The frigid air and gray skies seemed to keep time at bay with their mysterious and entrancing effects. The cold air showed signs of impending snow. It would not be long...
Luminor Duskfang felt right at home in the cold setting around Mossflower Country. One thing was very different, though: there weren't a group of bloodthirsty vermin trying to kill him. Luminor had never actually met a goodbeast, let alone anybeast that wasn't evil or half-evil. He felt strange in these lands, as though he was a false representation of the lands far west in which he came from. Luminor was certainly not evil, and he hoped no beast would mistaken him for being evil.
Duskfang had not met up with anybeast since he had arrived here in the golden lands of Mossflower, or any signs of civilization. He saw a giant mountain that looked like a volcano, but he figured no beast lived there. After a couple days or exploring, Luminor had found an old path in the woods. He would take it...

Hobbes was annoyed at how fast he had been left by his crew. Hobbie must've come up and done something real nasty that night thought Hobbes. Alcohol does that to most beasts, distort everything about and around you. He must've taken advantage of the situation. He was lucky to find a path, one that headed to the shore and the Redemption, or so he hoped.
She screamed a lot. thought Hobbie. I like when they scream. It makes me feel nice inside. Hobbie, though amused, was not happy. He thought he didn't make her fear him enough. He thought he was too lenient. Then again, I was kinda drunk. I dont usually do that.
Hobbes followed the path, fiddling with his pendant and occasionally his breastplate, showing many signs of boredom and confusion. He could not smell his home, and the hangover was just beginning to wear off.

The fox had known the black cat was traveling the path for a while now. From his experience in the western lands Luminor knew cats were fierce fighters; unfortunately, every cat he knew was evil. And a lot of them were dead. He didn't see any point in hiding in the woods around him: though he could conceal himself very well, cats had a reputation of being very perceptive. Even so, he would only hide when a possible battle looked too hard to fight. Only one creature... he thought.
Luminor continued down the path until he knew the cat could see him. Then, he lowered his head and cautiously proceeded towards the cat, gauging his worth as an opponent. Looks could be deceiving, though. He was ready for anything.

Hobbes looked to see Luminor coming towards him. He smiled and waved to the fox. "Hello, Mr. Fox! How are you this fine day?". Hobbie however was really tempted to take over and fight the fox, but he knew with the hangover he might not fight as well as he could usually. So he receded back into the mind. Hobbes smiled even brighter when he did.

Luminor was taken aback. This was the first time he ever saw a vermin smile with genuine friendliness. Was this a goodbeast? Were things different here in Mossflower than they were back in the western lands? He was surprised, but he wasn't about to start taking chances. He responded to the friendly cat, "I'm doing alright. How about yourself?"
He hands were nowhere near the hilt of his claymore, but they would be in an instant if danger showed its face. He didn't doubt that the cat might be quicker than him, as it probably was, but he was ready for it. Range was just as important as speed, maybe even more. And Luminor was a nightmare to fight against.

Hobbes' eyes quickly examined Luminor as he replied, "Im doing pretty well, thanks." He looked out for any signs of fight in this person, it becoming almost natural for him to do at meetings of any sort. "What brings you out here in Mossflower in a day such as this?"
Hobbie and Hobbes discussed the fox in their mind, Hobbie paying more attention to his movement and aggression while Hobbes watched his personality. It was a teamwork that both abhored to mention they needed, but they use it very often.

Luminor finally lightened up. It took some effort, but he calmed himself down. He was still alert, but he wouldn't invite a fight with this creature. "I'm just passing by. I rather enjoy the cold, though. This is my first time in Mosslfower country, you know? So, what's your name?" Luminor appealed. He didn't let his guard completely down, but he wanted to relax. He hoped trouble didn't lurk in the other creature's intentions. Hopefully, he wouldn't always have to look over his shoulder in Mossflower, though he would anyway.

Hobbes plucked a straw from the ground, twirled it in his fingers, and answered, "I'm Hobbes. People call me Eclipse, though. What's yours?"
Hobbie was tempted to run the fox through, yet again, but still could not bring himself to do it. Im too lazy. thought he.
Hobbes continue walking forward, slowing his pace to match Luminor.

Luminor was slightly hesitant to give his name out, but he decided there wouldn't be any harm in it. "My name is Luminor Duskfang, and I hail from the far west. The vermin I came here with are dead." He kept his eyes looking straight into Hobbes'. "Where are you from?"
The gray clouds still seemed to keep the land waiting. Snow was not to be seen yet. But it would not be long...

Hobbes shrugged. "Not around here, thats for sure. I'm a captain of a ship, the Redemption." said he, expecting a reaction of either good or bad intention from him. Usually he saying he was a ship captain got a response, even from children. And it was that response that gave Hobbes an idea of the person.
Hobbie was more curious about the vermin's deaths. If he could just catch Hobbes off guard, he could take over the body and ask.

"Hmmm... A captain," Luminor thought. He wasn't going to be needing a ship anytime soon. He was in Mossflower, hopefully to stay. He knew dozens of ship captains back in his homeland, so this might not be anything new. But there was definitely something strange about this cat. He seemed... well, Luminor couldn't put his finger on it, but there was certainly more to this creature than met the eye. "The Redemption, eh?" Luminor responded. He kept his voice and emotions in check. He displayed nothing but acknowledgment. Redemption was what he'd come to these lands seeking. A new life... a new beginning.

Thia being the little hearted girl she was went out and went looking for some herbs. She couldn't find anywhere she was soo she flew way out of her way deep further into the forest. she found some herbs and landed and using her beak she got some of the herbs but needed some other but heard voices and hopped there and flew into a tree after putting the herbs away. "hm... interesting. but what is a cat and a fox doing here together?" she thought and chirped a little bit.
