Skreeb was very proud of himself, and he turned to the Warlord and gave him an obliging nod.
"Another one, y'say? Ah! I go' one!" He began to play a much faster tune than the one before that had a bit of an adventerous flair to it:
"'Hey!' said a baby mouse
with a pair of curious eyes,
'there should be a tree about
right here where my feets lies!'
And of course his mumma went
to find what her son wants;
and this is how her time was spent
to git just what he wants:
"Oh! She fought the pike;
Jumped over the spike;
She built a dike;
An' did what she like:
An' whaddid she see?
Her little baby
Sayin','Thankee mummy;
Ye foun' me a tree!'
"'Hey!' said a baby mouse
with a pair of curious eyes,
'there should be a hill about
right here where my feets lies!'
And of course his mumma went
to find what her son wants;
and this is how her time was spent
to git just what he wants:
"Oh! She yanked somebeast's tail;
Put on some mail;
Flew like a quail;
An' crafted a flail:
An' was her babe still?
To that I say nil;
He said,'By my gill;
Ye go' me a hill!'
"'Hey!' said a baby mouse
with a pair of curious eyes,
'there should be a whole world about
right here where my feets lies!'
And of course his mumma went
to find what her son wants;
and this is how her time was spent
to git just what he wants:
Here the song got much slower and quieter, with a gentler appeal:
"'Me liddle son,' she said.
'I know ye can use yer head,
so look on the ground
an' see what you've found
my finicky sweeeeeeet~(Skreeb winked at the gathered crowd at this point)
Everybeast in the whole wide world
Has all that world at their feet!"
