The Pine Marten is tall, and is of strong build, with plenty of muscle, after continuous training. He has dark eyes, darker than brown, but a bit lighter than black. Alex has scars from a few battles he found himself in, mainly in a battle to establish a garrison at the island of Akkladia, and in several missions to Mossflower Wood. He wears Drask's colors, the crimson red battle armor with black highlights. To indicate his rank of major, there is is a golden bar on the left portion of the chest of that armor, with two emeralds on it, a symbol of his moderate wealth.

Belongings:

Alexander owns a saber that he received from his father, as well as a moderate amount of money from his loyal service in Sampetra's army. He owns little else save for the furnishings in his room in the palace, and the clothes on his back.

Major in Drask Darkfang's army.

Personality:

Alex is a calm leader of other beasts, filling the role of the general whenever he isn't available to give orders. He takes after his father in his mild temper, being a reserved beast as well, speaking only when it's required of him, for the most part. The Pine Marten is among the more intelligent beasts enlisted in Drask's army, and he is a critical asset to the army for that reason, as well as being a good strategist. Following orders given to him exactly to the dot also makes him an excellent second in command. There isn't much that scares the brave major, except two things; the flesh eating monitors on Sampetra, and spending an extended period of time at sea. Besides those two things, the major is a courageous beast, a fitting second in command for Drask Darkfang.

History and Background Information:

Alexander was born on the cold island of Riftgard, to a father who was an adviser to the current ruler there; Drask's father. His mother was unknown to him, because she dumped him off on his father right after he was born, then left the island, not wanting to be forced to raise a son, or remain on the cold island. For the most part, his father showed no interest in his son, only making sure he was well educated as he grew up. Something changed in his father's attitude when Alex was older, and the adviser started to focus on teaching his son everything he knew, from how to speak like a gentlebeast to how to wield a saber effectively.

When he was sixteen, his father gave him the choice to either leave, or remain at Riftgard. He chose the first option, and quickly set out on his own, on a ship to Sampetra. There he enlisted in the smallish army, and he was quickly promoted to Captain, because of his leadership skills. His luck continued to improve when the government was turned upside down by the take over by Drask and Teague. Alex was one of the few beasts that earned the trust of the new general, and he was again promoted, to the rank of Major. His skills were put to use by Drask once the general set sail for Mossflower, in hopes of starting an army, and he left Alex in charge of the current, small army of Sampetra. He earned the respect of most of the beasts in the army with his calm leadership, and it did not go unnoticed by the general, and he is currently considering making Alexander a colonel, the official second highest rank in the army.
