Appearance:
Age: 28 Years (112 Seasons)
Species: Harvest Mouse / Rat
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Good
Appearance:
Rokna is of a medium build, not being too slim or fat. She isn't too tall, standing a little less than a head shorter than most other mice her age. Don't let her small height fool you, though. She can pack a punch when she needs to.Belongings:
Rokna's fur is a chocolate brown in color. A light brown patch is found over her right eye and covers her underbelly as well as her chin.
Almond-shaped eyes, light green in color, set in her face not too far away from her snout. The ears that set some ways above them are somewhat smaller than ears of other mice, due to her part rat heritage. Everything else about her body is mouse-like with the exception of her tail. It is a little thicker than normal and a tad bit longer. (Although if you weren’t searching for it, you probably wouldn’t notice all that much.)
Her usual attire consists of her dark green habit, a belt around her habit, and a pair of sandals so her feet won't get hurt while walking around. Her habit comes down to just above her ankles and you will always see her with the sleeves rolled up to her elbows.
Rokna's possessions include her habit, sandals, a couple of kitchen utensils, and a good home at Redwall Abbey.Job or Position:
By trade, Rokna is a cook. To be more technical, she is the head chef, the Friar, at Redwall Abbey.Personality:
Rokna is passionate about her job as Friar. She loves being around the kitchens and gets edgy when there isn't the smell of food in the air.History and Background Information:
She is quite the stubborn mouse, never giving in to what others tell her. Despite this, Rokna is a good listener and doesn't interrupt when others are talking. (Unless it is for a good reason, of course.)
When around others, Rokna is quite hardy and a wonderful creature to be around. While she is by herself, however, she is quiet and tries not to disturb anyone.
Despite her age, she is quite child-like.
Rokna's mother fell in love with a rat corsair who claimed to be a gentlebeast. They settled down on the coast, not very far away from where the corsair's captain wanted to build a fortress. As the two beasts spent time with each other, Rokna's mother found out more about the rat. After Rokna was born, she came to the conclusion that her so called 'husband' was using her and was going to kill her soon. So, taking Rokna, she fled from the north lands.Any other details:
They arrived at Mossflower not too long after they fled. Her mother was afraid now. What if the vermin followed them? One night, paranoia got to Rokna's mother and, in her haste to flee the make-shift camp, accidently left her young child.
The next morning, a Redwaller looking for herbs for the infirmary found Rokna. He brought her back to the Abbey.
------------------------
As she grew older, Rokna showed interest in many fields of work at the Abbey. She helped in the orchards, went searching for herbs when the infirmary ran out, and she even (at one point) wanted to clean the Abbey from the attics down to the cellars. Only one aspect of Abbey life did she show the most interest in.
Rokna started to hang around the kitchens as much as she could. She soon became an assistant cook. The previous Friar noticed her enthusiasm for cooking and gladly stepped down from his position, letting her take his place. "I'm getting too old for this kind of work! My bones are a achin' for some rest." were his exact words.
Ever since, she has been Friar at Redwall Abbey.
