The corporal didn't hesitate to close the distance between the two, and he took the vixen's arm in his with a smile. "I would be delighted to escort you, Miss Ambersight." Right about now, the fox was inwardly praising General Drask and all the training he personally gave to him and the rest of the officers. Otherwise, Zahn would still be nothing more than an uneducated and primitive raider still stuck in Mossflower. Displaying chivalry toward other beasts had its advantages, this situation proved that all Drask taught him wasn't exactly useless.
Zahn rested his free paw on the hilt of the saber that hung proudly from his belt, in the typical ready for danger position favored by many swordbeasts. The fox didn't care for pirates or the others scum that frequented the streets of the town, he had dealt with enough of them on the journey back to Sampetra on he ship that was crewed mainly by pirates. He would be ready if the two foxes faced any hostile beasts on their walk through the town.
He started off down the rough path with Stella's arm in his, a gesture that may cause the pirate scum to stay away, for not many of them wanted to tangle with one of Drask's beasts. Many a bold pirate had met his death at the paws of one of the well trained soldiers of Drask's army. Stella would be safe with him when they walked through the town, that he was confident of.

Stella had to admit that she didn't mind being in the company of this dog-fox. He was very kind and brave and not bad looking. She caught a glimpse of their reflection in the dark window of one of the shops they passed and thought, Yes, it is rather nice to be seen escorted by one of Drask's beasts.
She had nearly forgotten about the weasel/stoat by the time they passed him. She was too busy thinking of how she had moved up in the world. Even if things ended tonight as they typically did for the vixen at least she could say that he was the highest ranked customer she'd had to date. She found herself hoping, though, as they continued their walk that this time it might turn out to be more than just a one night stand.

In town there was a creature coming home from her job. A creature known as the biggest beast on this island, a creature known to protect her young unlike most reptiles on the island of Sampetra, a creature that is rumored to kill anything. Even Queen and Darkfang troops. A monitor only known as... Mama Scarface.
The monitor was coming back from her job as a dock worker. Even though she had hatched and raised her last clutch into teenager hood and sent them on they're way. She now mainly worked for herself and to get along with the rest of her life. Though she still patiently and constantly looked for the opportunity to "give back" Drask's curved dagger. If only she knew how to do it. Most of the monitor guard are of monitors she never laid. Only 2 or 4 of them and quite a few left with Richard.... About a few months ago. Finally the rest of her children did normal or odd jobs outside the palace. There was really no true way to reach the ferret.... For now...
Mako noticed the two foxes passing him. The vixen he didn't know but the other one he sure did. The midget fox, at least thats what the half breed thought of him as. He wondered how that fox even become a soldier. Let alone if he could hold anything heavier than that sabre of his. If not than if he happen to have any trouble with him. It would soon not be trouble at all...
Krauser was still unsure. "Nothing strapped to your leg and under your breastplate? Once again. What do you take me for?" His paw now akimbo. If this was a game. It was a fun game, though slightly.... unexpected from a creature who liked sticking sword points in his face..

Unlike Stella, Zahn had not nearly forgotten about the shady looking beast that the vixen spotted outside the kitchens. The fox had kept alert from the minute they entered the town, and he didn't fail to notice the majority of the creatures wandering the street; including one of the very beasts who had just left Queen Moll's feast. Zahn recognized the half-breed, Vincent Richmond. He didn't turn his gaze to look directly at Mako, he kept his eyes straight forward; Zahn had no desire speak to that half-breed, or get in any type of confrontation.
Zahn tightened his grip on the handle of his saber, it was a slight comfort to know he was skilled in combat with this weapon, this town apparently wasn't the best place to be after the sun went down. Stella, on the other paw, didn't seem to be the least bit worried as they walked through the town, she must have been here far longer than he had if she could stride so calmly along the street. The corporal hoped they would get to where she lived soon, he did not plan on staying out here for much longer, for this place was scarier than the dense forests of Mossflower were at night. He never felt totally comfortable in dirty little towns like this, no matter how long he stayed on Sampetra.
His grip on his saber increased even more so when he caught sight of a fearsome monitor that was larger than any he had seen before. The monitor alone was plenty of reason to make all possible haste to get the the place where Stella lived, he really didn't want to tangle with that huge lizard. Zahn kept his eyes away from the monster monitor, for the fear that nearly everbeast felt about those types of creatures gripped him as well.

The vixen felt Zahn's arm tense and at the same time there seemed to be a change in the air. It was almost as if a storm were approaching. Stella's thoughts were back on her surroundings now and she wasn't as calm as she had been a moment before. "The mill isn't that much further," she said, walking closer to Zahn and gripping his arm a bit tighter. "That's where I'm staying."
"You're a very wise beast I think, but you have no reason to worry." Larka slowly untied the cords that held the breastplate in place and set it on the floor on top of her swords. there was obviously nothing beneath the skin tight tunic that was the only thing between the armor she had removed and her fur, but the long full skirt was another story.
The stoatmaid looked at the male for a moment to make sure he was watching and then she slowly began to lift the hem of the skirt: over her ankle, her calf, her knee. Then she hastily dropped it. "Of course if you don't trust me, you may want to do this part of the search on your own." She took a step toward him past the pile of weapons and armor, raised her arms over her head and laced her claws together so that he could see she wasn't reaching for anything.

Krauser smiled and wagged his tail once. This game was fun. Though the fact it was still dangerous was the thing he didn't really like about it. When he knew without a doubt she was truthfully unarmed than he will relax a little. "You sure? Been a long time since i ever done a body search. I'm not sure if i have the magic touch..." Wiggling his claws at her.
Mako had saw the monitor himself. At first he was stunned and surprised at the sheer size of her. If she was in a battle or a war, she could bash and demolish the first, second, third and fourth ranks! By herself to top that off! The thought of having this monitor on his side quickly allowed him to recover from his shock and actually approach the monitor, speaking in his calmest voice. "Hey uh. Lizard..."
Scarface turn her upper half to face the half breed, claws spread out and her good eye glaring into his. She made it clear she was in no mood for simple chats and conversations. Let alone with mammals. She was not a big fan of mammals. Ferrets and weasels the most. She hissed loudly and spoke out with her reptilian tongue sliding in and out of her mouth. "What? What do you want mammal? Zpeak up or get lozt..."

Larka bit her lip, watching those claws and a little shiver of excitement ran down her spine. "I suppose I don't have any choice. If you're to believe me, I'll have to submit to a thorough examination." She took another small step towards him, thrilling in the adrenalin rush that her fear was pumping through her. Yet still she stayed calm and kept her voice steady. "Let's, just for the sake of curiosity, say you found something. What would you do?"
She had just remembered the small dagger strapped to the inside of her right thigh. It was so much a part of her regular attire that she had nearly forgotten that it was there. It was mostly an insignificant thing, more a trinket than an actual weapon. Her father had given it to her when she was young so she would have some measure of defense growing up on the mean streets of Sampetra. Some little girls got lockets from their daddies, not Larka.

Krauser raised an eye brow and an ear at Larka for her curious question. He knew it! She was still armed! Though truthfully. Should he really punish her if she was armed? Hell. He was armed all the time, even in his sleep. Besides. She has not used it on him... Yet. "Well if i don't find it in your paws and it's not sharp or blunt. I won't harm you. It's better to hand it over to me. Though if you don't mind me taking it for you..." Another wag of his tail.

Larka swallowed. She was more nervous now than she had been before. "My Daddy warned me against males who might want to take things from me." Still she kept her brave stance claws laced on the back of her head. "I suppose it won't matter though if you take one thing and then the other, as the first was meant to protect against the violation of the . . ." There. She'd as much as admitted it. She'd never done this before.

Krauser almost laughed, but he managed to keep himself from doing so. " Really? Only thing i ever learned from my dad when i was young was to not piss him off when he was drunk or else he would chase me across the crop fields with a scythe." He thumped his tail on the floor once and put a paw to his chin "I wonder if he really intended to kill me with that thing... Oh well. Past is history when it comes to that.... Wait. What violation?"

Larka dropped her paws from behind her head and crossed them defensively over her chest. "The violation of . . . well . . ." She gestured with one paw as if wanting him to fill in the blank. "Daddy gave me my dagger to protect myself against males who might want to . . . " Again with the hand gesture before she finally spit out, ". . . take my . . . virginity." She was positively burning up in an embarrassed blush under her fur and was sure she was nearly glowing from it.

Krauser acted surprised and bugged his eyes and and wiggled his fingers again but more magically. "Oooooooo We don't want that to happen now do we? We all know what happens when it does happen. You'll go straight to hellgates! No questions asked!" Than he changed to a more serious look and tone "That's just a old wise beast's tale they used in ancient times so they can be jerks to younger beasts just because of the fact they can't do it anymore...... or maybe it's just a cruel joke to keep the young on they're toes. If that's it than it's a pretty good gag. Real knee slapper huh?" Raising an eye brow and smiling.

Feeling somewhat humiliated, young, and terribly inexperienced, Larka gave a nervous laugh. "Yeah, I . . . I guess so." She was glad he hadn't actually burst out laughing at her but now she didn't know how to proceed. She had thought she was doing a rather good job of seducing him before she went and spilled the beans that she really had no idea what she was doing. She couldn't just be the cool calm temptress now. He knew her for what she was: a naive maid. "I guess the gag worked on me," she said in a rather harsh self-defacing voice.

Krauser, being on who had to rely on both training and also primitive instinct during the Far Eastern War. He could sense certain things about beasts that most beast have long forgotten about after years of walking upright and wielding weapons. He could sense things like fear or nervousness off other beasts. " Never worked on me, mainly because i never knew it back than much. Hell. My parents never told my anything about doing it. My dad was a drunken bastard who didn't like me much and my mom so so scared of him that she would just be silent all the time just so she would not get his attention too much. First time i did it was mainly be pure drunkenness and instinct during the Jungle wars..... And i didn't realize until the day after that i did it with a weasel! Now that is humiliating! Though i did learning something from this..... Now i know how the lyrics to "Pop goes the weasel" really go." Smiling and seeing if he poked any funny bones in her.

Larka's eyes widened, partially because of amazement at the story but also from the realization of what was truly about to happen to her. At the same time, however she realized that he was trying to loosen her up and get her to laugh. It was comforting in a way and she did chuckle nervously. She let her arms drop to her side not feeling the need for their rather puny defense anymore.
They were close enough now that she probably could have reached out and touched him but she wasn't quite brave enough to make the next move so she asked him. "What happens next?"
