Veva giggled. This cat had a lot on many types of injures. "Just teach me anything you like me to learn. It's hard to decide! I never knew there were that many types of injures! Im sounding silly am i?" The rat was excited about what many things this cat was so willing to teach her.

Toboe purred happily as his tail twitched contently. Alright. We'll start with stings. Bee, hornet, wasp, and yellowjacket stings are simple enough. Just take a slice of fresh onion and put it on the sting and then spread some cool mud or pasted mint leaves on it to soothe the burning. Nettle stings are simple too. Just find a fern, pick one little leaf, and rub the spores on the sting. It works, trust me. I've used it before. Works like a charm every time.

The Water Ratmaid was amazed. "Amazing friend! Please go on!" The water rat's mind was working like a sponge. Sucking in every little bit of information shown and given to her. Her interest in the healing arts made it easy for her to understand and already start memorizing every bit of information given to her. She has always wanted to help people and this was one of the way she could help. By helping those who were hurt.

Toboe smiled. Alright. Let's see here... Hmm... Okay, well for poison incidents you'd use this plant here. Athelas which is also called Kingsfoil in some areas. You chew it up a bit and stick it right in the wound if they were cut by a poison blade. Then you'd have them eat a small sprig or two before pasting the rest up and spreading it over the wound. If they ate something poisonous, you'd just have them eat a couple sprigs and then drink plenty of milk or water. Milk is better from what I've heard.

"I always wanted to know about how to treat poison. Strange. You ever noticed that Hans' Bowcats never used poison? Only fire arrows. It's impressive. They don't need to poison their arrow tips. They are so experienced with the bow that they can out range and out shoot even those with long bows.... You think they could beat even a badger by themselves with nothing more than their bows?" The waterat had always been amazed by the Bowcat's ability to fire their arrows from long distances and hit their opponents dead on. She has known no archer that could out match them.

Toboe nodded thoughtfully. From what I've seen of them, I wouldn't be surprised if one could take down a badger by themself with just a bow. They are extremely accurate with them... I wish I was that good with a weapon.

The ratmaid crossed her arms and smiled. "Lest you got a chance to have weapons. Maids are not really seen as warriors or fighters on this island. I never even touched a dagger! The only thing i had handled that might have made good weapons was a pitchfork and a hoe!"

Toboe laughed. Might've? Those would've been excelent weapons provided you knew how to use them as weapons. Even then you wouldn't have to know all that much to use them effectively as weapons.

The Ratmaid looked embarrassed as she replied. "Uhhhhhh........ How could you use them as weapons anyway? I have never seen anybeast harm any other beast with a hoe or pitchfork. Other than a attempted stab at a pike fish. Though the fish got away alive and unharmed...." The Ratmaid felt a little stupid for saying such a thing and asking such a silly question...

Toboe smiled gently. Well the pitchfrok is indeed used by stabbing, but fish are harder to stab than other creatures. The hoe could sort of be compared to an axe. You just hack at the opponent with it and hope you can hit them basically.

The rat smiled" That makes alot of sense. See? You know far more about weapons or what can be used for weapons than me. But enough about weapons. Lets go back to healing. Please?" The rat made sure to be polite by adding "Please." This is what made her very different from most rats. Who were cruel and mean.
Salvador had watched the rat cook very closey. Making sure he had not snuck anything into his food. When it was finally finished. He took his pike dinner and water to the dinning table and began to eat. "Ztupid water rat didn't poizon my food! Zomeday fox! You will be made into a new cloak for me!" He thought with a smug hiss.

Toboe nodded in agreement and rifted through his supplies. Let's see here... Ah! Alright then, we'll go onto stab and slice wounds from blades next. First thing you gotta do is wash the wound out thoroughly with warm water and then check it for poison. If it isn't poisoned you just stitch it shut, spread some pasted athelas over it to keep out infection before bandaging it. If it is posioned then stick some chewed athelas in the wound and have the victim eat some before stitching it shut and all that other stuff.

The Rat maid asked a question. "When you are stitching the wound up. How painful is it? Are there ways to numb the pain long enough to stitch the wound? Or do they have no choice but to tough out the pain?" She had always wondered about that. Including tales of searats with peg legs and hooks to replace cut off paws. In fact. That was going to be her next question. How do they put peg legs and hooks on?

Toboe tapped his chin thoughtfully. Well I've used ice or I also have a special herb that acts as an anestetic. I'm not sure how badly it hurt, though. I don't imagine it hurts worse than the wound already does or getting a shot.

The ratmaid nodded as she replied. "Makes alot of sense. Alright. What else could you teach be about? Sorry if i am asking far too much friend." There was alot about healing that she never thought of. Let alone even knew. But her keen interest in the arts of healing allowed her to try to remember every single bit of information by heart.
