Somebeast else had also noticed the strange behavior and she raised an eyebrow under the shadow of her hood. She told herself that she thought the stoat to be the biggest threat to her mistress. That was why she hadn't taken her eyes off him since she and the queen had entered. Yes, that was it. She forced herself to look away and observe the other guests but they were only soldiers and that female. Surely General Darkfang would keep them in line. Still she had to be ready for any possibility.
The queen grinned at her general almost wide enough to show off her two new gold teeth but her teachers had been thorough and she maintained her regal air. She turned her gaze to Callista. "I'm very glad you like it. And I think you will also approve of the desert I've prepared - had prepared. I asked them to prepare it especially in your honor." She stumbled over the words and shot a worried glance at Drask.
((Hey when's Trug coming in? Now might be a good time to rescue the moment))

Truglim rushed through the hallway, heading toward the dining room as quickly as possible, hoping he wouldn't be too late for the feast Moll set up. He was dressed in the same pirate clothing he always wore, for he had nothing else to wear. The stoat wished he had something cleaner to wear to this feast.
Truglim charged to the door of the dining room, but he was stopped by Geoffry, "Sir, if you'll wait here, I'll introduce you to the rest." The servant turned and entered the room, leaving Truglim alone there. "Excuse me, Queen Moll, how has your day been going?"

Callista could not help another soft smile "In my honor? Oh you shouldn't have! I mean. You didn't have to!" This Moll creature was a kindly and friendly creature indeed! Great slaves, great cooks, good soldiers, big palace and has manners to boot. This was way better than anything she could find in Mossflower Woods.
Someone was not far behind Truglim. In fact. He had already started his entrance inside the palace. Corsair, Ex-soldier and Ex-Knight. Mako had heard of the appearance of a pure ferret by the name of Callista from a fat mouthed pirate in the traverans and the second he had heard the news, he had silently ditched his recent captain and his crew and marched right into the palace to meet Callista. He knew her name well. Mainly due to the fact he had met her when she was a child. Such a cute child she was. Does she look just as pretty now as she did in the past? He wondered. The Half Breed had his curved sword, his mace and chain and his long dagger at his side. He was not going to expect too much resistance from the palace guard. Unlike them. He was a true weapons beast. A true killer still in his prime. He was going to make it to that dinning room, and nothing was going to stop him from doing so.
His corsair days are now over. If a member of the Royal Family was still alive. Than he was coming out of retirement and back in his place as a knight. A elite who protects and takes orders from the Royal Family and only them. Who destroys and demolishes they're enemies. A beast that is feared by all and fears no beast at all....

Moll was still looking around a bit nervously when the servant approached her. "It's been great, Geoffry. Why do you ask? Is that about to change?"
In the shadows of the hallway the squirrelmaid nudged the slave next to her and pointed at Truglim, who was waiting at the door. The mousemaid threw her paws over her mouth to stifle a nervous giggle.

Geoffry kept a straight face as he opened the door for Truglim. "Well then, down your day goes!" The servant gestured for the half-breed to enter, and he stepped aside.
Truglim entered on the sarcastic note of Geoffry, walking cautiously into the dining room. He felt immediately out of place when he saw how different all the other beasts looked compared to him. Though the majority dressed simply, they still looked cleaner and better dressed than he did. Truglim stood silently waiting to see what exactly he was supposed to do, but he didn't stand long and the stoat grabbed the nearest chair and sat down. That was quite an entrance, he thought.

Callista watched the half breed come in. When it came to half breed creatures, she never minded them much. She had always treated them like any other beast. In fact in the Royal Family army. A lot of it's soldiers were half breeds. Made them slightly stronger, faster and more immune to sickness than the more pure species. So to her. Half breeds were very useful creatures to have on your side.
Krauser was not paying any attention to they're new visitor. He was much too busy eating flesh and bone and drinking wine.
Mako was not far behind Truglim and unlike him. This half breed had a more powerful air about him. A very fearsome and commanding air about him. He had a sturdy, yet quick walk on him to get to the dinning room doors. Noticing the servant Geoffry. He made his own presence known. "Step aside. I have very important business with a certain ferret."

The queen's entire countenance changed when the simple pirate entered the room. Gone was all of the nervous tension and a smile spread over her features. It was as if she had forgotten that any other creature was present. "Trug!" She started to stand and greet him but felt a paw on her shoulder.
"Mistress, creatures rise to honor you not the other way around," Larka whispered and waited to make sure that Moll understood her before she stepped back to her place.
Moll nodded slightly and looked around at the other creatures feeling a blush rising under her fur. But she'd been told that a monarch did not apologize for such things. Instead she looked back at Truglim. "We're very glad you could make it," she said regally but the warmth in her eyes revealed that she was the one who was really glad of his presence.
Larka and the monitor guard on the other side of the queen noticed the disturbance at the door and as one stepped forward on either side of Moll's seat, taking a more defensive stance than they had adopted previously.

The Admiral of the Queen's Navy calmly walked into the room. He cut an imposing figure, with his white uniform jacket with its gold cord looped at the shoulder shone in the light. His flasher swung at his side, gleaming from its polish. The crimson bars that showed his rank stood out on the white uniform shirt and the silver buttons holding the epaulets in place gleamed impressively. "I apologize for my lateness, Your Majesty. My ship hit a bit of bad weather on the trip in and I was delayed." he said as he bowed formally.

Geoffry stood aside as Mako made his way to the door, "Of course sir. Anything else you need?" His voice carried sarcasm as the stoat servant turned away and made his way back to the kitchen, with his head held high and the proud look still about him.
Drask grimaced as he saw his chief rival, Walon Vau, enter the dining room. The admiral went all out with his uniform while the general dressed simply, perhaps he should have worn his proper clothing to the feast, but it was to late for that now. Drask sipped his wine while keeping his eyes away from Walon, for he had no desire to acknowledge his rival. Even though the general had a grudging respect for the other ferret, there was no friendly exchange of greetings between them. Instead, Drask coldly ignored both the new arrivals to the feast.
Truglim smiled warmly at Moll, "It's a pleasure to be here, Your Majesty." His first thought was to call her Moll just as he always did, but this particular situation required him to show great respect to his "superiors," if they could truly be called that. Truglim looked down the table at all the food that the other beasts were eating, and the pirate wondered if that servant would return with a plate for him as well. Hopefully soon, he thought, as he licked his lips.

Mako's words caught the stoat before he make it to the kitchen and dispite his sarcasm, did not speak in a mean tone at the survant. "Nay. That will be all." The half breed opened the dinning room door. In full view of everyone. Holding both doors open and serious eyes scanning the dinner. He spotted Callista and pointed a claw at her. "Excuse me. I must speak with this ferret. It is of a bit of importance that it shall be now and not later."
Callista was surprised at a claw being pointed at her. She was even more surprised at the creature who did so. For some odd reason. She swore she knew this creature. Or at least. From her childhood....
Krauser was looking at the half breed. He too could swear he remembered him. At lest maybe during his times as a soldier in the Far East Jungle Wars. Though of course he was with plenty of creature in his time in war and many of them died. Plus this beasts looked like a corsair. Not a soldier....

Moll, who was now feeling much more confident, was just about to great her Admiral when the next beast entered. Her paw went instinctively to the sash where her dagger was hidden. She didn't exactly feel threatened herself but she was glad that her guards were standing beside her. She found, instead that she was very aggravated that this beast was threatening her guests and that he had gotten through her outer security. She realized then that she hadn't told them specifically how many beasts were coming or who they would be because she hadn't known herself. Of course they would have thought that this . . . half breed (she scolded herself for even thinking the term sending a quick apoligetic sideways glance at Truglim) was one of Drask's party and therefore welcome with all the others. She looked at Callista and asked the ferret, "Do you know this creature?" Her tone was not accusing but instead she wanted her new friend to know that she had an ally if she was in need.

Walon's hand went to the flasher's hilt and his eyes flashed dangerously as he moved to cut off the half-breed before he got too close to Moll. "Ye can speak from there. Move another step closer and I will consider yearmed, dangerous, and will proceed to deal with ye according to that label. In other words, come closer and I'll kill ye."

Drask noted the newest arrival with interest, just how many half-breed creatures are running around these days? The general was tempted to stand up along side Walon, but the other ferret had the situation under control, for now. He locked eyes with the half-breed and spoke up, "I would heed the Admiral's advise, he means business." If Walon needed help keeping the peace, Drask wouldn't hesitate to draw his blade as well, though he doubted it would come to that.
Zahn turned his head to look at the half-breed, and rested his paw on his sword, ready to jump into action to prove himself loyal to Drask and Queen Moll. The short fox hoped it would result in a fight, because this was an obvious path to advancement should he help out the Admiral and General defend Moll.

Mako put a paw on the handle of a wicked hybrid of a morning star and mace and chain. The thing had a nearly two-handed long handle with a spike at one end and a slightly longer chain on the other end, and finally. It had this big steel ball with long spikes sticking out all over it. It was one of the main weapons used by the Royal family army.
The half breed locked Walon with a serious glare. "Know what this is? It's a weapon we soldiers and knights of the Royal Family army used. We called it the "Goodnight Star." If you know whats good for you. You'll keep that paw off that hilt. Because if YOU take a step near me with that blade. I'll put you to sleep. Your just apparently a corsair with a "promotion." Not a real soldier with a backbone."
Once he had made his point at the ferret. He half turned his attention to Moll. " No. She may not. I was in my 20's when i met her and by that time she was no more than a child. Her and her brothers. I knew her father and mother though. I should. I served them..."
Callista was almost at a lost for words. She could slightly remember him, but not too well. She could only speak the truth to Moll. The tone was nervous and a tad shy for a second. "I think so...."
Krauser was the one who would end up remembering him a second after his question was answered. It was a wild shot to him really. "Whats your name Half Breed?" Krauser didn't know the name of every soldier in the Royal Family Army, but he did know most of the titles of the Knights that fought in both Desert and Jungle War.
The Stoat/Weasel's reply. Vincent Richmond. Suddenly paved a whole new ball game when Krauser replied. "I know you." and rested a paw on his own sword hilt, but he was not looking at Mako. He was looking at Drask. He spoke to him in as low a voice as he could and for the first time in his life. Said it with a word Drask he never once gotten from the stoat. "Please don't do it Drask. Not worth a fight with him. Besides. If you attack, than by a oath of royal honor I'll have to defend him as he is the only superior left other than Callista to command me..."
Any NORMAL soldier would be easy to deal with... Krauser was not a normal soldier... Which is bad. Because Krauser was dangerous, Krauser leaves no beast alive, Krauser is the type of beasts who just might have the Bloodwraith or something... That's the last type of beast you want to have a fight with. Even with three other beasts at your side.

Walon's eyes narrowed dangerous and he still didn't take his paw off his hilt. He knew that of corsairs, he was among the most honorable, by quite a considerable bit. He didn't believe in attacking unarmed opponents, killing without need, burning village or crops, Nothing mattered more to him than protecting his Queen. His entire crew had mutinied against him and he'd been the only one to stay loyal to the Queen. He'd even taught here how to handle a scimitar. "I'm not just a corsair with a promotion. I am a loyal soldier of the Queen. Don't assume that my uniform means weakness. I would gladly fight and die for her."
