Silas smiled at Tamar again, his trademark grin, as she stopped mid-sentence. He took her paw and said in a reassuring manner, "Don't worry. I think we'll get all the excitement we need then." conveying a thought through the words that led Tamar to infer that they'd make it no matter what happened tomorrow. However, at this he thought about what might happen if he accepted Tamar's offer to stay inside. Well, it wasn't like they'd do anything like that now. So he stayed, just the thought of being together with the squirrelmaid as long as possible compelling him to do so.

The balck mouse gave her a black look in his mind as he continued out the door and down the steps to the kitchens. He had to dodge several mice preparing the morning meal. He made it to an important-looking mouse and asked for food and drink for the infirmary patients. The mouse nodded and filled a tray for Bryan to take up. He explained that he was not supposed to carry anything. He would've if he could, but the friar nodded understandingly and detailed a mole to carry the tray upstairs

Rokna looked up from some food she was preparing when the black mouse approached her. "Food an' drink you say? I suppose, if it's for the infirmary patients." she said with a sigh. Ever since the hares arrived at Redwall Abbey, there haven’t been very many leftovers for things like the guards on the walltops or just a snack for when someone wanted it. "If I can find any..." the Friar muttered to herself. She went around the kitchen, picking up whatever food her paws touched. Along the way, Rokna ordered one of the kitchen assistants to get something out of the cellars to drink. "Here you are!" she said happily, putting what she had in her arms on a nearby tray. "The drinks should be here...now, I suppose." The assistant hurried to the spot, drinks in hand, and them on the tray as well. As Bryan told her about having someone else carry it up, she frowned, but nodded understandingly. Turning to a mole, she asked, "Carry this tray up to the infirmary, will you? I'm quite busy at the moment and everything possible would probably go wrong if I leave at such an important time of the day." After that was finished, the mousemaid returned to her work on the pie she was making. In another part of her mind, she wondered who was hurt and what happened.

((we have a Friar woo hoo))
Tamar scooted over in the big gatehouse bed to give Silas room to lay down. She laughed softly, "Maybe it's good there's a battle tomorrow. It will keep creatures from worrying about us." Or possibly, she thought, thinking about me and Silas will give them a nice diversion from the battle.
Ally smiled over at Jeremy on the infirmary bed next to her own and squeezed his paw. "So we finally get to sample that famous Redwall scoff, eh Jer? Who woulda thought we'd had it brought to us on a tray? That's service for ye, wot?"

"Still, a battle tomorrow's never good in general." Silas comments, getting up to set his weaponry aside, which consisted of his sword and two daggers. These he set on and near the table facing the far wall. He moved back to the bed and sat down, stretching before he laid himself down next to Tamar. "I'm sure we'll be fine, though." he said, and scooted close to the squirrelmaid to deliver a gentle kiss of both passion and again reassurance.

"Yeah." said Jeremy, eyes bright with anticipation. Nobeast would be able to tell that he had so recently been fighting for his very life. Bryan opened the door leading the mole into the room, the smell of the food carrying all through the infirmary.

Garret could smell the food. He allowed himself to go up the stairs after the aroma. Upon coming up to the door of the infirmary. He barely heard a mole say "Hurr youe go, Mizter Beauregard, zurr." He recognized that name as that of the hare that had been locked out. He opened the door, and went in, seeing the two hares. He looked at Jeremy.
"That's... my fault. Liuetenant I would like to say, however, that you made a good show of yourself out there. You know, not getting killed, and all." He said, with a wry grin, and then heading back out of the infirmary, and down to Urthblayde's room.
He stepped in "How are you, friend?"

"We'll be fine," Tamar echoed breathlessly when she was allowed to come up for air. ((LOL)) "Silas I want to be beside you always: work beside you, fight beside you, sleep beside you." A bit of a smile accompanied this last statement. "You know this is going to utterly spoil me from ever sleeping in that lonely dormitory bed again."
Ally looked wide eyed at the doorway where Garret had come and gone. "Dear me, that was a flippin' fox."

Silas again felt the warm glow of Tamar's smile, and flashed a grin in return. With the expression came his silent agreement that he would like to be at Tamar's side, through toil, triumph, or tranquility. Simply because he loved her. Everything about her. Still grinning, he replied in mock seriousness, "So you're saying you'd like to avoid sleeping alone now?" That warranted the squirrelmaid a cuddle.
"I'm sure I wouldn't mind helping you." And another kiss.

When that kiss ended (far too soon for the squirrelmaid's liking) Tamar giggled, "Maybe I'd just like to avoid sleeping."
The healer smiled and nodded at the mole. "Thank you, Umfry." To which he tugged his snout respectfully and with a slight bow made his exit to return to his duties in the kitchen. ((let's all give the mole a hand er paw for a job well done.)) The healer helped prop Jeremy up into a sitting position so he could eat and checked on how his bandage was holding up. Then she took a bowl of fruit salad to Sev.

Due to the fact his eyes were closed, Urhblayde did not notice Garret reentering the room. He was a little startled at first, but glad for the fox's company. The fact that Garret seemed to hold no grudge for the incident earlier greatly pleased the badger, as did the realization that his unjust hate toward the fox had completely vanished. He smiled meekly answering, "Just fine, friend. Another day or two of rest an' I should be right as rain!"

Jeremy forced himself to eat the food slowly, instead of wolfing it all down at once like he really wanted to. Instead he ate slowly, almost mechanically, revelling in the great taste of the food. Sev accepted his bowl quietly, eating the fruit to replenish his strength.

"Good, good. In case you're wondering, the abbey is safe now. So feel free to rest, don't stress yourself." Garret said. "In fact, I can think beasts that are relaxing greatly right about now." He added, with a chuckle.
He sat in a chair by the door. "Actually, I think I'll catch some rest now. It's been a long night for all of us." He said, and leaned back, settling into a more comfortable position.

The Badger's head was swarming with questions he wanted to ask the fox, but thought it best not to ask at the moment. Still, it was nice just to share a little company with someone. Chuckling to himself, Urthblayde layer his head on his pillow. "Well, rest well, friend," he muttered.

Still smiling a little, blinking away the sleepiness from his blue eyes, the squirrel warrior replied, "Now there I draw the line, miss, at least for tonight. At this rate we'll be asleep by sunrise." Although that means I'd get to see you all that time anyways... He thought, looking back at Tamar's hazel eyes, which in all their beauty looked like they could use a little sleep. As could he.
