OOC:This thread occurs right after Conquest of the South Stream. The fleet commanded by Drask is sailing back to Sampetra, after a successful battle.
The task force commanded by General Drask Darkfang had completed their mission, though every single soldier had no idea what they completed, except for Alexander and Drask. The mid-sized fleet was on the return travel to Sampetra, along with the Pure Ferret Callista that again, no beast knew about except for Drask. Much of the army had their own speculations about why Callista was with the fleet, but their strict discipline kept them from spreading any ideas that they had among their fellow soldiers, and they kept it to themselves.
Drask stood near the helm, watching as the steersbeast directed the ship on it course. If he wasn't in command of this entire group of ships to Sampetra, he would be at the helm right now instead of the rat that stood there now. He reflected over the past few days, from the attack of those primitive savages in Mossflower to his dealings with Callista. As far as he knew she still thought him nothing more than a general meant to serve others, Drask hoped she did; it gave him a distinct advantage of surprise. Drask wondered where Callista was at that moment, he guessed she was suffering from being over seas and stuck in her cabin. Though it was possible she was just staying in her cabin for the duration of the voyage.

Callista as indeed at her cabin, but she was not suffering under the influence of a hangover or sea sickness. She was Making out her plans, Taking a quick nap from time to time, taking a sip of wine from her glass. When it came to the napping part, she had no worries of someone sneaking in and seeing her papers. Krauser was always standing in front of her door as a guard. In fact, that crazed stoat was everywhere she was!
Krauser had been with Drask and Callista for a very short time, they both found him gutting, skinning, decapitating and attempting to hang up a few Mong Com peasant Weasels up a tree. Half crazed and full of an untold hatred and rage the radiated off him both cold and hot. He almost attempted to attack them both till he recognized Callista and following his “Protect the Royal Family” creed. Joined her and Drask for the trip to this “Sampetra” island they were headed for, and there he is, still dirty and bloody and always right by Callista’s side.
If anyone could give any opinion about Krauser. The most common one would probably be that he had to be the most Scariest Stoat they had ever seen in their entire lives….

Major Alexander was patrolling along the hallway where Callista's cabin was, the only way the Pine Marten knew that was the cabin belonged to her was there was that crazed-looking stoat standing outside the door. Alex continued walking, seemingly paying no attention to Krauser until within a few feet. "Is Callista alright? She hasn't made an appearance on deck at all."
Alex guessed she was suffering from sea-sickness or just staying in her cabin for no particular reason. The fact she stayed so quiet was what was the strangest thing, according to what Drask said, she would have had a list complaints about this ship or something or somebeast on it.

Krauser Looked at the Major with his gray eyes, so dead-looking that had the Major looked a little closer he could have saw his own self reflecting off his eyes like a mirror. "She is fine as long as I'm around. When and where she makes an appearance will be none of your business until it happens. Move along!" As quickly as he said it, he quickly blew the Major off and broke eye contact. Showing he had nothing more to say to him.
Before anything happened. Callista opened the door. Krauser was quick to move out of her way as she closed the door behind her and walking off, with Krauser close behind.

Alexander was about to assert his authority as second in command, until Callista stepped out. The Major still wasn't about to be stepped on like that, but he decided not to do anything against Krauser at present, though he wasn't sure he would win such a fight with the crazed looking beast. He followed the two, walking up beside Callista very cautiously, he wasn't feeling as well as normal due to being at sea. "Hello Callista. I hope the voyage has gone well for you so far." Alexander was among the better of all the officers in Drask's army, clearly the cleverest and most educated out of the majority. His position was due to that, as well as being among the even smaller number of beasts that had Drask's trust. That in itself made him the unquestioned second in command.

Callista looked back at the Pine Marten and smiled. "It has Mr, Alexander. Thank you for asking. This kind of brings back old memories of when i was younger and my father was still alive. He liked sailing...." This would more than likely explain the lack of evidence in seasickness, she was used to it already. In fact. It apparently seemed to calm her down for this might be the first time she was not stressed out or enraged.
Krauser, if had been given a bath before. Would have at lest looked and smelled half decent, but it was far too late to do that and if they even even dared try to give him a bath now in seawater. It might just add the nasty stench of salt water and fish AND make the smell of jungle, blood and guts even WORSE! So it was going to be final he would be given a bath as soon as they make it to the island of Sampertra. Callista would make sure of it and even if she didn't. Drask would likely not stand for it long.

Alexander smiled, "Well Ma'am, I'm glad you have enjoyed this voyage so far. I, on the other paw, prefer to feel solid Earth beneath my paws, not the rocking of the seas." The major could not understand how pirates could put up with sailing for their whole lives, the sea was to dangerous and wild for Alex to enjoy it. Though it was an advantage to be had, these sailing ships Drask had in his possession. Alexander again spoke, "If it would not bother you, Ma'am, may I request where you are off to?"

Callista gave Alexander a weird look. " Whats so bad about the ocean? To me. I Never really had a favorite terrain. Any seemed good as long as you had the upper paw in a battle.... But i never liked things like sea monsters or even worse... Sharks. Did ya know they can't chew? Not a single tooth in it's mouth that can be used for chewing, just for ripping and tearing their pray. That's why they thrash their ugly heads from side to side whenever they bite something, found that out from an unlucky soldier i saw who went overboard....."
She was quick to be at the defence of her deceased father.
" Not because of my dad. It was an accident. A lot of horseplay and a weasel went overboard and got his body ripped in two. Never forgot all the blood and guts i didn't even know were in our bodies...."
She did a fake shudder for a bit of comical relief in case Alexander was not amused by the nasty tale of the dismembered weasel.
"Anyway. I'm heading on deck for some fresh air."

"Ah, fresh air. I could use some too." Alexander would have shuddered too, only his would have been real, he hated being at sea. It was to uncontrollable, nothing ever went right, and to top it off, there were sharks and other hungry flesh eating creatures lurking under the now peaceful water. How he longed to set foot back at Sampetra, that was much safer. The pine marten kept his thoughts to himself and continued to walk beside Callista, until they reached the deck, where many of the sailors turned their heads to stare. Alexander quickly set them back to their various jobs, "What are you starin' at, eh? Get back to work! Stir your worthless bodies! Get back to your bloody jobs, or I'll personally knock you overboard!" He changed his mind slightly, as the beasts stopped staring at Callista and got back to work, (most were helping to raise the sails as the wind began to pick up) and Alex was pleased how they listened, he liked to bark out orders just like he did with the beasts under his command and have them obeyed instantly. This crew was apparently well trained.

Callista was feeling much better now that she was able to breath in the fresh air. Even though a bit of it smelled of fish and some other scents she could not identify, but those scents were not too bad. She had smelled much worse than that. The open air and light of the sun was also pleasing for her. It was always nice to leave that cabin. There was not as much room in there as there was on deck.
Though even she herself wanted to make it to this Sampetra and take her first steps on it. She wondered how big the palace is or how large the island itself really is. Would she be able to build up her own force to replace the one she lost in Mossflower? What weird inhabitants lived there other than the creatures she already knew and had lived with before? She would only know when she got there and sat foot upon it.
Krauser on the other paw.......... Well....... he does not really care much about fresh air. So there is nothing interesting to say about him for now on this post. Exept maybe the fact he was the most scariest and creepy looking creature most beasts on deck had ever saw. (And thats comparing him to even the monitors.)

Alexander nodded to Callista, "If you would excuse me, Ma'am, I'm going to have a word with General Darkfang." With that he turned and stalked off, with a bit of swagger to his step. He made sure to give orders to the bosun. "Keep an eye on that female. She wouldn't be any good to Drask if one of the crew, well you know, Zahn. Watch her." Zahn saluted smartly, "Aye, sir!" Alexander had no idea why Drask would invite this Callista along with them, but he had already guessed that since there were no other Pure Ferrets on Sampetra, she was being taken there specially for the general. The crew and the beasts that served in Drask's army had come to the same conclusion.
Drask stood beside the steersbeast, making sure that everything went smoothly. Unlike Alexander, he enjoyed the sea. The same things that the pine marten didn't like about it were the things that Drask liked. Including the wildness and the unpredictability, the danger of sailing was even more appealing to him.
He spotted Callista and Alexander come onto deck, and couldn't help but notice how many of the crew stared. The first thoughts were about how he wanted to deal with that crew. Wait, what was he saying? She's the enemy right now, and he was having thoughts about her protection? Drask inwardly shuddered, he better not be getting soft.

Callista had been in her cabin a lot for a reason. She didn't fully trust Drask or the rest because she could tell they didn't trust her either. Which is why she has Krauser around almost 24/7. The thing that made him so fearsome was that not many beasts had no fear of him. Almost every other beast became very uncomfortable when he was near. She just hoped when she made it to this island that maybe she could persuade some beasts to side with her. Therefore keeping her from being jailed or killed unexpectedly. The thought of this suddenly made her wished to make it to shore. She felt vulnerable on this ship and she hated it. If things went wrong on this ship. It would be only her and krauser and dispite Krauser's slight martial arts abilities. May not be enough.
(Crappy post. Kinda hope this ends soon so we can go on to Sampetra. XD )
