The Mongoose's paw shot to his face. Sand exploding in his face. He made a quick dodge by jumping to the side while shaking his head to rid whatever sand was stuck in his face fur. Thank the ancestors it did not hit him in the eyes. It could have been the end of him had it happen. He was at one disadvantage and he knew it. Even his wide and long scimitar could not outreach the Pine Martin's spear. He pulled out a few of his Chakrams and got ready to throw...

Shardear grinned like a malevolent demon and rushed at the mongoose; she could almost smell victory! With a wild yell of triumph she thrust her heavy spear forward:
"Sssssdeath!!!"

He glared angerly at the ugly Pine Martin. This Pine Martin could have been smart. She could have ran away. She had plenty of chances to do so. If she manages to survive this assault than she is tougher than she looks.
He flung his Chakrams at her...

The razor-sharp chakrams sliced holes in Shardear's face, limbs, and what was left of her ears as they whizzed by her. But she was quite used to being cut. Pain only made her angrier...
Shardear stopped and clenched her spearhaft so hard that it threatened to crack. Blood ran down her sides and stained her jacket. Hot tears welled up in her eyes and she struggled to retain some self-control.
Self-control lost; She unsheathed her cutlass and held both sword and spear ready for attack.

Shatrunjay was a little impressed. His foe had not fallen. Most of the time one or two blows was all it took when it came to bandits and highwaybeasts. This one was a little tougher. But not tough enough.
"If i were you Pine Martin. I would be smart and run......" He said in his mean tone. He was not going to back down. Never! And he would kill her if he had too.

Shardear responded with a scream of rage as she glared hatred at the mongoose. Then she bulled forward regardless of the obvious threat to her life. Her blade sliced intricate patterns in the air as she charged her foe.

Shatrunjay thrust the scimitar into his sash and picked the mace and chain up quickly. The powerful metal ball could snap her weapons in two. Perfect weapon to deal with her. He took a few steps of his own forward and swung the heavy chained ball.

The two met with a clash of metal: Shardear's cutlass had become entangled in the chain of Shatrunjay's weapon. She cursed explicitly; the heavy ball had thudded into the haft of her spear about halfway down and cracked it. It was useless now as any more attacks with it would cause it to snap in two. Snarling vehemently, she drew a curved knife and manuvered in close, trying to stab the mongoose in the chest and end the fight.

Shatrunjay had to discard the mace and chain and take his one curved dagger into play. With only the spear between the two and both having a hold on it. He attempted to stab his enemy in the chest and neck areas while all at once. Trying to duck and dodge the slashes and stabs of the Pine Martin's dagger. Though as fast as he was. He still got stabbed and slashed in several places.

Shardear noticed that the mongoose's dagger was slicing holes in her thick clothing and she shuddered. Throwing down her weapons and taking a few steps back, the pine marten curled into a ball on the ground, feebly trying to conceal her emaciated midriff. In the days of her gang's prime it had been a crime to reveal how skinny she was, and the penalty had been death by burial. That was how desperate she was to hide this.

The Mongoose thought she had enough and for the first time in his life. He actually spare the Pine Martin. He simply walked away, gathered his weapons, and started to walk off. Thinking maybe the ugly pine martin finally gave up. Maybe she will not bother him anymore. He did not look at the stoats and the fox. He knew they would follow. More than likely. Beasts like them are like that...

As the mongoose got farther and farther away, the two stoats began to panic. They had never been leaderless before, and they looked to Nilansh the fox for an answer.
"Right... I guess we're goin' with him," the fox said, pointing to the mongoose. In unison all three hastened through the brush to catch up with him.
Shardear watched them go balefully. She was still curled up on the ground, hateful tears dripping down her face. Quietly she dragged herself to her feet.
"Yew better run, ya slimy snaketooth-picker. 'Cuz one day ye won't be so lucky; I'll have yer head on a pike if it kills me!"
