This is the thread for talking about things in a civilized manner.
Before I enter the civilized realm, I would like to point this out....
FALCON PUAAWNCH!!!!!!!!!!
Now, I'll bring up a point to discuss. School is coming. Tomorrow. For me, this means that I'll be trudging through boring day after mundane day. This will only last for several months, as I'm a senior, and highschool is almost over... But alas, it's here. The black hole of nothingness is about to take me by storm. Let's discuss.

Oh yeah? well I'm teaching a Kindergartner, a 3rd grader, and potty training a two year old while taking care of a 4 month old and making bread and lasagna for supper. beat that.

I have only had four good nights of sleep since last AUGUST. Anyway, this is the discussion thread, not the bragging about how hard things are thread... This may cheer you up a bit and hopefully will give you confidence: A year from now, you'll be able to look back at all this and talk about about how it ended. Every good thing must come to an end. The other side of that coin is every hard thing must come to an end.

Let tomorrow worry about itself. In around five months, you'll be enjoying summer break. Basically, when it comes right down to it, the only thing that really determines one's mood is their attitude.
Besides, I wasn't necessarily talking about you graduating, I was talking about getting through with what you're going through right now. Time passes; that means what happening right now will pass. Enjoy the good things to the best of your ability, and get through the bad things as best you can.

Before I say anything else, I just have to brag!
-Material Science -Circuit Analysis -Linear Algebra (not what you think ;D) -Thermo Engineering -Living, paying the bills, etc. -Trying to sell a short story (and hopefully many more)
(Of course Cara, I'm sure teaching and taking care of a family is probably on a different level entirely)
But hopefully this semester should be more interesting than last. Especially since I'll be taking Dr. Wimberly again who is an Aerospace Engineer to the core. I'll have to think of some good aeronautical and dynamics questions to ask him after class.

Thank you ConfuciusDan for your wise words and Sam I think my 7 year old would like to be an Aerospace Engineer. He's absolutely crazy about stars and planets, knows all the names of the moons and the relative sizes and distances and his daddy is teaching him physics and computer programing. He has actually told us that he wants to program Mars rovers when he grows up.

Hahaha! That's not a bad outlook, Kiba. Take it one step at a time, right?
Sounds like an aerospace engineer to me, or at least an electrical engineer. Of course what aerospace engineers mainly deal with is flight (airplanes, helicopters, rockets, satellites, shuttles, and even hovercraft sometimes!). I suppose you could call us flight engineers. Of course we also do a lot of control systems which would have a lot to do with programming a rover.
He's sure getting a head start at 7. He's already learning physics? You mean like really conceptual stuff or actual calculations? I used to love the Science Place with all the interesting physics phenomena they show. And programming? wow. I wish I'd started on that stuff that early.
What are his favorite toys? I used to love Legos (and still do when I get the chance ;D)

Caspi loves legos. we actually just got a lego education catalog in the mail today. You can make robots and models of cells and all kind of cool stuff. My hubby is actually writing his science curriculum as they go along. So far this school year they've been talking about the metric system so the do experiments to illustrate each of the units of measurement. They've done distance and mass and acceleration and now they're learning about force and vectors. This is totally not my area. I was writing a novel during my senior year and I had a friend in my physics class who would do my homework for me if I would let her read each new chapter as i finished it.

You're all a step ahead of me. I'm still trying to find out what I want to do in College... and life. Careers are like the most confusing things for me. School? No problem. Making good grades? No problem. Careers and big decisions? BIG PROBLEM. Let's see, I went from:
1. Business Management 2. Coast Guard 3. Education 3. Finance 4. Business Management again 5. International Business/Language 6. Back to Business Management And now? I have no idea what to do. Shoot, maybe I should join the Marines.

If you do, I will find you and punch you. You can do a lot more good for this country in a college degree requiring job. Oh, and along the lines of bragging... These are the classes I was taking in 8th grade, nine years ago. Senior level Chemistry (Yeah, prodigous, I know ) Algebra 2 High School History What did they call Sophomore Language Arts... I dun't remember. Gym That was for the first month, before they made me a Sophomore. Yep, skipped Freshman year. And I graduated at the end of first Semester of Senior year. Calculus... I then went to college, and Majored in Paleobiology (Master's Degree), and had an Accociates in Theroretical Physics. Nope, don't remember anything besides the Paleobiology, and I was never able to get a job in that career line, so meh... In case you're wondering how I payed for that, that's what happened to my powerball win. Wasn't the jackpot, but oh well. I also skipped 3rd grade. Went to a state spelling bee, won but was struck with pneumonia, and couldn't go to the National. Yeah, I was some kind of crazy nerd. And I didn't go on my first date 'till I was 18. Namely because I couldn't hold a 10 second conversation with anyone. They couldn't understand my vocabulary.
