Age: 24 years old
Species: Red Squirrel
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Good
Appearance:
Silas is a fairly tall squirrel, though he tends to slouch from time to time. His fur is that of a normal woodland squirrel, russet and kept clean most if not all the time. He prides himself in keeping physically fit, and a rigorous workout routine helps him retain lean muscle across his whole frame. His facial features show youth and vitality, a fact perfectly evident when he smiles in good company. His eyes are a deep blue, which can be filled with compassion or contempt, depending on just who you may be. His usual dress includes some sort of dark trousers with a light colored shirt, over which he puts a brownish vest, and in the winter seasons and while traveling he prefers to wear an olive green cloak.Belongings:
Silas is an experienced warrior, and therefore carries a variety of weapons with which to defend himself with. These items include a yew bow of standard size with a supply of arrows, a single-edged dagger with a bone hilt, and a double-edged sword, the craftsbeastship of which is quite remarkable. The blade is kept clean and sharp while the hilt keeps the weapon in balance, featuring a black gemstone set in at the bottom. Among these are his more peaceful items, an old mess kit he bought off of a soldier one day while in a small town, a canteen, extra sets of clothes, a small box of flint, an old walking stick, and not much else. However there is one item of value that the squirrel carries, a golden tailring. Only speculation accompanies just how he acquired it.Job or Position:
WandererPersonality:
Silas is usually a silent fellow, sometimes seeking a quiet spot to lay down and think. Though other times he can be found to be quite cheerful and almost never quick to anger, though his sarcastic sense of humor can jump in at either of these instances. He follows one of the many moral codes set forth by his ancestors, upholding his honor and willingness to lend a paw whenever necessary.History and Background Information:
Silas began life in a small settlement to the north of the west bend in the River Moss, in the midst of a peaceful community who rarely exited their own small borders. He was cared for by an adopted family, for reasons that escaped him at the time. Soon, though, it became apparent that the squirrel did not take well to peaceful repitition in his daily routine, seeing it as a bore. Barely fifteen, he set out for the first time from his village, following a path northward that travellers of old used to take. After two days of walking, he came upon another small settlement of squirrels, and caused quite the stir at the mention of his name. For his biological mother took up residence there, though he realized that her mate was not also his father. And so he learned of what happened to them, to everybody at the village, of a great struggle with the vermin of the North and his father's outnumbered band of defenders staving them off constantly from breaking through. It became his father's obsession, ensuring conflicts between him and Silas's mother. She eventually left him behind, with a newborn Silas and a mass of vermin to fight. Seeing that he couldn't take care of both things at once, he left Silas to one of his trusted friends in the village where he came from. After the story had been told, Silas picked up his father's old sword from his mother (As he believed she had no right to have it anyway), and headed back to his own village to rest before he went traveling again, walking and tree-hopping so much that he knew Mossflower like the back of his paw. He stayed clear of vermin patrols, which were growing in regularity as the years went by, though more than once he had to turn and fight, being quite a dramatic learning experience. He now passes his time visiting between settlements, an anonymous traveler searching for something that defies description.Any other details:
