his mouth searching for the sustenance that only she could give him. Not now she thought angrily. He couldn't possibly be hungry already, but then Taure had told her they would need to eat about every two hours. Keeping up with the twins schedule was exhausting. The weaslemum resigned herself to stop where she was for a bit. She could always pick up the trail again after a half hour or so. The rest would do her good too.

Vrelt thought back about Redwall, the especially the squirrel Silas who helped him while he was there. He told Silas he would come back and see him sometime. Seems like that would be pretty soon. Vrelt still thought someone, or something was out there, watching them...

Sergei turned about fully and kept going, commenting upon Vrelt's last sentence in a mumble. "Well, isn't that dandy..." It was a sort of casual expression, not much of sarcasm or annoyance, merely a bland alternative. He didn't really care, anyways, to be honest. It's not where you started that matters, it's how you get to the end. As for this thing that is supposedly following them, he let it. If it was a foe, chances are he could take them out. But if they were a friend...
Well, why hide?
Or perhaps they were neither. Or non-existent. He shook his head and padded on, more quickly now through the snow.

Kolia sat and carefully took both the twins out of the sling. She was careful not so much out of compassion for her sons but rather because she knew if Thunder was to wake he would give away her position. She breathed a sigh of relief when he kept sleeping peacefully and picked up Lightning settling him to eat. It was utterly amazing, the feeling of calm she felt everytime she nursed one of her sons. She supposed it had something to do with the hormones. The same ones that had made her crazy before were now helping her to care for her offspring. She looked down at the infant attached to her and actually smiled. She and Roask had somehow made these two little beasts. She smoothed Lighting's head fur gently. And then it happened before she could even attempt to react, Thunder woke and screamed, Lighting started at the sound and bit her, and Kolia knowing her cover was blown also yelled out a curse.

Vrelt smiled slightly at Sergei, "I wouldn't call it dandy." He heard the sound of a shrill cry, echoing through the forest. The screams startled Vrelt, the ferret had absolutely no idea what the heck that was. Vrelt turned around and slowly crept back through the foliage searching for whatever caused the sound.

What in Hell...?
The harsh cry of a newborn, unmistakenly identified to Sergei, was heard behid them. The weasel looked back over his shoulder, knowing that the only baby (Or rather, babies) within miles were with a certain beast he had seen four days ago. He walked back out of curiosity, though he wanted to get moving.
He moved through a bush, seeing the back of a beast facing them.
"Kolia? What're you doing out here?" He asks from a distance.

Kolia pulled her cloak over herself and her still nursing child. She sighed and rolled her eyes not ready to give in so easily to his questioning. "Well, Sergei, what does it look like I'm doing?" The bite had hurt and Thunder was still crying and she was really quite peeved at being discovered.

Vrelt crept up behind Sergei, "Oh, that was you." He smiled very slightly, "Hello Kolia. It's your old pal Mister Darkfang." He leaned back against a nearby tree. "You did a good job tracking us, until that baby screamed." Considering his words wisely, Vrelt didn't want to irritate Kolia to badly.

"Appearance and intent are different, you know." The weasel reasons, raising an eyebrow. "Why are you following us?" He asks more directly, wondering exactly why Kolia would follow them through the midwinter snows with two sons to care for on her own. And why did she bother to hide, anyways? As much as Sergei didn't want to get too involved in Kolia's wanderings and such, he would offer his assistance if called upon (Albeit with a grumble here or there).

"Thanks," the weaselmaid smirked at Vrelt and then turned more seriously to Sergei. "You didn't really expect me to stick around with those goody-goody paws theater creatures did you?" She rolled her eyes again knowing the answer wasn't going to be good enough for the weasel. "Look I'm a tracker. It's what I was born to do. My father was a tracker and his dad before him. I kind of lost it while I was pregnant but now I've gotta get back into my game if I'm ever going to find Roask." She shrugged smugly while she looked away. Rather awkwardly, she wasn't used to doing it with the cloth covering her and the baby, she switched Lighting over to the other side. Then she looked back up at the two males, "You were just practice."

Vrelt laughed, "Well my friend I wouldn't stick around 'em either their a bad influence." The ferret nodded, "So? Your a tracker I'm a soldier. Would it be nice if I practiced being a soldier on you perhaps?" He smiled as he looked at Kolia, that would knock the smirk off her face.

Sergei sighed, and leaned against a nearby tree, as he often did, seeming to be tired even though he wasn't. He was ready to go, to leave these two behind. But he knew he couldn't.
A Tracker, aye?
He eyed Vrelt in question as well, sensing that he was just kidding about it. He just leaned on his tree and waited to see how this all turned out, fiddling with the hilt of one of his daggers impatiently.

"Try it, Ferret." Her grin widened and she pulled the dagger out of her boot just to let him know that she still had it. She threw it strait up in the air and caught it by the blade with out so much as severing a hair. She laid the wepon beside her on the ground close to paw and released Lighting from his hold on her. He was done anyway. She looked up at Sergei. "I'll be done in a sec. Thunder's hungry too." She stated unnecessarily because the second twin was still crying.
