Appearance:
Age: 29
Species: badger
Gender: Female
Allegiance: Good
Appearance:
Lois is a large powerful female badger but her brown eyes are very kind. Her black and white fur is soft and well groomed but her paws are rough from working with clay on her potter's wheel and she often has clay under her claws. This makes it hard to scold dibbuns about washing before meals. She wares a plain brown smock and a medallion which hangs on a leather thong around her neck. She also has a small scar behind her left ear in the shape of a leaf.Belongings:
A badger sized potters wheel that would be too large for most other woodlanders to even spin. The medallion that is the mark of her family.Job or Position:
badger mother of RedwallPersonality:
Lois is warm and kind and greatly loves dibbuns. She was broken hearted when a healer told her that she would never be able to have young of her own so she made a vow to treat any young ones she came in contact with as if they were her own. She doesn't like fighting or violence but is fiercely protective of those she loves and could be driven to bloodwrath if their safety was threatened.History and Background Information:
Lois lived quite happily with her family in the mountains for as long as she could remember until her brother (several years younger than herself). Reached the age when he could challenge her father's authority. It's been said that two male badgers could never live long in the same place and this was true of Lois's father and brother. There were great battles between the two some in which she and her mother were accidentally injured when they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. (hence the scar behind her ear) She never wished to leave her mother but she reached the point where she could not stand the fighting any longer. Her travels have taken her south from the mountains to a place she had only heard of in old stories, Brockhall. Along the way she has found two orphan dibbuns a mole scarcely a year old who's just beginning to talk who she calls, 'Diggory' and a hedgehog maid of three years called 'Damson'.Any other details:
After being at Brockhall for only a few weeks a dibbun from Redwall Abbey got lost in the woods and wandered onto her doorstep. She brought him back to the Abbey and Martin spoke to her in a vision and told her she needed to stay.
