Callista was a little uneasy near this fox that she saw before her. Creepy-looking and intimidating. He looked worse than any savage she ever heard of or seen. Though looks can always make the beast “Seem” dangerous. The beasts that Drask and Callista encountered did not look as frightening but what they did to other beasts made them already well-feared enemies…

Jasyn decided to creep them out before answering. He took his scythe, and lifted it in the air, before bringing it down in a big whoosh. The grey katana blade landed precisely betwen two of Drask's toes, and the handle leaned up to touch the mercenary's shoulder. Unconcernedly, the death dealer brough out two skeletal hands from the depths of the sleeves, and pulled back the hood of his cloak. Thus removing the shadows hiding his grotesque face. He looked like a horned skeleton, and that was the poing he was trying to convey. Jasyn grinned, showing his yellow teeth in an unsettling display of a two-teeth grin. "My name is Jasyn Kaiden. I am a mercenary under the employment of one Hans Vermeer. By payment only, he has set me in command of forty beasts. As well you know, we face at least 180 good-beasts ahead. Your army is more vast than mine, so I offer an alliance offer. By written contract, or by weaponplay, I will get through my mission successfully. I refuse to let anyone, or anything stand in my way." With that, Jasyn replaced his hood, reenshrouding his head in darkness. He pulled his scythe blade out slowly, and polished the blade on his sleeve. He then replaced it in its normal, at rest position; namely, across his shoulders with both hands hanging over it.

Drask was thoroughly freaked out; not by the blade slashing down by his foot paws, but the foxes appearance looked like something crawled out of hellgates. The general decided to do some showing off of his own. He drew his saber in a fraction of a second, and brought across the foxes cloak, slashing a thin line through it. The slash was across the hood of Jasyn's cloak. Drask sheathed his saber and smiled wickedly, as his icy blue eyes narrowed, "An alliance? For such an alliance I would need to speak with your employer. Hans Vermeer. Other than that I have nothing to say. Except if you want swordplay, you'd better ask someone else." You're no match for me, the ferret thought inwardly.

Surprisingly, the death dealer laughed long and hard. He threw his head back, removing his hood again, and howled into the sky. A small line was the only clue to Draks's attempt at intimidation. "Ask someone else for swordplay? Hooo! That's rich." Jasyn was finished guffawing into the clouds, and had dropped his head to grin at Drask. "Are you scared? Is that it toughie? Are you terrified of the though of my undead face and hands kicking the living crap out of your normal body? I think that is so, you damn yellow-bellied coward. Try intimidating me, and say to me that you aren't willing to go mono-y-mono against me. Sorry to dissapoint!" With a vicious, savage glee, Jasyn tore off his cloak and tossed it into the catching branches of a near by tree. He loosned the weight on the end of his ebony staff, and lifted his scythe in the air. He held on with both paws on the bottom to the shaft, and spun the weapon like an upside-down pendulum. The four pronged weight spun wildly, the circle boundary it marked getting wider and higher with each successive swing. When the chain was finally loose, Jasyn spun the scythe in one paw, dropped it straight down to the dusty road, resumed his grip on the wood, and caught the chain in the other paw. The weapon was based on LONG. The katana blade was longer than his arm and the ebony wood shaft was taller than him by at least a head. But the longest piece was the chain. The weapon attatchment was twice as long as his armspan. "Rest your fears at ease, Drask. For soon, you won't have any." With that, the fox lunged quickly. Almost giving no time for Drask to react. He was ready to disarm Drask should he block, and jump after him should he dodge.

Why were these beasts always so foolish? That one thought echoed through his mind for a spit second. Drask didn't dodge or parry the foxes weapon coming toward him, instead he drew his dirk and stabbed straight at the fox's throat. If his dirk hit it would kill Jasyn, if not the thrust would slow him down long enough for Drask to finish him with ease. That fox insulted his skill as a swordbeast, so he would show him what the icy cold blade of a Darkfang could do to somebeast, few managed to survive a direct insult, and Drask wasn't about to let some ugly fox mercenary ruin his reputation. Jasyn didn't scare him at all, though his appearance was the weirdest thing Drask saw in his life.
OOC: Cole you should bring in Hans Vermeer before Drask and Jasyn kill each other.... lol

Jasyn twirled, dodging the dirk blade, and grabbed Drask's wrist in one vice-like grip after dropping the chain. The fox grinned again and pressed up against the ferret. His head was only a hair's breath away from Drask's. "Do you dare threaten me, coward? This is your punishment!" Jasyn pushed away from Drask violently and stood in an open patch of dirt. Jasyn cought the chain again as it came rushing toward his chest. And he thrust the blade once again into the ground. With both hands, he grabbed the chain. One paw held a length the equivalent of his for-arm, the other paw held the other, remaining links off the dusty path. The mercenary began twirling it. After every one revolution or so, he'd let slip one more link through his paw. In no time, he had a taught length of chain between both paws, and little more than his entire arm span's length twirling around his head. "Come then, yellow-belly."

Drask dark smile looked more like a snarl as he drew a dagger from his belt and spun it in one paw, "Discretion is sometimes the better part of valor mind very inexperienced friend. If I wanted to I could end this right now, but fighting solves nothing, except to show that you are very headstrong and naive. Now I have a battle to win, I don't have time to fight with foxes who think they are invincible." The ferret general saluted Jasyn with the dagger then sheathed his dirk back. "I actually thought you were better than an idiot who picks fights, I thought you were an equal to me. I guess I was wrong."

"Do not dare underestimate me, yellow-belly. I don't give a damn about your battle, and being one who deals death-I am very aware of my own mortality. You just decided to scare me. That is a big mistake, my weak inferior. I have been faced with a mission. YOu stand in my way. I offered a treaty, you believed that you were higher up than me, and therefor you are to high and mighty to deal with me. I. Will. Kill. You." Jasyn sped up the twirling change, then jumped forward and pulled the chain in an uppercut strike.

Drask laughed bitterly at Jasyn as once the fox had spoken. The ferret general side stepped to avoid the chain that came swinging toward him, and he grabbed hold of it as it swung past him, "You want to know what death feels like? I'll be happy to show you my mercenary friend." With that he raised the paw that still held his dagger, but instead of throwing into Jasyn it signaled his men. Instantly several scores of the Sampetra Infantry broke off from formation and positioned their spears and pikes at the foxes neck, while some of the archers trained their bows onto him. "I'll be happy to give the order to kill you my friend."

Jasyn Kaiden, Death Dealer, was only a slightly bit nervous. Surprisingly enough, he was even relaxed enough to deliver another unsettling smile. " My, my Drask. I had hoped you better behaved than that. I knew better, but I stille hoped. Now my overlordish friend. It is high time for you to learn why my services are in high demand, and why my price is more than you can ever willingly afford. I repeat, I will kill you, but after I force you to yield to me.What's more, I shall accomplish it without my scythe." That being said, Jasyn removed his katana from the ebony shaft and threw it down to where his own pitiful group began. Then he got ready. Jasyn crouched and rotated his torso to where his right paw( his sword paw) was behind his head, and slightly above. His left paw held a coil of chain, and was lower then the right, but on a straight, lateral line. He rotated the blade to where the sharpened end faced the sky, and he rotated his footpaws to match that above. His face reflected utter seriousness of what he was about to do, but his tail betrayed him by waving in a frenzy and beating up thick clouds of dust. "NOW!" The only sound he made almost caused everyone to jump out of their fur after the long period he stayed silent. Leaving no time for Drask to signal, Jasyn lunged underneath the spears and thrust. The unfortunate soldier before him gasped as the tip of the blade emerged from his back. The fox pulled back before the soldier's fellows could register his actions, and, with a great heave, he lifted the vermin in the air, of chest height to the surrounding group. Jasyn stood, and then spun his unfortunate victem, knocking down his enemies like saplings before a maelstrom. His way cleared, Jasyn pulled the chain to him and by action, slipped the corpse off his blade. The beast removed from the blade with a sickening thwap, and tumbled to the forest floor. Again he lunged, and he passed by Drask's legs. Hooking out a snowy footpaw, Jasyn attempted to trip up the ferret. If he failed, he had his chain pulling along behind him. But of course, Drask could not spot the lengths coated in dust and already resisting the shine of light...
