Every time we decide to make a new character to control, do we have to make profiles for them?

Yes. If it's not going to be an NPC'd character than it has to have a profile.

NPC means Non Player Character. It's a term used mostly in Mass Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGS) such as Everquest, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft, or Lord of the Rings Online. It's basically a character who's there, but not really an actual character. That's about the best I can do to explain it.

They're usually played by the computer. There was a funny part in .Hack where the NPC shopkeepers got hacked and started attacking the main characters.
