"Well, I'm about ready I think . . . no," Moll then remembered that she had said she would make another flinger. "I need t' do one more thing." She noticed that while she had been packing Barlow had as well. She was glad that he would be coming along. It would be good to have another friend close by and it seemed that he knew her parents very well. She could pepper him with questions on the long sea voyage to pass the time. Barlow had allowed her to set up something of a workshop in the corner of the kitchen to tinker with her toys during her free time. She had several tools that she had collected and the materials to make several different types of contraptions. She still had the first catapult she had been given as a child. She decided to bring it along. Teague might be interested in that also. Then she set to work building another flinger like the one she had given to Aiden. It didn't take her long. She had a few other attempts that were in various stages of completion. She only had to find the one that was the closest to her successful finished project and tweak it a bit until it was identical to the other one. She had only to test it to make sure she had done everything right. "Aleah, could y' please bring me a few of those hazelnuts there?"

Aleah nodded obediantly and grabbed a small pawful of hazelnuts which she carried over and handed to Moll carefully so that they didn't spill.

"Thanks, Matey," Moll winked at the ottermaid and ruffled her ears. "Now let's see if this'n works as well as the one I gave to Aiden." Moll put a hazelnut into the sling of the flinger and aimed it at the deep cauldron of skilly that was still hanging over Barlow's cooking fire. She let the weight drop and watched the hazelnut zing across the room and right on target. It hit the large metal cauldron with a loud ping like the sound of a great bell.
"What in blazes was that," Barlow came running out of his own bedroom where he had been packing a moment before.
"That was another successful construction bein' tested. You know Teague and 'is general seem to think these little things could be made bigger and used as weapons? An' 'ere I al'ays that they were just toys."

Aleah giggled happily as Moll ruffled her ears. She watched excitedly as she put a nut in the tiny contraption and flung it into the pot of soup she had been aiming for. That's amazing, Ma'am. Did you build it yourself?

"That I did, matey." Moll smiled at the praise and then she turned serious. She took the little otter by the shoulders and looked into her eyes, "I need ye t' do sumat for me. Teague needs this flinger." She paused a moment knowing that the ottermaid didn't want to go anywhere near the emperor. "Now, don't you worry yur little rudder about it. I won' make you take it to 'im. Find Aiden. Aiden will know where to find him. Give the flinger and this'n too, I guess. . ." she handed the flinger and the earlier model catapult to Aleah, ". . . to Aiden, with my instructions to give them t' Teague. Then you get back t' yur room, pack, and rest. It's gonna be quite a day tomorrow, I'm sure." Moll gave the little otter a quick hug and sent her on her way.
"Yep, yur father's daughter, sure 'nough." Said Barlow, who had been standing behind Moll watching her.
Moll suddenly felt a surge of pride at being compared to her famous father. With the pride, came all the authority the position dignified. "Well then Barlow, all packed?"
"Aye, ready to go," the fat old searat winked at her.
"Righto, take your cookin' gear down to the docks and get 'em on that boat. If anybeast gives ye any trouble tell 'em it's by order of the queen," She gave a little flourish with her paw and turned her nose up snootily.
"Aye, aye yur majesty," he swept a deep bow and then grinned. "Yu'll do just fine, lass. Now get yur tail back up to that fortress before they think yu've jumped ship."

Back with Teague:
Teague grabbed the book and map and some other maps and he stuffed them into the haversack. He knew he would need them. He also had a feeling he would need an assassin soon. He calmly walked down to the first floor. Once there he went to his throne room and took his scimitar, crossbow, saber, cutlass, and dagger and armed himself. But he only armed himself with the scimitar, dagger and crossbow. The rest he packed. He signaled the shadows briefly. "Jokan you are to go and get two halberds and spears for you and Jocard. Jocard you are to rally up a troop of 20 guards and bring them down to the docks and onto the Deadly Knife. One last thing before you come down to the docks beat the captain all you want." At this Teague nodded and walked off down to the docks to set sail. He knew already where to find an assassin and all of that.
OOC:Teague may own the ship but he is not the captain. He is the king so someone else is captain. I have two examples one in chronicles of narnia the voyage of dawn treader where caspian is not captain of the ship and two in this book i am writing the lord of the country is not the captain of the ship so the captain for now is an NPC but i might make him to play

Moll walked back alone to the fortress. She wasn't really worried about any danger on the dark streets near the docks. She had her cutlass with her now and her dagger in her boot. And most any beast she would meet would know her from the Crow's Nest. And by now most of them would probably also know that she was their queen. News traveled fast on the little island. The corsairs would know better than to mess with Teague's bride to be. She reached the fortress with no event and found her way back to her own room. It was as she had left it. Her old clothes that she had changed out of when she put on the new dress were lying on the chair and her bed, slightly rumpled from where she had plopped down on it earlier, looked very inviting now in her weariness. Moll removed the dress and hung it carefully in the wardrobe that had been provided. Then she slipped between the satin sheets and in no time was sound asleep.

Teague was on his way to the docks. He knew that they would not leave until tomorrow morning but he was going to spend the night on the ship. He had a feeling that something would happen and of course he was right. He was not going to worry himself so he just cleared his mind. Once he got to to the docks he climbed aboard the Deadly Knife silently. He went below deck to go to his cabin. Once he got there he unloaded his stuff and looked at the nice room. He got into the bed and just thought about things he was not tired yet.

When Moll woke it took her a few minutes to remember where she was, in this oh so comfortable bed, in this huge sunlight filled room. And then she wondered what had woken her.
"Majesty?" said a small voice for what must have been the third or fourth time.
"Wah!" Moll jumped in shock at the voice. She pulled the cover up to her chin and tried to calm herself. "I'm sorry I didn' know y' were there. Er, why are you here?"
"They're all waiting for you down at the dock, majesty," said the small otter slave. There seemed to be alot of them around.
"Great blinkin' seasons! I totally forgot," then she stopped herself for a moment and looked kindly at the otter, "Sorry, er, thanks fur, tellin' me." She looked around the room. "I'll need to get somebody to help me bring my things . . ."
"It's already been taken care of." the slave interrupted her, bolstered by her kindness.
"Right, well then, I guess I just need to get dressed."
"Yes, Majesty. I'll just wait outside."
Moll dressed as quickly as she could in her old skirt and peasant shirt. She buckled her belt around her waist and thrust her cutlass through it then she pulled on her boots and slipped her dagger inside the right one. Her new dress and all her other things had indeed gone from the room she assumed that someone had packed them for her and brought them down to the boat while she slept.
Once she was dressed she ran with all speed down to the dock.
