There was a town dog mentioned early on in Redwall, by Methuselah, but nothing other than it carrying the word of a demise of some creatures at the claws of Cluny

Don't think there are any good snakes - only garden snake I ever saw tried to kill a dibbun.

yeah. first Redwall. there was no garden snake after a dibbun that I remember. I remember an eel in Long Patrol though

Nah, the garden snake was in Salamandastron. It wasn't that big either.

what part of it? I honestly don't remember any garden snake. There was a newt, but no garden snake

Uh, I read it not too long ago. It was Thrugg going by the forest, and he heard a scream. It was baby Dumble. It was a garden snake after him. Thrugg tied it in a knot.

I think Jacques should make a book that takes place primarily in/on/by the water. He could have a lot of water animals and introduce a whole new world of Redwall. Wouldn't that be awesome? Water animals being the main species in one of his book? I guess it would be pretty limited though...
