((Twas a weapon, though I was planning to have some humorous/mildly life-threatening event happen. Could go either way.))
"Yeah." Sergei replied, looking into the cold, clear waters of the River moss, stepping in the shallows again. He knew he had lost a dagger. Of course, it so happened to be his first dagger, the only tangible gift he really recieved from his mother. The question was: where is it now?

Vrelt glanced over the surface of the icy cold waters for a moment before turning back to starting a fire. He pulled a piece of flint from his sack, and tried lighting a fire; he was hoping the flint would work, even if it was wet. Striking it together with a small rock, Vrelt attempted to start it. Luckily for him sparks flew from the flint, and onto the dry wood he had gathered, seconds later the sparks became a growing fire. Vrelt smiled at his work.

Kolia was mesmerized for a couple of minutes by the flames while Vrelt started the fire and only when she looked back at Sergei did she realize that he had stepped back into the water. "Umm," she said to him with a slight edge of panic in her voice. "What exactly did you loose?"

"Uh, a dagger." Sergei explained from where he stood as he looked through the clear, cold waters for the sharp object. Walking a little deeper into the shallows, he frowned, though not solely because of his freezing footpaws.
It couldn't've gone far...

Vrelt held his paws out over the smallish fire for a moment, then he stood and turned back to Kolia and Sergei. Well, it seemed Sergei was having some problems of his own right now. "Get yourself warm, Kolia. That being cold and wet at the same time doesn't have a favorable outcome." The weaselmaid didn't seem to be used to the cold much, and it wasn't good to be out in it while drenched with freezing ice water.

Kolia moved closer to the fire as she was bid but she kept her eyes on Sergei. Her paw went to her boot and she felt her own dagger resting cold against her ankle. So the one she had fished out of the river and placed in her belt couldn't possibly be hers. She held it up and looked at it for a moment before she called out to the weasel in the water. "Is this what you were looking for?"

The dagger Kolia had found was perhaps a simple yet elegant form of metalworking, from the flowing designs pressed into the leather grip to the blade itself, which seemed to glow a faint blue in the cold. An inscription on the blade read in odd letters that sort of resembled the english alphabet but not quite,

Sergei looked up at Kolia as she held up the object, and stood there for a moment, surprised as well as cold. "Y-Yeah, that's it. How did y-"
Ploosh! The weasel tripped on a rock and fell under the surface of the water, being swept along by the current briefly before finding his footing again and attempting to surface... through the sheet of ice now overhead.

Kolia jumped up in one quick motion; a move that was quite astounding for a female who had just given birth to twins less than a week before and was now holding both of them in her arms. She realized that she was helpless to do anything with her paws full the way they were so she yelled at the only other creature who was nearby. "VRELT! HELP HIM!!"

If it wasn't a life-threatening situation, Vrelt would have been tempted to burst out laughing, and he nearly did, until Kolia screamed at him to help Sergei out from under the layer of ice. It seemed he was going to have to be all heroic right now. Vrelt quickly got to his paws and charged to the river, stopping himself from plunging straight in it at the last possible second. Then he tried to find out where Sergei was at, and a moment later he found him, Vrelt waded into the icy water and slowly made his way over to where Sergei was, hacking through some of the ice with his skinning knife. Once he made it to Sergei, he stabbed the knife into the ice, then seeing it wasn't going to cut all the way through, he slammed his fist down on the ice, shattering a smallish hole, not large enough for Sergei to get out of, but enough so that he could get a breath of air before attempting to get out.

The weasel's snout quickly poked through the hole in the ice after a few tense moments. He took in a breath or two, and uttered something akin to 'thanks', only in gasps, before his snout disappeared under the ice again. He then shoved upwards upon the ice as he had already found solid footing, and before long, the ice started cracking and squeaking as the pressure was applied to it. Sergei shoved upwards with all of his strength, trying not to panic unnecessarily, breaking through the thin yet somehow heavy layer of ice after a minute of this, growling as he threw the pieces from himself.
"I g-guess I was d-due for a bath..." He declared, making light of the situation even though he was now angry at himself for slipping up so easily. He then attempted to get out of the water, knowing that he only had so long to live, wet as he was in the middle of winter.

Vrelt smiled at Sergei's attempt at a joke, though it wasn't all that funny how serious the situation actually was, now that the weasel was soaked again in the icy water. It wasn't that bad, the fire would probably get Sergei dry again, and without any adverse damage to him because of the mix of cold weather and colder water. Vrelt held out his paw to help the weasel out, hopefully Sergei wasn't too heavy, but Vrelt guessed he wouldn't be any harder than Kolia, and he had carried her when she was still pregnant.

Kolia watched the weasel and the ferret closely, biting her lip. Then realizing that she occupied the best place by the fire and that she herself was nearly dry, she moved away a bit so that Sergei could be brought over to benefit from it's warmth. She laid the dagger down in the spot as she moved knowing if he had made such a desperate move to retrieve it that he would want it now. "You alright?" she asked as she re-situated herself with the twins.

" 'M fine, th-thanks." He walked over, shivering involuntarily as a breeze passed by, and huddlled around the fire as he examined his dagger furthur. The cold steel glowed a dim blue in the dreary light, showing the same words hammered into the middle of the blade itself.
Myxcetbo
After a moment of examining the blade furthur, the weasel pocketed it, and waited for the fire to warm him back up.

Vrelt strode over to the fire and took a seat between Kolia and Sergei, he held his paws out over the fire, warming them up a bit after the short contact with the water. It must have been even worse for Sergei. He looked over at the beast he just helped out of the water, "How's that for heroic?" Vrelt smiled at the weasel briefly for a moment, but he then turned his attention to Kolia. "How are you holding up out here?" He knew there was the issue of food, but he was going to wait until one of them said something before trying to solve than problem.

"Me?" Kolia hadn't really expected to be addressed just then. "I'm - I'm fine I guess. Getting warmer now." She looked down at the twins. They were resting a little more peacefully now. She wondered if they would be hungry again soon, and why it seemed that when they had a perfect time to stop and eat they were never ready for that. Chances were that as soon as the males were ready to be up and moving again Thunder and Lightning would finally be ready to be fed or changed or something else equally time consuming. Thinking of feeding the twins made her remember her own stomach but she wouldn't be the first to bring it up. She didn't want the others to think her weak. She didn't have any concept of the idea that to keep up her milk supply she needed to keep herself nourished as well. She was still too stubborn to heed the signals that her own body was giving her and despite the brave front she was putting forth she was starting to feel a bit weak. Maybe it was just the heat of the fire getting to her or the sleepiness from traveling so long but as she looked again at the ferret her vision seemed to slip out of focus. Had Sergei moved to stand closer to him or was she starting to see double. And then she slumped back onto the ground. Thank goodness for the cover of soft snow and the fact that she was already sitting rather than standing. Thunder began to whine at the sudden contact with the cold wet stuff but other than that no harm was done to either of the infants.
