Krauser smiled and thumped his tail on the floor harder than before "Little anxious are we? Well some can just do it just like that, some require drinking and some require just alot of lovey dovey trash and the such, but all are triggered by one thing. Instinct. You may know when it hits you, maybe not. Even more so when you been drinking a lot. Than you just made a stupid choice and didn't realise it till maybe when you wake up the next mourning or afternoon. Though the only way you ever know how to do it and when you... just do it. Though of course this require a little less. concealed weaponry..." Putting his paws on his hips again. "Give it up."

Larka thought she understood what he meant about Instinct, if it was what she had been feeling all day since she first saw him. The warm queasy feeling in the pit of her stomach had appeared just after she went to the aid of the queen who had just run into this strong mysterious male stoat. She knew she wanted him when she had first drawn her sword against him and she'd been hoping all day that she wouldn't have to kill him before they got this chance.
She actually smiled again when he mentioned her concealed weapon and once again, heart pounding wildly this time, began to slowly raise her skirt. Up past her knee it went until the leather band around her right thigh was revealed and she removed the small, mostly symbolic for all the good it would do as a weapon, dagger. She turned it hilt first and held it out to him.

The big stoat carefully took her dagger and laid it on a dresser drawer top and went over to lock his door. "Biggest rule of them all. Always lock up before you do it. You thinking being new at it or mating with a creature of a different species is humiliating? Trust me. Nothing is more embarrassing than having some random beast walking in on you while your skirt is up or shirt is off. It's even worse if you happen to be a captain or officer because no amount of screaming, bossing around and ass kicking will wipe those smug looks off the lower rank's faces."
(Do not disturb moment now? xD )

She nodded at him, a ready pupil willing to learn whatever he would teach her.

The fox felt Stella's grip tighten over his arm, just the same as his paw clenched down over the hilt of his saber. To Zahn, the short walk through town felt like an eternity as he drew out his defense against that monster sized monitor in his mind; it frightened him to know that there wasn't much he could do. He kept a calm expression as they walked on; the only thing that prevented him from displaying some of his inward emotions now was the intense training he received from General Drask. Zahn increased his pace once Stella told him where she lived, eager to get out of the open streets. "Good. I don't like this place one bit."

Stella was still wary of the monitor and the halfbreed when she noticed that they were under the awning of a particular tavern where she had patronized in the past. Pulling the fox's arm with her she slipped into the crowd at the doorway and led him to a table where they could watch the action both outside and in.
"Don't mean to seem forward, but would you have a drink with me?" It was not meant to be an actual proposition but rather a joke at the situation in which the two foxes now found themselves.

The corporal allowed Stella a smile as he replied, "At any other time, I would have asked you. Presently, the situation demands for us to stay alert, 'stead of drinking." Zahn didn't sustain eye contact with the vixen for long, however, and he remained focused on their surroundings in the tavern. The fox shifted his gaze toward another beast wearing crimson red battle armor that was in the tavern; Zahn recognized the ferret as Captain Rigby, one of the foremost officers responsible for training new recruits in Drask's Army. In fact, that very ferret was one of beasts that helped train him when he arrived at Sampetra.
Rigby was a stout looking ferret in his forties, clearly a respected beast in the Army, despite only having the rank of captain. He could have advanced higher through the ranks, but he refused to do so, retaining his rank of captain for reasons known to nobeast but himself. The ferret was still a handsome beast despite the battle scars that he wore proudly, reminders of the many campaigns he had taken a part in before becoming one of the officers in charge of training new recruits. Rigby was presently unaware of the two foxes that arrived in the tavern, for the ferret had his attention directed elsewhere, on a ferretmaid sitting across from him. A ferretmaid that was far younger than him, probably in her early twenties, and she wore partial crimson armor, a sign that she was one of the new recruits. And it was apparent that the two beasts weren't there to discuss anything to do with the army.
The ferret captain caught sight of Zahn from across the tavern, and acknowledged the corporal with a slight nod, then he gestured for the fox to come over to his table. Zahn looked back to Stella immediately viewing the gesture and spoke to her, "Let's go over there. I know that beast, he's an old friend of mine." The corporal knew it would be far safer to be sitting over at Rigby's table, knowing that the ferret was one of the best fighters serving in Drask's army. Zahn didn't recognize the ferretmaid, but she appeared to be no more than a young beast that was seeking favor from her commander. The fox couldn't have been more wrong in his assumption.....

Mako was starting to wonder weither he made a mistake or not. This lizard was already showing rudeness and complete impatience with him. Not to forget she was also well over twice or more his size and could snap him like a twig with both of her hands, the long, whip-like tail that can break backs, the nasty claws that can rip open hide and finally, the mother of all dangers, The serrated teeth in her powerful jaws. Mako had met plenty of enemies and beasts in his time, but none where like Scarface. None.
Though again, he did his best and quickest to recover from the shock of dealing with a monster that could haunt a beast in his deepest darkest nightmares and spoke calmly. " There is no need for aggression lizard. I only wish to talk with you. Something you may be interested in. "
Scarface didn't understand mammals, she didn't understand why they make armies, she didn't understand why they give themselves ranks, and most of all. She didn't understand why they always make these little kingdoms and call themselves "Queens" or "Kings" or "Emperors." She always saw them as just another beast. Nothing great. If Drask's guards are so great and well trained than how is it she, a peasant monitor, can easily over power and kill them? Why is Moll considered a "Queen?" She looks more like some monitor's next meal.
Now she had to deal with the most latest wonder. Why is a half-breed mammal she did not even know bothering her? How did this mammal even know anything about catching her interests? The monitor sighed in a impatient and annoyed manner and replied. "Get on with it than. Hurry up and zpeak. Your wazting my time."

"Alright," Stella nodded and allowed Zahn to lead her toward the other uniformed officer. When she saw the ferret's companion however, she stopped in her tracks. It was not that Stella knew the other female. She had never seen the ferretmaid in her life. It was the look on the recruit's face that gave the vixen pause: a look of absolute disgust.
The ferretmaid seemed to know, or suspect rather because it wasn't true, the purpose of Stella's presence here with the dog-fox, and Stella wanted very much to set the matter strait. But then she saw the way the other female looked up at the male of her own species; as if she had similar intentions to those she suspected of the vixen.
Stella was flummoxed. Did this little ferretmaid think that the vixen was stepping in on her territory? She was certainly not.
After pondering all this in a brief second she realized that she had halted their progress across the room and she forced her footpaws to move forward once more. She glanced over at Zahn to see if he had noticed her hesitation and gave him a small smile.

Vera had difficulty removing the disgust from her expression, even with five years of careful training, she still couldn't hide her emotions properly, especially when it came to her extreme dislike of beasts like the vixen. She forced herself to change the look on her face as the two foxes approached the table, but she only did so because she didn't want to draw anymore attention to herself, for her identity must remain hidden. Rigby was clueless as to who she really was, for this was the first time she was ordered to observe the ferret. As far as the captain knew, Vera was merely a naive young ferretmaid, the same assumption that Zahn made about her.
The ferretmaid forced herself to smile at the two foxes as they arrived at Rigby's table, which was extremely difficult for her to do. Vera didn't recognize Zahn, but she quickly saw that he was a corporal, one that held himself higher than other beasts, even if he was short. She guessed this might be the fox Drask told her about, the one that showed great promise as an officer in his army. Vera had nothing but contempt for the vixen, however. She guessed the reason for Stella accompanying the fox was not merely to enjoy a drink with him, that was what disgusted Vera so much.
Zahn returned the smile to Stella as they quickly crossed the tavern, the brief hesitation was noticed, but it didn't concern the corporal. He pulled out a chair for the vixen once they arrived at the captain's table, before taking a seat for himself. "Captain Rigby, It's been a while since I saw you." Zahn caught the disgust in the ferretmaid's expression as he took his seat, a look that was clearly pointed at Stella, but that look quickly changed into a smile once they sat down. The ferretmaid's attitude concerned him, for he guessed she was hiding something, Rigby didn't seem to notice that.
Rigby smiled broadly at his old student, "Zahn, you've grown so much since I last saw you. Did you enjoy your time on that excursion to Mossflower with the general?" The stout ferret joked lightly with the short fox he once trained, indicating that he viewed the corporal as an equal now, after coming to know Zahn quite well during the rigorous training program. Rigby regarded the vixen with a brief smile, showing Stella the same respect that he gave Zahn, to a limited degree, for he never regarded any female as an equal to him or any other male.

Stella kept smiling but she felt very out of place. That look the ferretmaid had given her, even though she had received looks like that before, bothered her more than she would let on. It bothered her because that wasn't her life anymore. She had risen above selling herself for a few coins, at least she hoped she had. She shot a look over at Zahn, wondering what he actually thought of her. He'd been nothing but a gentlebeast to her the entire time she had known him, but granted that had only been for a very short time.
The vixen's gaze then went to the tavern window and she remembered why they had sought refuge in this place. It was impossible to see out to the darkened street with the glow of the candles and oil lamps inside. She wondered if they had escaped the notice of the monitor and the halfbreed.
The 'feast' of the servants was just braking up at the palace. It was the left over food from the meal in the dining room above but not nearly as much as everybeast would have liked. And they had nearly run out of things to say about the guests that had come to join the queen at her table. That was until the mouse chambermaid came skidding in and informed them all that neither the queen nor her body guard were in their rooms. This was news!
"Well where are they?!" asked the squirrelmaid.
They all had to wait a moment while the mousemaid caught her breath and took a drink of water. "I don't know. The queen doesn't seem to be anywhere in the palace."
"She's gone to meet that half-breed. I'll bet you anything," the squirrelmaid put in.
Not having anything to add the female pine marten sat listening intently.
"Well of course that's where she always goes but she never takes Larka with her and the stoatmaid has gone missing too."
"Where do you think she could be?" the pine marten asked breathlessly as if the best piece of information was just out of her reach.
The mousemaid grinned savoring the attention she was getting from everybeast for her knowledge. "Well, you know that stoat she was arguing with?"
"Yess?!" everybeast hissed expectantly.
"His door is locked."

Zahn addressed his old instructor warmly, catching up what went on since they last saw each other. "Yes, I enjoyed being attacked by savages in Mossflower, with the General fuming mad and screaming orders in my ear." The description the corporal gave was fitting of the recent trip to his old home, this time he was enlisted in an army instead of a primitive band of foxes, though. Reasons for that mission into Mossflower was unknown to all of the soldiers who came along, only known to the beast that issued the orders; Drask Darkfang. Zahn was one of the more trusted of Drask's officers, and yet he knew nothing of the purpose of bringing a sizable force to Mossflower, along with siege weapons, and doing nothing, it might have been a scouting mission for all he knew.
The fox turned his attention away from the ferret captain, and directed his gaze on Stella. She seemed uncomfortable, though not as much as she was when she stumbled outside the Palace's kitchen. Zahn was sure it had something to do with their present company of Captain Rigby and this ferretmaid, who gave Stella a rather mean look when she first came over.
Captain Rigby chuckled at the description of the recent excursion to Mossflower. "I'm glad I didn't end up comin' on that one. Being stuck here at Sampetra is always better than gettin' chased around by savages, eh?" The ferret didn't pay much attention to Zahn's companion, the same as Zahn didn't pay much attention to his. Both held it wasn't their business to talk about what each other was doing at the tavern with these two maids, so neither Rigby or Zahn brought up the subject.
It bothered Vera immensely that these two foxes came over to the table, for she had almost got the ferret captain to loosen up and say something, but her work was interrupted by Zahn and Stella. Drask had taught her how to improvise, however, and this wasn't going to stop her job for long. First off, she planned on getting on good speaking terms with the vixen, to quiet any suspicions she might have. The ferretmaid attempted to smile genuinely at the vixen as she introduced herself, "I'm Saden, one of the new recruits here. Nice to meet you," Vera had trouble keeping the smile plastered on her face as she asked for the vixen's name, it was for Drask, she told herself as she awaited Stella's response.

Stella also tried to remain polite. "My name is Stella. I'm a cook in the palace kitchens. Zahn here just offered to walk me home. The streets out there can be rather treacherous after dark." It was the seasons honest truth but Stella had a feeling the ferretmaid didn't buy a word of it just as the vixen didn't trust a word that came out of Saden's mouth. She smiled at Zahn in a way that she hoped was free of anything more than friendship.
The martenmaid giggled and stood up from the table. She figured she had gotten enough information to satisfy her mother. "Well, I'll see you lot in the mornin'. I'm off home."
The squirrelmaid and mousemaid were instantly silenced. The palace was their home. But Kara didn't really notice this. She only worked with these creatures and didn't really make the distinction that they were slaves and she was not. Cheerily oblivious, the young maid walked to the door and waved. "Goodnight."

Zahn stretched his paw across the table to shake Rigby's, deciding he had spent enough time here already, Stella appeared like she agreed. "Well, it's been great meeting you again, Captain. I think it's about time for us to leave here." The fox really wouldn't have minded spending a bit more time catching up with Rigby, but something about that ferretmaid disturbed him, he wanted to get out of here for that reason. Stella probably did as well, judging by the way her expressions changed.
Rigby guessed that the corporal was anxious to go to this vixens home, it didn't bother him that Zahn would rather spend some time with her, instead of catching up on things with him. "Then I'll see you tomorrow, Zahn. Enjoy your evening." He said the last line pointedly with a quick glance at Stella, indicating exactly what he thought.
Vera was more than pleased to hear Zahn expressing his interest to leave them now, it would get this vixen away from her. She had doubts that she could keep up acting polite to such a creature for much longer, thanks to this Zahn, she wouldn't have to, and she could finish getting information out of this ferret captain.
Major Alexander had avoided going to bed just yet, as he had been planning to do, instead, he took a walk like Zahn. But the Pine Marten took a totally different route, not taking the back way through the kitchen, instead taking a quicker route out the main gate . That way would lead him around the palace and to the back door to the kitchen, where he planned on picking up some wine, for he did not drink near enough at the feast. Alex neared the door with his mind on the latest move by Drask, sending a full detachment of soldiers to Mossflower with no good reason, at least not a reason that was disclosed to him or any other beast. The major was so absentminded that when he opened the back door to the kitchens and strode in he bumped into somebeast standing on the other side. Alexander frowned as he did so, not bothering to excuse himself for his clumsiness to the beast he ran into; a young looking Pine Marten. He was in no mood for this type of thing. "Get out of the way."

Mako and Scarface were long gone. Though not separated. the Half-breed had heard a lot of what Scarface had said and managed to catch something that managed to allow him to catch her interesting and suggesting and promising something someday. Allowance past palace walls...
Alcander (Or Cander as he is often nicknamed) the Pine Marten was still in a quite deep sadness. Now that he was out of the job, had no homeland to go back to AND had no royal family to serve like the Pure Ferrets. Although almost his entire crew had switched from they're armour and uniforms for silk and different colors. Cander had still keep his weapons and armour. though he left all but his arming sword behind. He wore his white and gold cloth with whatever pride he had left. Now he was just here to drink and do other more dirty things his money away. Not even caring if he recovers that money sooner or later after some more later raids or ship-to-ship battles...
So there he was. Drinking away his first glass at the tavern. Some of his beasts were nearby, but most of them were everywhere at once now in this town. Doing whatever they wanted and having whatever they felt they needed. He? He'll just have some drinks and maybe a little sex before he goes back to the ship and sleeps...
