Wolfie saw them and watched the confrontation silently for awhile, but he suddenly leapt in front of Virek snarling savegely, angered by the threat to his new friend.

Virek smiled at Wolfie's sudden intervention. "That's why you don't mess with me. My best friend is Wolfie!" The young ferret stood shoulder to shoulder with Wolfie, his dagger drawn. "I wouldn't mess my friend if I were you."

The cat with the curved sword smiled wide when he saw the rat jump up front. "Why lookie here! It's a rat! Been a while since i had rat or mouse for dinner. Right brother?"
The cat with a bow laughed "Yes! If we do have to kill them! We should cook and eat that one. Make a nice hat too. Maybe a tunic for me dear son!"
Alot of rats had a natural fear of cats. Wildcats killed their victims quickly. Cats like to torment their pray long before they kill them. Rats and Mice were the most common victim to the cat's cruel torture...
The monitor hissed loudly. Enraged that another enemy had gotten involved in this scene. If more enemies come. They might be overwhelmed! He pulled out a horn and blew hard into it. The sound reaching long distances...

Wolfie snarled ferally and charged at the monitor before anyone could stop him. He lunged at the monitor' throat, aiming to both knock the horn out of his claws and keep him from blowing it forever.

Meanwhile, Shade the fox hadn't abandoned the three just yet. He watched the scene with interest, and as soon as it turned violent, he decided to jump in, abeit discreetly. What good were potential soldiers if they were dead? He waited for his chance.

Virek acted with lightning speed; sheathing his dagger then whipping his bow from off his back and notched an arrow to it, aiming at the cat with the sword. He smiled wickedly; the ferret was an excellent marksman, and even if he only grazed the cat, his arrows were tipped with a deadly poison, one tiny scratch could kill.

The monitor managed to blow the horn. But was forced to cut it off and drop it along with the axe by mistake when the rat lunged. The lizard grabbed the rat with both his hands and tried to keep it from knocking him over. Managing to regain his balance. He tried to bite the rats face. Monitor have a mild poison in their mouths that made nonlethal but painful and serrated teeth. Making it deadly in a up close fight.
The cat with a curved sword jumped in front of the ferret like a flash. "Don't you move one step!"
The cat with a bow, interested and surprised by the sudden sounds of attack looked back once....

Wolfie managed to dodge the moniter's teeth and attempted to tear at the monitor's face face in return with both teeth and claws, trying desperately to rob his opponent of the critical aid of vivion by scratching his eyes.

Virek stood his ground and smiled, "I'm not afraid of you." He took a step forward still smiling. "I took a step. What are you going to do? I took a step." Virek hoped the cat didn't attack him; the young ferret didn't feel like getting into a fight. Even if it was easily won.

The cat smacked the same footpaw the ferret stepped with and pointed the sword threateningly at him. "Im warning you! Your not making very smart moves here!"
The monitor knew this fight was on his side. He was larger and stronger than the rat. Plus he had teeth and claws a great deal sharper than his. His tail also made for a good weapon too. Stiff and powerful. The monitor flung the rat from him. Suffering small scratches on his face in the process. By luck he managed to pull the creature off before it took both his eyes out. He quickly swung his tail at the rat. Hoping one good smack will send him face first into the ground and stay down.

A dagger tore through the air from a bush, landing point-first in the dirt between them, one foot away from taking someone's footpaw out.
"I don't think anyone is, cat." That familiar voice spoke up, watching them with grey eyes. "To walk around so sure of yourself, so intent on causing compliance through threats is the mark of a fool, one who would answer to a more 'powerful' master..." He glared fiercely into the cat's eyes. "I see no reason for you or your company to be here."

Virek smiled wickedly at the cat with the sword, "As my friend said, threats are the mark of a foolish one. True valor is measured by wisdom and cunning." The young ferret let the arrow fly over the cat's head and then dropped the bow and drew his dagger. Virek held the dagger under the cat's throat.

The cat glared at the ferret. "Go ahead and kill me! Ya lucky ye even could touch me with that dagger!"
The other cat. The one with a bow. Aimed at the fox. "Ye best leave pal. Take your comrades with ye. Reinforcements are coming. Hans will not be happy about what havoc ye be doing to the area around that silly Redwall place. What are ye trying to do? Use the Barbarian Tribes? To fight against us? Ya wasting ye time! Those dumb so-called "Mighty Tribes" flee at the news of us coming their path. It's obvious that your plan to fight us will fail. Why don't ye just leave and let us go about our business. Scouting and finding the tribes. Than taking their tributes so we will not "harm" them. Just a easy way to get wealthy."
The monitor hissed at the rat to make it clear it should keep his distance. Than glared at the fox. "I am getting zick of you fox! Your a pezt! An Annoyance!"

"Now, now, my assumptive feline, Whoever said that I would do anything of the sort? Do you think me foolish as well? Weak, cowering behind weapons and threats?" He looked in the bowcat's direction. "Even with your presumed 'skill', you still call on backup. Even when confronted by a beast that has a mind to end your existence, you stay blindly confident of your own survival." Here he paused. "So tell me, who is the greater fool?" It was his outspoken warning to the three beasts. If they wanted to fight with his clients, they were fighting with him. And fighting him proved to be a very unpleasant experience at best. He waited for movement.

"Everyone needs help from time to time. Even powerful Northern creatures from the Land of Ice and Snow need help and loyalty. Though even beasts like i make mistakes. I had a bad feeling that you had escaped that castle. Out of Salvador's claws and i know that cat Toboe had something to do with it. Poor creature. He is way too trusting. I should have known better. But i felt so much pity for the creature. Like Richard pitied me..."
A Large Arctic fox, Dragging a dead Long Patrol hare by his ears, Bleeding from a few small unnoticeable cuts, Walked out of his hiding place and released the hare's ears. The creature had the Zweihänder with him.
"Drop that dagger ferret. If you want to dual a beast. Make it me. I'll even let you bring your fox fright to double team me and to top it all off..."
The fox give the monitor his sword and ordered him to back off a few feet from the fox, ferret and rat. The bowcat with the bow too. "My longsword will not be involved in this fight and you take that cat's sword. You'll need it..."
The fox was a savage looking creature. Yet it's voice did not sound evil or cruel. It sounded though with a power. A strange power. It held no fear. It was claim. It had no rage. It sounded serious
"Tell me ferret. By the looks of you. You at lest have some connection to those known as the 'Pure' Ferrets right? You are creatures that like riches and showing your wealth and power? But let me guess. You siding with this creature? You will earn no riches from him. Maybe a dagger sliding into your back. But no wealth. i bet i know what this fox plans to do. It has no benefit in it. Other than destroying any chance of making beasts like us more wealthy. Yes. War is good for those who are too stubborn to be reasoned with or to deal with a powerful nation or civilization and of course. Take over and control to expand your own Empire. But war itself is a waste of wealth and riches and asks for the cost of countless lives. It's risky to try and if there is the off chance you lose. Your more than likely finished. And since this fox is likely trying to get tribe's on his side. This means his enemy is that place called Redwall. But i heard of those who had tried their luck against that place. And you know what happened to them all? They all died. All of them. That fox wants to gather up a fighting force against Redwall. How do i know? Number one. Almost every vermin hates that place. It's a very common enemy to vermin. Number 2. Because other then the Badger Lord's mountain and the tribes of shrews and Otters. Lets not forget savage Flitchaye and Painted Ones. But they are mostly avoided. Redwall is pretty much the only place vermin target throughout history. Other than the badger mountain. Oh! and i almost forgot. Wondering why there are Long Patrol hares around Mossflower? Because they are after the remains of Richard's Army after they attacked The mountain and lost. Hunting for me ferret! The second your sent to attack Redwall. They will be involved! That fox is leading you straight into your grave Ferret. If the redwallers and Long Patrol hares don't kill you. That fox will when your back is turn to him. When you not worth anything to him anymore.
The fox stood there. Waiting for what the ferret will say or do. His axe and Cutlass drawn. Waiting for what the ferret will say or do next...
(OOC: I think i went a little too far on this post. Sounds like this fox knows WAY too much in such a short time! But when it comes to history and other thing. He is quite knowledgeable of those subjects. Not to mention he seems to see connections to certain things... If anything is wrong. I will delete it. I do not wish to make anyone upset with this post.)
