Scarlet was sitting on a boulder by the shore watching the waves come rolling in, then being sucked back into the great sea like a hand dragging through the sand. Then another wave comes crashing over it only to get dragged back again like the first wave.
Soon the sun was high in the sky and the heat from the bright orb made the boulder and the sand surrounding it blistering to Scarlets bare footpaws. She waded into the shallows and cooled her fiery footpaws in the cold, salty sea water.
As the waves started getting smaller she started to look for shells and pretty stones to add to her collections. Theres a pretty one.... Scarlet picks up a shiny black shell and puts it into her pouch. As the sun gets lower she heads back to the boulder and counts her 'treasures' in the failing sunlight. Just enough for that gift to give little Penelope Spikeback! Scarlet thinks, delighted.
Scarlet gathers some drift wood and soon has a fire going in the sand by the boulder. She sits by it with her back agianst the boulder and watches the sun set over the ocean and the calm ocean waves gently lapping on the shore, singing thier own little lullaby............. Scarlet awakes with a yawn as the sun rises in the distance. Rubbing her eyes she sits up and takes in her surroundings: a beautiful sunrise, the smouldering embers of her fire and her longbow and arrows lying next to her along with her rapier. *Standing on all fours she stretches out and yawns. Standing up on her hind legs she walks along the shore, casting about for some driftwood. Spotting some she gathers a few small pieces and takes it back to the boulder and adds it to last nights embers. Soon she has a small fire going and then waits for it to go out, leaving only the bright red embers. She takes some oatcakes out of her pack, heating them up on a small flat rock set in the embers and soon has a hot repast set out. Eating silently, she thought about the design for Penelope's present. After her meal she sat up and, glancing about her, she spots a blurry black dot further up the beach. Quickly strapping on her weapons, she scatters sand on the dying embers of her fire and shoulders her pack. She starts striding towards the black spot on the beach which was *obviously some sort of a creature*.(OOC:*hint-hint*)
