As good as the rats were with their bows. The same could not be said about their skills with a blade. Though some were armed with long daggers. They did not have any real experience with them and therefore. Most of the bowbeasts were forced to break and back off from the raccoon.
Julia immediately charged forward when the rats scattered. Her axe in one paw and a falchion in the other. She had all the advantages over the raccoon. Weapons, speed, experience. This creature would not DARE try to stand it's ground against her... Would it?
Her brothers stopped and watched the stand off between their sister and this raccoon.....

Xalato eyed the marlfox as she came toward him, taking stock of her weapons and judging her speed. Then he took out his dirk and rushed at her, going almost as fast as she was going. An arm's length away from her he suddenly changed course; he sidestepped the fox and charged from the side, slashing at her with his dirk.

The marlfox vixen was fast. She swung her axe at him the second he sidestepped. It was surprising how her axe could cut through the air so fast. It was almost like it did not weigh much at all. But as a master blade maker. She made her own weapons. In fact, She knew more about blades and weapons than most other beasts ever would. She also knew how to make them. But the axe swing was just to stop the raccoon's dagger from reaching her body and flesh. It was the falchion she swung a second after the axe was swung that threatened to chop the raccoon in two.

The raccoon had predicted Julia's moves almost exactly, and he purposely dropped his dirk as she parried it with her axe. Xalato dropped to the ground and rolled out of the way of the falchion's deadly path. He flashed another mirthless grin; this marlfox was a very worthy opponent, something the raccoon had not seen in a loooooong time. He intended to show her exactly what he was made of: Leaping to his feet he aimed a swift right hook at Julia's jaw while still keeping tabs on his dirk should he need it.

The marlfox got slugged hard on the right side of her jaw. But she had gritted her teeth and prepared for the blow before it was given. Saving her from losing some teeth. She staggered a step. Than struck back with her axe. Attempting to gash his side while at the same time chop into his collar bone and ribs with the falchion. The axe seemed to mainly be used to give power and fast strikes. But also to panic her foes into doing anything possible to block it. While the heavier blade of the falchion chopped into it's opponent at near the same time. Preventing most of her enemies from blocking both attacks successfully and getting them killed...

Xalato was impressed: this marlfox showed mastery over multiple weapon combat, something few creatures even tried to do. He shoved a nearby rat to his hands and knees and dodged the axe and falchion blades by jumping up onto the rat. From the unfortunate creature's back he made a tremendous leap over Julia's head. As he passed overhead he aimed a hasty kick at the base of her skull.

The Vixen was near stunned in surprise when he jumped from one of her own rat soldier's back and behind her. But she let her first reflex action take control. DUCK! She overdid it though and land on her stomach. She leaped a short distance from all four and stood up quickly. With the raccoon away from her, The rat soldier on the ground, and everyone else a good distance away from one another. She yelled her order. "SHOOT HIM!"

The raccoon warrior was not disappointed that he had missed the fox; rather, he was thrilled to be fighting someone of such skill. When he heard Julia give the order he was not too worried. Six Rings would not die of arrows, oh no, not with a fighter like this marlfox standing before him. As arrows zipped inches from him, Xalato made another spectacular leap, this one for length instead of height, toward Julia, putting him within the edge her falchion's range. Crouching low, and narrowly missing a far-reaching arrow, he sprang up and forward in a spiraling uppercut.

The action was so fast and so surprising that Julia bearly had time to retaliate. Reacting more out of surprise than like a warrior. She falls backwards and landed on her back when the raccoon launched at her. Although it saved her from a knockout punch. She was now on her back, the most vulnerable position you can ever be at. She was quick to jump back on her feet and back off a foot or two as so to make room between them. Her blades were longer than his and THAT ALONE was the key to winning this fight. Or maybe.... Another way.
She did it as swiftly as she could. She flung two throwing daggers at the raccoon. Maybe she could kill him from range while he was recovering from his attack.

As fast as the raccoon was, he was not fast enough to completely dodge the two daggers. Still crouched from his landing, he threw up his forearm in a block and recieved the daggers there, as opposed to taking them through the more vital parts. Now Xalato was injured; he would have to remain on the defensive and wait for the marlfox to make a foolish move.

The marlfox princess was no idiot. Let alone a fool. She flung another dagger at her opponent. Hoping to score a more lethal blow against the raccoon. She would do two things for now. Kill her foe from a distance or she would simply weaken him with her daggers and back off, leaving the raccoon to bleed out and become too weak to fight effectively.

The raccoon snarled as he attempted to block the other dagger the marlfox had suddenly flung at him, but this one took him farther up the arm, towards more lethal territory. Xalato thought back to the training he'd recieved under his Lord, and he thought of something.
Ripping two of the blades from his forearm, he sent them whirling towards Julia. Then he collapsed onto his hands and knees, presumably from blood loss. The raccoon warrior panted at an unaturally fast rate, waiting for what his opponent would do next.

The Marlfox dropped on her stomach in attempt to avoid the flying blades. She dodged one but the other managed to make a small cut on her body in its flight before it struck a nearby tree. She had to be even more careful now. The raccoon was trying to use her own weapons against her. That was anything but good! Time to finish it!
She flung another dagger while in mid-charge and swung her axe at the weakened raccoon in a attempt to kill him on the spot. The sooner she killed him. The safer she would feel. This raccoon managed to sneak into her camp and even near herself. If she didn’t slay him now, he was sure to come back!

Xalato's face lit up in a fierce grin; his trick had worked astonishingly well against a trained fighter. As the marlfox came at him in an axe swing, he let the dagger pierce his injured forearm and immediately pulled it out again. As the fox came into striking distance he leapt up as though unharmed. She actually thought I was done for? Hah!, he thought. The raccoon jumped backwards, narrowly dodgeing the axe, and held the dagger underhand as he moved in to slice his opponent.

Julia had thought the slight blood loss and the time of constant fighting would wear out the raccoon just a little, but enough to make his speed a little slower and his ability to dodge and attack a little more sloppier. But she now saw it did not at all. She was quick to jump back from the raccoon as he retaliated and pull her falchion out and attempted to go back to multiple arms fighting again. She has taken the distance away time to rest a little. Now with her energy back to full. She might be able to overwhelm the raccoon with fast two weapon fighting.
