Thia shrugged, "I don't know actually, planning on moving north away from the storm. Why may i ask?" She was just to anxious to get away from the storm and a little worried about the squirrel on his own when she took off and just flapped in the air. "i'm sorry silas but maybe we'll run into each other again soon enough but for now i must go." Without waiting for a reply she took off and went northward.

Toriphess scowled as he made his way through the undergrowth of the forest. His ship, lost; his sister, disappeared. He was leaning towards unkind thoughts to his kin, and was making up his own mind about what had happened. Regardless, he was a pirate minus crew, vessel, and partner. That was making him ticked, and the large, gray otter practically stomped his way through the forest. As he did so, he ended up tripping on a particularly knotted root, and he fell flat on his face, his nose digging into the loam. In a flash, he was on his feet, and the blade of his scythe was buried in the tree trunk. He snarled at it, and then stopped.
That one action seemed to have released most of his anger, so the otter slumped down on the tree, his golden eyes assessing the boughs above him. He was grounded, and there was no changing that fact. He had no idea how long it would be before he either found Swiftraider again, or found another ship and crew. His hopes weren't high, however. If the former, he'd never find it. And he wouldn't be able to get it back anyway. Most of his crew were loyal to Tori, and if she'd mutinied against him, he'd find no ground with which to regain his Captaincy. If the latter, his hopes were no better. Not very many empty ships go around, and he'd rather not be a part of the crew. Besides, what smart corsair accepted an unknown otter onto his ship?
Slowly, without him being aware of it, he drifted into a short sleep. His dreams were filled with his laughing, derisive crew, and him being re-shackled to an oar. He heard the slave next to him fall with a soft thump, and he woke with a start. Wait...that thump was a real sound. He slowly got up, and tried to listen again. The otter wasn't able to discern much, but he managed to get a sound of feathers. He plastered himself to his tree, and then looked around. What he saw was a squirrel, and the creature was talking to a falcon perched on a branch. He couldn't quite hear them, so he took a step closer as the bird flew away. He wasn't, however, experienced in woodland travel, so as he set his paw down, he stepped on a twig with an audible crack.

Thia heard a noise just before she took off and flew down a little ways but not close to the forest floor to see where it came from, when she looked she couldn't see anythings and flew away from there back to her nest and picked up her stuff and flies northward. "sheesh why am i hearing things again" she thought outloud. "i wish i knew the answer to that." she thought and then sighed wishing for something to happen once again.

As Thia took to the skies, Silas' ears caught the sound of a twig snapping off to his left, causing his ears to spring up. He heard the sound more clearly than Thia, and therefore was more aware of the danger it might hold. The squirrel glanced in the direction of the noise, shifting on his paws and keeping his bow at the ready. In truth he never thought he would use his bow to harm another beast. Mossflower woods had been quite peaceful for a good number of seasons, even between the clans and tribes of woodlanders.
His blue eyes tried to see through the trees, catching a glimpse of a beast in the early morning light, standing in the shadow of another big oak behind them. "Hello?" He called out, shielding his eyes from the rising sun.

Toriphess froze as the snapping of the stick caused the squirrel to look around. The former corsair didn't trust his chances with the bow the other beast was toting around. Whether or not the squirrel was good with it was inconsequential. The beast had more range than he did, even with his scythe. Which was, currently, dug deep in the tree. He grimaced at his fate. An archer squirrel piled on top of his expulsion from his ship. His paw wrapped around the coiled steel of the scythe's pole as he contemplated what to do.
Well. He was an otter. Few creatures expected an otter to be a former pirate. In fact, his species was considered, one and all, to be good. He might just get past this day unscathed. So, leaving behind his scythe, he stepped out of the shadows. He tilted his head to le left, as if assessing Silas, and then nodded. "Good Day to you..." His golden eyes didn't waver from the squirrel, and he folded his paws across his chest.

Thia really wanted to turn back but didn't cause of the storm that is blowing in and wanted to get a way from it. "Why am I soo scared for the storm, i've been through worse." she thought, then decides to turn around and head back and sees silas talking to another creature being an...... otter. "An otter? that's odd i haven't seen one of them in a long while." She thought to herself.

Silas observed the otter at a distance, adopting a less threatening stance, with the bow held in his left paw. Before replying to him, though, the squirrel hesitated as Thia returned to him. In his many travels, Silas became aware of a certain tension between the woodlander tribes and settlements, divided by species and pride. He felt none of this in the otter's words, so he nodded and replied, "To you as well." His own blue eyes met the inquisitive gold of the otter's, feeling a certain unease despite himself.

Thia landed again right by silas and looks at the otter also. "i wonder." she though. "hey little water creature otter, why are you out in unsafe terroritory?" she yelled.
Poseidon was walking around trying to remember where he was going when he realized he got lost. When he heard some noise and looked up and saw a falcon turning around he followed the bird til he saw another of his kind and hid. He heard that falcon talking to the otter curious to know some what about his kind. ((he's gonna talk in italics))

Toriphess kept his unwavering gold eyes on the squirrel. "What brings you in these woods, friend?" He asked. Although he looked at the squirrel, he was assessing the territory, and looking for a way out. As soon as he could split, he would. He had no intention of staying to chat with some innocent woodlander. He felt rage at them, drowning in their ignorance while creatures destroyed each other's lives. They would even go as far as to turn a blind eye, while other innocents were forced into slavery. Without entirely meaning to, he clenched his paws.
Before he could say anything more, the falcon had come back to the squirrel's side. He shifted his cold gaze on the bird as she spoke, and he replied. "I can defend my self quite ably, miss Falcon. I fear no danger." Which was, indeed quite true. He was ruthless enough to destroy any creature that dared to impeed him, and cunning enough to accomplish it. For now, though, he hadn't encountered anything in the woods, so he wasn't entirely sure what would happen. The squirrel and the falcon were the only creatures he had encountered since losing his ship.

Thia raised an eyebrow at the otter and shrugs a bit. "You otters were always weird and always were cocky but i guess i can see it since you wear a dagger but becareful around here." she warned the otter.
Poseidon raised an eyebrow at the same time as the falcon and comes out of hiding and stands right by the other otter. "Well this is interesting, i get lost then i see another of my kind then a squirrel and a falcon, well actually i saw the falcon first then the otter and squirrel or is it the other away around? i get soo confused."

The squirrel glanced back at Thia after she landed, hearing her reply to the otter. He shifted about as she issued a warning to the beast, trying to avoid gripping his bow in an aggressive manner. He could see that this otter did not speak idly of his fearlessness, and while he was really supposed to be a warrior himself, Silas could not fight him. Up to this point, the otter had done nothing wrong...
But then why am I nervous?
He silently asked himself, moments before the appearance of another otter. The squirrel merely nodded at him from where he stood, before giving a cautionary glance with his blue eyes back towards Thia.

Thia being the falcon could feel silas' his nervousness and turned to him then realized she really needed to be cautious aobut this first otter. She giggled at the second otter cause he was funny. "really cute i guess but otters this isn't a playground here i guess." she said.
Poseidon raised an eyebrow at the falcon and squirrel and noticed the look on the squirrel and goes to the side of his kind to get a closer look. "sooooo what are you guys' names?" he asked like he knew he should. He realized everyone is really ignoring him cause of something going on and he crosses his arms over his chest.

Toriphess couldn't believe what was happening. There was the falcon chastising him, and then this idiot of an otter coming in. The squirrel, however, seemed to be nervous. As he should, but that's not what the ex-corsair really needed. The more nervous one of them got, the less likely that he would get out of there unharmed. And get out of there, he would. He couldn't stay in the gaggle of moronic innocents without going completely mad. He still remembered those who turned their backs on Swordfang's pirate ship as it prowled. It traveled for a long time, and yet few beasts dared halt the ship. And he even remembered seeing some of them, hiding from the captain and his crew.
"Be careful? Not a playground? What do you take me for?!" Toriphess scowled at the falcon. Even he had a line. He was normally quiet and calm, but this stupid bird was tossing him over the edge. He ignored Poseidon and turned his back on them for a moment, before ripping his scythe from the tree. Holding the scythe with it's blade pointing to the ground, he looked over his shoulder at Thia. "See this? I personally killed it's previous owner. I watched the stoat die in front of me." He clenched his teeth. "Do you get it now?!"

Thia's eyes widened seeing that sword of the otter's. "W-where did you get that? H-how could you kill that stout? I've never seen an otter soo ruthless before." Thia said a little nervous. Thia heard about the pirates in the waters but never met one before other than one that stole from her mom that she attacked ending up getting a scar from. She lifted her wing with the scar on it and showed the otter the scar. "you otter, that weapon of yours gave me a scar a long time ago." Thia said sadly.
Poseidon feeling like a dufus just standing there looking at the other otter. "Ok first off what are your names first before i go insane." Poseidon said getting impatient. he then looked at the falcon a little worried and feeling sorry for her and goes and leans against the tree.

Silas, though feeling quite ready to back away, stood his ground from the scythe-wielding otter, holding his open paws towards him. "Hey, take it easy. Nobody has to get hurt here over a few words." His blue eyes took on a cool quality about them as he focused on Toriphess, his bow returned to his back. An ear flicked as he heard the other otter speak up, and for a swift moment his eyes darted towards him, seeing no weapon or similar threat of attack.
And I thought the storm would be in the sky...
