Zahn was a short and lean looking fox, and the bosun aboard this large vessel. He scanned the masts again and allowed the crew to finish unfurling the sails. With a rapid march the well-disciplined fox officer made his way to Callista and Krauser, with his shoulders back and chest out, attempting to make himself look taller. "If you would, Madam, please follow me. You need to be over there instead of standing in the middle of the deck. Your friend is distracting the sailors." He looked up at Krauser and nearly shuddered, but kept control of himself.
Drask gestured down at Zahn and shook his head, mumbling to himself, "What is that buffoon doing now?" He stepped away from the helm and met Alexander half way across the vast deck, "Major, command the ship for a brief moment. I need to have a word with our "Royal" passengers." Alex smiled broadly, "Yes sir! Put 'em in their place, Drask!" Drask nodded to the pine marten and strode over to Callista, Krauser, and a disturbed looking Zahn. "Zahn, get back to work." The fox saluted and turned on his heel, marching swiftly off. "Callista," He begin with an irritated look on his face, "Please do you best to keep this, thing, from distracting my crews. It's bad enough with you distracting them."

Callista was not too impressed at the fox that approached her. She had seen better and much better trained. Although compared to the other beasts she had seen on this ship. He and Alexander were the best of the bunch she had seen yet. Hopefully much more impressive figures would show up with time and on her trip to Sampetra.
When Drask come up to her whining about Krauser. She was quick and smart with her tongue in the stoat's defence."Well he is simply my only soldier who is simply doing what i had commanded him too. Being to keep me safe and serve as a bodyguard for now. If he is scaring your crew. He is doing his job. Do not blame him for doing so. Blame your own crew for failing theirs and ignoring their jobs to stare at him, to allow themselves to be distracted."

"That's all very well, but this crew is not trained by Captain Walon Vau, or any of the other elite corsairs. It is merely a pirate crew that is being paid for their services. Only a few of the, what in the name of hellgates is that?" Drask broke off, spotting the huge dorsal fin of an even more massive shark, swimming straight at them! He stood paralyzed with fear as it swam closer and closer. The crew was dead silent, all of them were to afraid to do anything as well. Drask watched as the fin lowered in the water until it disappeared under the ship, only to surface seconds later on the other side, still swimming as if it had never seen the vessel. Alexander stumbled as he tried to walk away from the helm, his legs felt wobbly and the pine marten slipped to his knees, staring unblinkingly at Drask. "I want off of this crazy ocean!" He cursed out loud and stayed on the deck, not wanted to get back up again. Drask swallowed hard, and did not respond to Alex, only to nod in his direction.

Callista was stunned at the event she just saw. She bearly even believed she saw what she thought she saw. Because she had never seen a shark that monsterous in her entire life. Not even her entire family tree ever saw a beast that huge. No beast ever saw sharks the huge. Because they often don't come up to the surface like that and their gray or blueish top color made them near invisible to the naked eye in the ocean. Seeing a beast that huge ways a horrifying sight to see to even the bravest beast.
"Please tell me that was my imagination gone wild....... That thing is impossible! No shark has ever reached that kind of size! At lest there is not documented case of one reaching that size! It was big enough to swollow this ship!
Krauser didn't seemed too bothered by this event. Maybe it was because he was too messed up in his evil head to even care. He turned his head back and looked at a few pirates with a big wicked smile plastered on his face. "Kinda makes you wish you stayed as land lubbers huh? Hahahahahaha........"

The spectacle left everybeast staring off at the ocean were the massive shark just disappeared. Except for the steersbeast, a large, tough looking weasel, who did not wear the crimson uniforms that Drask's crew had on. He remained at the helm, seemingly unshaken by the event. "Well? What are ye all starin' at? Stop standin' 'round and git back to work!" The pirate's words galvanized the crew back to their various positions. All of the pirates looked like they had seen a ghost, but the shark was even worse than any ghost that could be on the ship.
"I hope that we reach Sampetra soon. The ocean suddenly does not seem as pleasant as it did two minutes ago." Drask turned away from Callista, forgetting the argument they were beginning, and spoke to Zahn, "That's not something you see everyday." He was very casual with the way he spoke, hiding how much he was shocked by the huge shark. Krauser's comment turned a few heads, but none of the pirates were brave enough to say something back the the crazed looking stoat, for the fear that they had for him was nearly as great as their fear of the shark.

Callista was now nowhere near as fond of staying on the sea as Alexander was. She wanted to make it to this island soon herself also. Otherwise she might go insane. She found it funny how she thought this. How Sharks can bring out such the worst fear in you that you would want to go insane or kill yourself. It's like a special genetic talent sharks have. She always wondered how they did that......
Callista walked back down inside the ship to make way for the cabin again. She had gotten more than she wanted. Much more than she even desired. Not only fresh air, but now something she didn't want to have. Nightmares about that giant shark.
Krauser was quick to follow closely behind. Once again keep close watch on his only chain of command over him left.

As Callista and Krauser went below, Drask decided the one crewbeast who didn't cringe in fear deserved a talking to. True courage was hard to find these days, especially among vermin. Drask returned to he helm and addressed the weasel. "What's your name, helmbeast?" The weasel replied immediately, "I'm called Renak, sir." Drask nodded, "Do you have any wish of enlisting with my crew?" Renak smiled, "Well, now that you mentioned it, I always thought one of them fancy red uniforms would look good on me, sir." Drask turned and strode off, calling over his shoulder to Renak, "Consider yourself a member of my crew. And you'll get of those uniforms once we arrive at Sampetra." With that, Renak turned his attention beck to his assignment, with a broad smile on his face. Who would have thought that a simple beast like himself would ever get such an invitation?
Drask was temped to follow Callista, but to keep face with the crew he remained on deck. Only for a while, however. He pointed to Zahn, "You, take command of the ship. I have unfinished business with Miss Callista. Major, come with me." Alexander obeyed, "Aye sir." As the two went below, some of the crew yelled out to the ferret and pine marten, "Aye keep 'em in line General!"

Inside Callista's cabin was a forest of notes, sketches and journal entries. Most of the notes were written by her. But the sketches and journal entries were by someone else, it was easy to tell because her paw writing was more fancy and nicely written compared to the ones made the other beast. Who's paw writing was more primitive or poorer class. As if the beast had nothing else to draw and write with.....
Callista had gotten the journal entries and sketches from a few pirates that were fighting for Huns Vermeer at the far south stream. Which of course she had to pay with currency of course. As you always had too with most vermin, but in this case to her it was worth paying for. She had found out a whole new world of information and knowledge about that New World that no other beast does.
The Journal Entries and Sketches of strange creatures had came from the only beast from the explorer team sent by Callista's father that had made it out of the New World alive..... Sadly though. He had died from a venomous bite soon after being picked up by a vermin pirate ship. The vermin had held these journals and sketches till the day Callista's encountered them soon after the Battle or the Far South Stream.
Callista and Krauser were studying a more in-depth map of the New World. Lest the only one that was inland and not drawn on a sea map. Of course like the entries, it was badly drawn and a little confusing at first, but now they were starting to get the locations and such.

While Callista and Krauser were studying the crude map of the New World, Drask and Alexander marched down the hall to the Pure Ferret's cabin. Alexander looked at Drask with a questioning expression. "What's this all about, Drask?" Drask shrugged his shoulders, "To tell the truth, I have no clue why I want to talk to her." He put stress on the word her, in an almost disgusted voice. Alexander smiled smugly, guessing exactly why the general wanted see Callista.
Drask and Alexander arrived at the door to Callista's cabin, and the general promptly knocked. He tried to formulate some reason for his visit to the Pure Ferret's cabin, and he came with a reasonable excuse; Drask thought they could discuss how they were to persuade Queen Moll to give him the help he needed in regard to sailing to the New World. That would work, at least to Drask; Alexander on the other hand figured that Drask was going to smoothly talk about something concerning they're upcoming voyage to the New World, while his real reason for coming was kept carefully veiled.

"Who is it?" Callista said when she heard the knock on her door. Not even bothering to turn around and walk over to open to door. It was not even locked anyway. So it was unnecessary to walk over there and unlock it for whomever may be there. Besides, she shouldn't have to anyway. Being a busy beast and all.
Krauser didn't do anything to go open the door. He was not commanded to so therefore, did not have to at all.
(Crappy and short. I'm running out of ways to make them longer am i? xD )

"Who do you think it is?" Drask spoke sarcastically, though he knew it could be any number of beasts knocking on Callista's door. Suddenly he pictured Krauser bursting through the door and attacking him and Alexander in some kind of crazed fury, he didn't know what had brought on that thought. Perhaps it was the way Krauser looked when he was on deck. The crazed looking beast was dangerous one way or the other. And Drask didn't want to be on the wrong side of an attack from him.
Alexander wasn't sure it was wise of Drask to speak sarcastically to Callista, because that Krauser probably wouldn't hesitate to tear the ferret apart if his master ordered him. He didn't believe Callista would, however. The Pure Ferret needed Drask to make it back to civilization, alive.
(LOL I'm having the same problem.)

Krauser himself also had a smartass comment of his own at that very moment. " Well unless your the damn cook bringing in lunch right now. You can stay out there till your legs turn numb, but i'll make ya a deal. If you get up on deck, stick a hook in your mouth and throw yourself overboard and catch that giant shark for me so i can have him for lunch. I'll think about letting ya in! How about that?"
Callista let out a loud sigh and turned "Door's unlocked. Come in, BUT NO FIGHTING IN HERE! there are a lot of important pieces of information in here and i don't want it ripped to tiny pieces! This is all the information we'll ever know of the New World for now!"
Krauser huffed. "Damn it."
Sometimes Callista just didn't understand why Krauser acted the way he does. Was it because he is just very traumatized? Or as it because he simply did it on purpose? Because he enjoyed ticking beasts off and trying to get them to go confront him so he could viciously slaughter them? Only one thing as for sure. She hoped he would not act like this in front of "queen" Moll.....

Alexander opened the door, feeling that he was the calmest of the two and needed to start whatever conversation on a polite note, so that Krauser wouldn't start the "mad rage" that he pictured in his mind. "Greetings Madam Callista and Krauser." Alexander bowed slightly in Callista's direction. He for one remembered his manners in the presence of a lady.
Drask on the other hand stormed in behind Alexander, without so much as a greeting to the two beasts. He was tempted to insult Alexander for acting like a blithering fool, but he held his tongue. "Interesting." Drask looked around at all the notes and sketches scattered around Callista's cabin, wondering who the Pure Ferret had managed to gain so much valuable information.

"It's nice to meet you Alexander, Drask." Callista said with smile. She liked it when beasts bowed to her. Showed loyalty and class. Something that she had not seen in a very long time, plus it gave her good memories of how people used to always bow to her whenever they met her back before the royal pure ferret kingdom was destroyed. She noticed Drask looking around and spoke. "Like? It was hard to read all of those. The paw writing is horrible and is only just bearly readable, but i think i got it all translated."
Krauser Frowned at the sight of them. "No lunch? Service is horrible on this floating barrel..... Oh well. I'll go off and get it myself." He walked past them and out the door, but not before giving Drask a grin that would cause the ferret to get the sudden urge to hit him. His paw steps could be heard fading away in the direction of where ever in the ship the cook prepares food for the crew.

Drask seriously considered following Krauser and settling his attitude problem, but once again he controlled himself and remained where he was, with a dark look on his face. Alexander realized that Drask probably wouldn't speak for a minute and he spoke up instead. "Indeed this paw-righting is horrible, Madam." Alexander studied the crude sketches and notes, attempting to interpret them as difficult as it was.
Drask finally snapped back to reality and addressed Callista. "How did you manage to get all of this, Madam Callista?" The last two words he bit out sarcastically, mocking Alexander. The Pine Marten didn't say a word. He knew that Callista would have something to say about it, and he guessed her rages were almost as bad as Krauser's. A wicked smile crept over his face; this was going to be fun to watch.
