Allegiance: Evil
Appearance:
Age: 47
Species: Pure Ferret
Gender: Male
Allegiance: Evil
Appearance:
Stahl is slightly taller than the average ferret, and he is lean, with little fat on his body. Though he is beginning to feel the burdens of age, he is still a vigorous beast. Back in his younger days he was lithe and agile, two traits that have diminished, though still remain with him. Stahl has the classic appearance of Pure Ferrets, with snow white fur and pink eyes, just like the rest of the members of the Royal Families. His body bears battle scars from his service in Riftgard's army, unlike other Pure Ferrets.Belongings:
The clothes that he wears reflect simplicity and functionality, also differing from his fellow Pure Ferrets. He wears a gray tunic, and gray pants, with several pieces of armor; including an iron breast plate, which displays multiple medals from his military service. When he is not required to wear any armor, he still sticks to the gray and simple clothing, though he often wears a black cloak and still displays medals on his chest. Stahl always wears tall, black boots.
His fur is sometimes unkempt compared to others, since he often spends much time devoted to his work, blocking out all other things. For the most part he is well put together, and he can still fight quite well with a blade.
Stahl is a very wealthy beast, and he owns a well defended, but small island that is very close to Riftgard. His home isn't elaborate, like his clothing, but it is built to protect it's owner, and serves as a getaway from Riftgard whenever he finds himself bogged down with politics there.Job or Position:
He owns a finely made saber, a true rich beast's weapon. A blade that looks simple enough, but is every bit as dangerous as Stahl.
Spokesbeast of the Royal Families of Riftgard.Personality:
Jorhan is a well put together beast, not just in clothing but in his mind. He is mentally very quick, and an excellent battle planner, which translates into making him a skilled politician, which he thinks is just like war, but without the swords. Stahl is also well educated, and his speech is very smooth and persuasive, which makes him invaluable to Drask. Although he is refined, well educated, and intelligent, he also has a fiery temper. He is easily angered and he doesn't forget a grudge, unless it interferes with his plans.History and Background Information:
Morally, he doesn't have many morals. It doesn't matter who he steps on to achieve his goals, whether that involves killing his opposition, or betraying somebeast to advance. Outwardly, he reflects a persona of good morals and of peacefulness, but on the inside, he is hungry for power and has little love for his fellow vermin.
Jorhan Stahl was born and raised on the northwestern island of Riftgard, and he was born into one of the Royal Families there. The Stahl family was one of the oldest families there, and one of the most influential of them. Jorhan was raised to be the head of the Stahl family, he was taught to be ruthless toward his opposition and ambitious toward accomplishing his goals. His father was much like him, a very powerful beast and one of great anger, though that anger was rarely reflected toward his family.Any other details:
Jorhan's mother was the one who taught him to have an open mind to new ideas, to seize any opportunities for advancement, and to become well educated. He was taught to put the interests of his family before his own, however, so that they could remain powerful.
When he turned sixteen, he followed his father's advice and joined the army, so that he would be strong both mentally and physically. With his natural ambitiousness, Jorhan made rapid progress and was well known as a competent and creative officer. By the time he was twenty five, he was promoted to the rank of Major and fought in many battles to secure the islands close to Riftgard; including the island that would one day become his home.
At the age of thirty five he retired from service, as his father had handed over the control of the Stahl family's estate to him. After his father's death, he again made rapid progress, stepping on top of beasts to get to the top. Throughout his life, he never gave up time for a wife, though he had several mistresses over the years. He didn't want a family to take up his valuable time, instead the children of his younger brother would carry on the name of the Stahls, instead of any children he might have had.
When the struggle broke between Drask and Vrelt for the control of the throne, Jorhan immediately sided with Drask, for Drask was the rightful heir by blood. Stahl voiced his support for Drask and it was reflected by the other Royal Families, who did not want Vrelt as their leader. When Drask became the king, Jorhan became an important ally and adviser to him, and the two developed trust and a shared goal of eventually getting rid of the power of the Royal Families. They would take most of the power away from the rival Families, and give that power to the Darkfang family and the Stahls.
Jorhan became the spokesbeast of the Royal Families when he was forty three, which furthered his influence. As Drask grew in power, so did he. And the two of them had a mutual fear for the other, for once the Royal Families were gone, betrayal was possible. Stahl was ready for such betrayal, and he was prepared to betray his friend if their plans did not succeed.
Stahl is the Royal Families' spokesbeast, that means he represents their interests when speaking to Drask, and during diplomatic negotiations.
