(1.Needs to be AT LEAST 3 lines long. 2. This post confuses me. 3.You usually do not just say what character you run into.)

Bee had gone out early to find some special ingredients for a recipe her mother wanted to try out for supper that evening -- not that the ingredients were hard to find, but they provided a special flavor to the dish. She had made a beeline to the patch of sage only to find that it wasn't there. Confused as to why the little patch was missing, Bee made a thorough search of the surrounding area, and ultimately came up empty-pawed. She did find some very ripe blueberries, and took a moment to pick a goodly number, but no sage was to be found.
Rather put off, Bee sat down in the lee of a shady oak and deposited the blueberries in her satchel -- which she always carried on such trips -- and decided to close her eyes for just a little while. Perhaps she had missed something in her first search that would come to light after a quick nap.
That nap did not last very long. It seemed to Bee that she had barely closed her eyes when somebeast came gallumphing right over her!
Shocked out of her doze, Bee let out a short squeak of surprise and scrambled to her feet, eyes darting about for the one who had nearly stepped on her...and the blueberries. She was greatly relieved to find that it was not a vermin, but rather, an otter. Emboldened by that one fact, Bee extended a clawed paw in greeting. "Hurllo. Loively doy, ain't et zurr. Oi'm Bee."

A bit startled by Bee, Kippo shakes his head a bit and replies with a firm paw shake. "Hello there! I am Kippo. Why are you out here on a fine lovely day? You should be playing with freinds or eating. But, it doesnt really matter...does it?

Bee indicated her satchel and drew out a pawful of blueblerries. "Blueberries. An' uther ingred'ents. Thur fur moi mum's cookin'. An' fur moi. Oi'm a cook too." About to replace the ripe berries into the bag, Bee thought twice about it and held them out instead. "Wudd you'm loike some? They'm be gurtly roipe."
So much for that nap. But this was much better. Bee liked to talk and meet new and different folk, so long as they weren't vermin. As she often told her friends 'Oi'm gurtly afroid o' vermins.'

Kippo looked at the blueberries offered by Bee and realized that was the squishy stuff he almost stepped on. He replied in a kind fashion. "No thank you, Bee. I already had breakfast" he lied. "do you mind if I go blueberry or whatever picking with you?" He then, not waiting for an answer, ran off into the forest and returned with a pawful of flowers. "My apologies for nearly stepping on you. Here are some Chrysanthemums and Sunflowers for you." After giving the pawful to Bee, regardless if she wanted them or not, he started to slowly draw a weapon and he whispered to Bee. "I think someone is coming. Do you have a weapon?"

Bee shrugged and deposited the berries back into her satchel. "If'n that's what you'm wants, zurr. They'm be gurtly tasterly burries."
Glad for the offer of a helper, the little molemaid replied enthusiastically to Kippo's request. "Oi'd be glad to have sum help'n. Oi'm lookin' for sum sage. But its'n naught t'be found."
Somewhat surprised by the flowers, she accepted them as an apology, even though she was not one to keep grudges, and she had to admit that they were pretty. She was even more surprised when the otter started to draw out his weapon. She didn't think she had done anything to make him mad so quickly, and it was only after he spoke that she realized what was really going on.
"Oh no, zurr. Oi'm jus' a mole. Oi dunn't use'm. Dun use weapon's...not ev'r."

Kippo didn't even take a glance at Bee. "Then take this." He gives her a sling and gives her a quick lesson on how to use it. "You load the rock here and pull back. then you release." He suddenly charges into the woods, only to return with a blood-covered sword. "There are vermin about...run home quickly, I shall protect you." He quickly cleaned off his dirks and said that he only wounded one. "I would not be surprised if there are more." he pulled out out his throwing daggers and begins to cautiously walk toward Redwall.

((OCC: I know I am sounding picky Kippo, but your post need to be in past tense. Your Line: He gives her a sling and gives her a quick lesson on how to use it. Correct Way: He gave her a sling as well as a quick lesson on how to use it.

Nightengale jumped clear out of a bush with a bloodied leg and charged Kippo with her poisoned dagger, only to be met with 2 daggers countering and deflecting her assassination attempt. She retreated to a nearby bush and harassed Kippo. "Why wont you just stay still and let me stab you, you mangy otter!" Kippo replied with an accurate dagger to the position Nightengale had just left. "Do we really have to go through with this AGAIN?" Kippo called as he snook behind Nightengale. "You know I have beaten you before." Kippo quickly dropped his daggers and deflected a 2nd attack to his with the hilt of his dirk. Nightengale realized that this was a waste of time and quickly left the combat with no trace.

Kippo turned to Bee. "Sorry about that, eh, old pal? The fox that attacked is a assasin who seems to have been paid to kill me...but she never has laid a paw on me. Though she is getting better she could possibly kill me." Kippo picked up his daagers. "Keep the sling." Kippo decided to wander off into the forest and find some sage. He looked in his normal herb spot, yet found none. A few minutes later, Kippo uttered a cry. "BEE!" Kippo had found where all the sage was. The fox had used them as food flavoring for meat. He picked a satchel filled with them and relized that this was her camp. And she was coming right here!

Bee had accepted the sling hesitantly: weapons were not her forte. Everything had changed so quickly, and though she supposed that it was the way of the world outside the thick stone walls of the abbey she still wished that life could tak it just a little slower. It was getting hard to keep up with the pace, and she was only a molemaid and not prone to doing anything quickly, but rather with great care.
And the swiftly moving events continued.
Normally, Bee would have heeded her acquaintance's words and headed on back to the abbey as fast as her paws would take her, but life had other things in mind and she only succeeded in backing up into the shadow of an old bent oak when the fox appeared on the scene.
She watched the confrontation with great trepidation, her forepaws fairly quaking in her fright. And even once it was all over and the fox was gone, she couldn't bring herself to say anything, just nodded when it seemed appropriate to do so and squeezed the sling in a futile attempt to leech out some of the lingering tremors.
But everything fairly came back unto itself when she heard the otter call her name. Bee shook her head, muttering under her breath, "Oi'm nev'r leavin' th'abbey agin. No zurr; oi'm nev'r leavin' agin..." That in mind, she headed in the general direction of Kippo's voice, suddenly pleased when her sensitive nose picked up the scent of sage on the breeze. Such a good smell....

Kippo burst though the trees with a satchel of Sage. "Get to the Abbey. Now." Kippo gave the molemaid the satchel and walked along side her, with both hands ready to draw his dirks. Kippo looked happily at the molemaid. "is that enough sage for ya? I can get more..." Deep in thought, Kippo secretly shuddered. 'I hope that fox does not see her. She did not even move during the fight.' he thought as he escorted the young mole to Redwall. OOC: if you want...we can continue this in Skipping...
