The soundd of his angry snarl was not so much as acknowledged by his little sister. But it seemed his sulking was taken into account, a small teasing tone rolled with her words, along with a smirk: "You alright Phessy? Pouting like a child is not going to help anyone..or make any crew member respect you." Bilge walked along beside her, opening his mouth to speak, then he stoped. There was no way he was going to be put in the crosshairs of either Captain.
The thrumming of his scythe was rather familiar to his little sister. So she walked on. Chaos was a relative word--to Tori--caught off guard as she was--it sounded a lot more like hostage negotations, or war.

Toriphess had his scythe held across his upraised extended shield. A giant longsword was straining against the big otter's shield. On the recieving end, a fox that could rival his size. His clothes were ragged and torn, but elegant. A red shirt of silk with gold weave; sharksin and viperskin belt; and a long, black, opened sleeved, high collared coat. A black bandana covered his head, and a silver hook held an onyx orb to his left ear. His fur was deep brown, and his eyes an intense amber, but his fangs were sharpened and extra long. The long months have been since he was last seen with the remenants of his crew, but Toriphess knew well who he was. "Swordfang!"

The violent ring of weapon on weapon, echoed along the makeshift path. The familiar, yet exhilarating sound was rather alarming. As was a normal reaction for all warring beasts she reached for her knife, clasping it around its hilt she pulled it from its holding place. Then her onyx eyes finally managed to focus on their oppenent. It was a nightmare from hell--why him! He was the one person in this entire world that knew they were real--and that had a reason to cut them down.
Then sibling love kicked in, and with a growl of rage the petite ottermaiden threw herself at the fox. SOme part of her rage clouded mind decided to duck, and with a chuckle, she swung her knife at the fox's ankle. "I'll show you skull maid--you slavery supporting, vampire fanged, bandana wearing Lazy arse vulpine!" Years of torment, the otter maiden was normally controlled in her actions. But tis wasn't just anyone this was--THE ONE.
Besides she knew that they were in trouble--no doubt the remnants of his crew were still around. "Look at the big bad foxey--getting his tail kicked about by his slavey-wavey." The word slave was like poison in her mounth, and she took that as a sign to spit on the ugly brown fox's ankle.
Bilge shivered, this was really bad. Then he fumbled in his filled shirt for the spiked balls he used for weapons. The clinks he made as he id so were more then a bit distracting.

Swordfang dodged Tori's assault. "Hold on thare you river rat. Ah'll git you arfter yore big brother." He growled and waved a finger in Tori's face. Thus distracted, he barely brough up his cutlass up in time to block Toriphess' retaliation.
The corsair otter snarled in his former master's face as they locked weapons. Swiftly, Toriphess unsheathed his dagger and made an uppercut stab towords the fox's ribs. Swordfang jumped out of the way, but couldn't keep a quick hiss of pain at the gash that split his skin from hip to breastbone. "Damn slave, you're quick. But its time to take back me crew an' me ship." The fox thrust savagely, and scraped Phessy's hastily upraised shield. .

"I am no River Rat--but then again I always knew ya were too stupid to know the difference." The finger loomed in the stormy eyes of the otter maiden andw ith a growl of her own she attempted to clamp her teeth down on the outstretched digit. Then a thought caused her to yank her jaws back. I don't want to know where he's been sticking that finger. Being a personal servant she had seen the Brown vulpine do som pretty nasty things, and those memories alone made it so she didn't even want to touch him.
"Oh look at that--nice little gadsh my brother gace ya." Using the battle itself to distract Swordfang, Tori stealthily rose to her feet. Nearby Bilge was still ruffling through his shirt, looking for something. A quiet cheer caused the otter to smile. "Bilge, show him who's a river rat--" Using the cryptic comment for a distraction she nodded at the weighty ball clutched in the rat's claws.
---
Shaking slightly the blonde rat laid the ball in a sling, that currently served him as a belt. Whirling it above his head at a breakneck speed, he let the entire contraption fly, aimiming to hit the back of the fox, and hopefully not Cap'n Toriphess.
----
The Female otter bit back a yelp as her brother almost missed blocking the next thrust from Swordfang; and decided to encourage them how she encouraged everyone bribery and insults. "Well at the rate he's losing I'll have our ship all to myself in the matter of minutes. "Cap'ness Tori" without the Co in front of it sounds wonderful." The female otter mulled, covering her dagger with her claws she proceeded to walk away, Bilge behind her. Pausing she cast a weary eye to the battle. This didn't look good--it seemed Swordy could fight well with an injury.

By a handsome chance on Swordfang's part, a rebound of his sword knocked down the dangerous projectile that had been flying towords the back of his head. The ball bounced a little on the forest floor, and rolled over and clunked against a tree root. Swordfang grinned at the rat."Ah, a lil bit o' unnerhanness. I admir tha' a bit, bu I want an uninneruped combat."
Toriphess twirled his scythe around and had the scythe held below the blade. Using a double attack with his knife and the blade in short vicious swipes. Swordfang lost ground as Toriphess gained momentum.
Unbeknownst to Tori, Bilge, and Toriphess, the awol crew members and surviving pirates had surrounded them. One of them attacked Bilge, and two more tackled Tori.

As the ball bounced away Tori's mouth fixed in a sneer, and her eyes narrowed. Once the spiked little balls hit a large alder, and rolled to a stop, she snarled and turned toward Swordfang. It seemed this was no easy fight for her brother--but Swordfang had been a warring beast for seasons upon seasons, and her brother had only earned about fighting months ago. Then the stupid fox had the gall to say something about "HER" underhandedness, and the otter maiden let out a loud guffaw. "Me underhadned? Look who juist jumepd out of a bush--and likely has men hiding in theb ushes." Then her heart froze, and only now did shge realize how silent the forest was. No birds, or bugs made a peep, which didn't bode well for her.
Dropping her knife into her other paw, she turned just as two brutes tackledi nto her. One she realized as a lazy weasel in her crew called "Fleabitt". The other she recognized from Swordfang's smelly bunch. "Fleasy..come on naw mate. Why would you attack' the one who hands out the free ale? The one who was gonna keep you livin'..I mean you abandoned swordy, he just gonna throw you overboard.
Then the other beast seemed to decide it was time for her to shut up, and muttered some comment about uppity slaves and their big mouths, and about her loving tendencies. Jabbing her dagger upward she tried to find a ahold, her long whip like tail flailed about to trying to bludgeon both beasts. Poor little Bilge didn't look so good, in fact he looked downright terriefied.
They ellow rat only watched in horror as the gigantic vermi ncharged after him, although he was only large when compared to his slight self. Reaching into his shirt he tried to find another spiked ball. Then the smelly unwashed beast was upon him, and the little dusty rat hit the ground.SHivering he attempted to bite the thing away, after all his feeble muscles were no match for this ting. "TORI! HELP!" He squealed to his old friend, hoping that she would come, after all he didn't know she had been attacked as well.
Seeing her frieds distress the otter switched the position of her dagger, and with a flick of her wrist sent it toward his attacker. Leaving herself defenseless cept for her body and teeth.
Which was how she liked it.

Toriphess kept up his relentless attack. If he didn't, more than likely the fox would annhiliate him. Phessy clenched the knife in his teeth and gripped his scythe at the bottom of the shaft. The otter jumped back and swung the scythe viciously at Swordfang's neck. To his dismay the fox parried the scythe and rerouted it. The black sunk in fully its length inside the soft dirt. The long cutlass came whistling back up to Toriphess. The corsair otter grabbed the knife in his mouth and blocked the sword. He hooked his blade underneath the basket and pulled it out of Swordfang's hands, but he couldn't block the giant fist that came flying towords his face.
The rat and the weasel surrounded Tori. Both dodged easily the attacks the little otteress tried. Fleabitt unsheathed a small dagger, and moving behind Tori while Scarback distracted her.
"Little rat, little rat won't you let me com IN?!"Both lunged with blades at Tori one high, one low.
(you can control them if you want.I'm to lazy to do that for to long.)

"Im an otter you big oaf." Tori snarled, managing to maneuver around, until her back was against a tree. So it was now a weaponless her against two vermin, and a rusty dagger. With a snalr she dove at the one who currently had his weapons sheathed. After all what was the point of a unnecessary risk.
Bilge used the distraction of the flying dagger to roll out from under the much smellier beast pining him to the ground. Grabbing the fallen weapon he chucked it at Tori, lodging it in a bit of tree bark. Then blackness took over as the large musky weasel tackeld him again--bearing him to the ground.
Tori pulled the knife from the bark, it seemed things had evened up just a bit, With her own problems to handle she couldmn't even see the conflict between her borther and the former pirate captain.

Toriphess fell to the ground, and gained enough of his senses to lift a foot as the fox came rushing at him. His footpaw caught him well in the belly, and Swordfang fell back. The otter captain rolled and swiftly got to his feet, and pulled the remaining knife from his pouch. It wasn't intended for combat, but it was sharp. With a grimace, his face still ached, he threw the knife with great accuracy at the fox captain. Swordfang turned his side to Toriphess, and the blade sunk to its hilt in the fox's shoulder. Swordfang yanked the blade out and tossed the bloody length of steel aside. Thankfully for Phessy, the blade had severed muscle and tendons. Swordfang was now lame in one arm. Toriphess rubbed his face to take his mind off the pain, and then the captains began circling each other. Toriphess retrieved his scythe, but his dagger was deep in the undergrowth after his tumble. He would not recover it soon. Swordfang for his part had retrieved his cutlass. With a savage war cry, then went at each other and clanged in the center of the clearing.
