Raker pulled and the rope snapped apart! He gets the rope off his feet and stands up. Rubbing the numbness off of his paws. He did not take the ropes off Drask yet though and instead left the room for a few seconds. Than came back with a Cat with it's throat slit open and spilling blood on the floor. He dropped the cat's body and seached it till he pulled out a dagger from it's belt. Than he bent down to take the ropes off Drask and Callista. "Now. If we are going to get out of this alive. You have to do what i say! Don't worry. I know how we are going to get out without being spotted." The Cat turned and said again. That Ferret does not seem to be in very good condition. Drask. You think you can carry her?"

When Raker left him alone in the cell, Drask thought the cat had betrayed him. But when Riker returned and cut him free of the ropes that bound him, Drask was ready to get away from the underground fortress. He rubbed life into his paws and nodded to Riker, "Thanks." The ferret general looked over at Callista, who still looking weak and defeated. "I think I can carry her." Drask lifted the pure ferret off the ground and held her in his arms. He looked at Riker, "Let's go."

Callista felt someone lift her off the ground. She opened her eyes to see Drask there. Holding her in his arms. She was tired. She closed her eyes.
Raker moved out up front of Drask. “Not I bet you thinking we are getting out of the hole we came in right? Wrong! If we do that. They’ll splatter our brains the second we stuck our heads out. But of course, If the enemy attacks their tunnel system. How do they escape? I’ll tell you how. A backdoor exit out of here I bet. I also bet it’s lightly guarded.”

"A secret way out? Good, I don't think I could carry her through that tunnel we came from. And even if it's heavily guarded we're gonna get out of here." Drask glanced around the cell, then back at Riker, "Lead the way, my friend." A spark of hope soared through Drask, he knew they would make out alive. After taking a deep breath Drask nodded slightly to Riker.

Raker nodded “Alright. Lets go but remember. Follow my every order and word.” As they move near another room. Raker stopped Drask and peeked around into the room to see if anyone was in there. It was a lone guard who had fallen asleep. But he had one thing that might have caused Drask to near jump with rage or yell out. The Guard had his sabre.

Drask's eyes widened as he saw the guard with his sabre. But luckily for them Drask stopped himself before he went into a mad rage. The ferret whispered to Raker, "Give me the dagger and hold her for a moment. I have to get my saber." That blade once belonged to his mother, and was passed down to him after her death. Drask stared at Raker, his eyes shone with hatred, but he made no move toward the guard.

The Cat smiled and handed him dagger. "If i were you I'd throw it into his skull. But lets play it safe. Sneak in there and stab him in the head. Don't worry. I'll hold her." Raker grabbed the Ferret in his arms while handing Drask the dagger. Drask obviously had a family history or something behind that sabre. Such things should never be left behind.

Drask took the dagger from Raker and silently crept over to the sleeping guard. Slowly Drask raised the dagger above the guard; then faster than a blink of an eye the guard was dead. The ferret left the dagger buried in his enemy's skull. Drask took the sabre from the guard, he held the blade out for a moment and inspected it for any damages. He sheathed the saber and strode back over to Raker, "I can carry her. You can retrieve that dagger if you want."

Raker let Drask hold Callista while he crept into the retrieve the dagger. “You need to learn not to leave things behind though Drask. Leave behind too much hand you might wish you had still had it in the future…”
As they continued to move through this underground maze of rooms and tunnels. Raker had stuffed himself in one that ended at water. “No use in this one Drask. This one might be floored in……. Or maybe….. Wait here!” Raker went deeper into the tunnel till he went into the water…
It seemed as if moments went by. Long enough to make Callista think he must have drowned. But the cat crawled back out. Soak and wet. “I’m wrong! That’s our backdoor out! Second your in that water and your come out into a large pond or something! Ferret!“ He shook her. “Your going to have to get on your feet and go through yourself. We can’t carry you underwater.”
Callista seemed to have no choice. She got out of Drask’s arms and crawled into the tunnel till she suddenly was underwater and did not feel the restricted space that the tunnels gave. But full freedom of arm and leg movement. This really was a secret exit out!
Callista’s head broke the surface as Raker head appeared a few moments later. He went after she did. Only Drask was left to go through the exit.

Drask watched behind them as Callista and Raker went under the water. Seconds later he followed them through the water tunnel. He reemerged beside Raker. The ferret general swam to the edge of the pond and slowly came out of the water, he surveyed their surroundings then waved to Callista and Raker, motioning them to come out of the water. Drask smiled, the cat had found a way out of the tunnels! They were free from the savages!

Callista and Raker came out of the water. “Now don’t get too happy. They still maybe near or even around us. We are just lucky that we came out of the pond without anyone noticing us. Now. It’s time to us to leave.”
Callista picked up the thickest tree branch she could get her paws on and was about to do so by sneaking through the bushes went she crashed right into one of the conical straw hat-wearing soldiers. She was lightning fast. She broke the branch over the beasts head as it made a sickening crack. Killing the soldier. When she looked the soldier over. She realized it was the same on that struck her in the head when she was in the wagon. He had taken her sabre and Drask’s longbow. The Sabre she had was beautiful and very well made. The hand guard brass with gems and jewels. A real rich beast’s weapon.
She was quick to retrieve it. But Raker took the Longbow and arrows.

Drask watched as Callista killed the soldier with a thick heavy looking tree branch. He never took her as one to fight, after carrying her through the underground fortress. Maybe he underestimated her. Just then Raker took Drask's longbow, the ferret strode over to Raker, "You got us out of there, Raker. I invite you to enlist in my forces as a field commander. But I would like my longbow back."

Raker smiled at Drask. "I'm sorry. I already serve somebody. But maybe you might become allies with him? I can give you a little information that you might like to hear. He had sent some of his forces to take a part of the Great South Stream. Near the sea. He is planning to build up a dock and cogs to trade with faraway empires and kingdoms. If he ever takes that territory. He'll end up very very wealthy. Maybe you could trade weapons or something with him. Who knows. Might like what he sees and you'll end up just as wealthy..."
Raker looked at the long bow. "Sorry Drask. I'm been trained with bows since i was a little boy. I should be the one making the long range hits. I count on your and Callista's sabres to back me up in case they get too close. Don't worry. I'll give it back when we are in the clear and away from this place."
Callista could not help but to ask the question. "Who do you serve?" The cat looked at her and said "Hans Vermeer."
There were a few things about him few beasts knew. Only that Long Patrol had been trying to hunt him down. But he...... Disappeared. Many thought he might have died in the paws of savages or the recent barbarian tribes that had been forced here by Hellbeast cats. Bowcats....

"Hans Vermeer? Well it seems you already have good employment, that fox has got away with some dangerous stunts, from what I've heard of him. I just might have to try trading something with him, if this port is set up. Who knows, maybe I'll wind up rich and with some more power in different places." Drask turned back to the pure ferret, "You still haven't told me your name." Drask said nothing about Raker borrowing his longbow, the ferret didn't really like any using his weapons.

Callista Looked at Drask after she put her white belt with scabbard on and sheathed her sabre. “ I am Princess Callista of the Royal Family Kingdom.”
Raker was pleased that Drask might have an interest in trade. This would do his King a lot of good. “Alright enough chit chat. Lets move before we go bump with some other soldier.” And with that that cat kept as low as he could as he ran into the tall grasses. Callista following behind.
