"Describing things like that is also impolite. Besides--if I had dropped into their camp like that..without you two around..I might have been able to swindle them out of the treasure." Frankly she just didn't like being treated like a child. It wasn't as if she had never been in danger before, but everyone took her gender and age as a reason to treat her like a spoiled idiot. "Decaptitaion is preferable to a infected gut wound though...: Not that she planned on having either in the near future.
The squirrel kept uop with the chatter until the Vole's camp came into view. The seonc id did her head lifted, ad her pouting lips formed into a angelic smile. "Yohoo! We have your treasure--Arr..me and my mateys grabbed it like some outlndish land pirates! ARR" Oh dear god...this was going a little too far even for her.
(xD Sorry it's short...busy..busy me.)

"Oh my..." Simon said. As he recalled, he did receive help from the belligerent squirrel, and the strange maiden. He ran ahead of them and stopped in his tracks in front of the mole who had requested his help. "Burr aye! Thankee, zur!" the mole said.
"Ah, it was nothing, really..." Simon answered. "I had help -" he indicated the two squirrels squabbling nearby. 'Goodness, can't these two just get along?!' he thought.
He handed the mole the two pieces of treasure: the silver hammer and the gold medallion.

"Soiltail! Why didn't you tell me that something had been stolen from you, eh?" asked Kal, astonished. He had known the family of moles for a long time. They even had dinner together occasionally. Kal was quite suprised that they hadn't told him about the trouble.

Simon handed the heirlooms to the mole family, "I hope they aren't scratched or anything. We did the best we could. But I must say, Kal here is quite the warrior." He turned to Kal, "Thank you for accompanying me. I'm glad you were around."
Hopefully Simon could find a more fulfilling hunt to pursue. These trinket-finding missions were getting to be quite old. He would ask Kal or Cinna if they knew of anything that may lead him to greater adventures. But that would wait until they were in private.
