Pellaeon is one of my favorites. Thrawn was cool too, General Veers and Daala were pretty good.

Didn't Veers get killed by Vader, or did he die on the SSD that was taken out by the A-Wing suiciding into the bridge? I lose track of the Imperial generals....they keep dying.
My favorite Moff is Seretti

My favorite baddie would have to be Grand Admiral Thrawn.

According to Wiki, Veers wasn't on the SSD when it blew, he was on a planetside mission and later died in a suicide attack that he lead against the rebels in the comic Dark Empire 2.

Grif, Montross is Jango's rival bounty hunter in the game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. He's crazy and sadistic and basically left Jaster Mereel (Jango's father figure) to die (Montross used to be a Mando). Yeah I think Dooku is a bit underrated, but you're also forgetting that it was a new and improved Anakin he was fighting. But yeah it did seem a little too easy because Dooku was quite powerful. I have mixed feelings about Thrawn. On the one hand, I think he's an awesome badguy, but on the other hand, I think he's a little too hyped up by the authors. I think he's a little annoying sometimes; he is too perfect I guess. But he still makes a good badguy and is a much better military leader/strategist than most Imperial leaders (even the other famous ones). I like Pellaeon a lot too. Of course he's not really that much of a badguy, but he's still really cool. He might not have the genius of Thrawn or others, but he is very wise and knows how to learn lessons. He learned a lot from Thrawn is a quite capable leader. Even though I don't like him, I also think Xizor was a really good badguy even though he wasn't really Imperial. But Thrawn was definitely the most epic Imperial badguy since the Emperor and Vader. Veers is really cool as well. Also Thrawn is supposed to have been the one to recommend Veers to Vader. No. If he was really a game nut, he would know a little about the history of RTS. TA and Starcraft came out roughly about the same time. What Starcraft did was it was the first RTS to have a truly immersing campaign and have several different races with unique playing styles. Then there's Total Annihilation which did not have an immersing campaign, and the two races seemed extremely similar (though you could master one and then get destroyed playing the other). However! Total Annihilation defined the gameplay standards that modern RTS games have to live up to. It introduced many gameplay elements that are now considered standard in most RTS games like unit grouping into numbers, setting waypoints, having build queues (holding down shift lets you add 5 at a time), the current standard for fog of war, realistically rendered/modeled 3d terrain mapping, wreckage from blown up units that could be harvested for metal, and a fully featured navy and airforce. TA also had many gameplay elements that modern RTS games still have not measured up to like the way radar functions, the way that it models the physics of projectiles, the way it simulates real combat, the way your engineers and commander can queue up multiple build orders, and etc (until Supreme Commander). You had truly potent artillery cannons that required spotters or radar to target, and intelligence became a key aspect to the game. You needed scouts patrolling the fringes of your territory because the enemy could use radar jammers to hide a surprise attack from your radar. With the expansion pack, you can also have cloaked spies that can spot for artillery and airstrikes but they must operate in conjunction with radar jammers on the edge of the enemy visual range in order to not get spotted by radar. TA also introduced the idea of having a commander unit to start with which if killed, loses the game. So then snipers become extremely dangerous because a few snipers together can kill the commander in one volley. And then the nukes and counternukes (you actually build the nukes in a silo and they actually launch and travel across the map. And for its time and even now, the explosions are impressive with debris flying everywhere and the ground shaking with a nice deep BOOM! In addition, the music in TA is absolutely epic. And the bombers are simply awesome. Supreme Commander takes it to a new level giving you more control over your units than any RTS to date (it is made by Chris Taylor who also made TA). I don't want to write a whole lot about it now, but anyone who is truly hardcore about RTS games (and I don't just mean a nut, I mean hardcore as in not just spending lots of time playing, but wanting strategy and depth in their RTS) will be of the opinion that TA and Supreme Commander are the most important if not best RTS games in history. It has also been said that Supreme Commander is the first true strategy RTS game. Here are the many awards the game has earned (not mentioned on the list is Gamespy's Top Ten Real-Time Strategy Games of All Time 2004 which TA was 1st and Starcraft 2nd): www.shonner.com/ta/awards.htmI refer you to this site for more information: www.shonner.com/ta/index.htmsorry, I'm just tired of hearing that Starcraft is the best RTS because it's not (I've played both games, trust me. Of course, TA requires more effort to learn and more brain power to win).
