Callista’s reply was surprisingly not fearful or menacing. Just a calm voice. “Bounty Hunter huh? My father used to hire them in war. He treated them a lot like assassins. Had them try to kill enemy commanders and the such. They often ended up leaving with medals and the such. You ever been involved in any wars were you were hired to kill high rank beasts?” Callista mainly wondered if maybe he had been one of the bounty hunters her father had hired. More likely not. But still. Might be a chance.

Draygo looked almost offended, "The scum who kill enemy commanders for money aren't any better than they're prey. I only hunt those who have committed some kind of crime, that's what bounty hunting used to be, justice, not a money making scheme. I never been involved in any war, if it wasn't that favor I owe Drask I wouldn't be here right now." Draygo took a deep breath then stared at Callista, "I hunt in the old fashion. Only to bring justice upon criminals."

Callista still kept her eyes on the ground. “Justice. I used to believe in that trash. Till my family and life was destroyed along with everything we owned and had. No one stopped them. No one came to our aid. I didn’t blame them. The army’s numbers were huge and powerful. Plus after a few Great Wars. No one really wanted to go into another fight. We were by ourselves. We were left to die really. Even after the assault. No one tried to stop them...”

"Justice is still achieved. Every time one of my weapons passes through someone. You must realize there is only a few like me. And even if Vrelt Darkfang the Warlord knew he was only a simple pirate back then, so was Drask. None could help you or your family, because none measured up to its power. Even now Vrelt has only a fraction of the power your family had. But he has a big ego, and his name spread." Draygo tried being sympathetic toward Callista, maybe this would reach her.

Callista did not even seem to notice what he said. She looked like a mess all the sudden right now really. Her mood would change quickly and unexpectedly, her cloths were of course filthy, so was her fur and face, she was not making eye contact with him, and it seems memories of war and what happened to her family is haunting her mind right now. She might have one of those Mental Problems soldiers have. Maybe even more than one mental problem. A troubled beast she was. Maybe the last of her once powerful family.

Just as Draygo was about to continue a short rat rushed into the tent, "Captain! Jimmy into a fight with Choi!" Draygo rolled his eyes, "Go on tell the rest I'm coming. I'm terribly sorry, madame, this is something I must attend to." With that Draygo left the tent leaving Callista by herself.
Drask saw Draygo leave the tent as he was headed back there. The ferret general strode back into his tent, only to see Callista, staring at the ground and looking like she just came through hell. "Did Draygo give you any trouble?"

Callista still didn’t look up. But she could identify Drask by his voice. For some odd reason. She was not so mad at him right now. She was far too busy suffering from a painful, self depression brought on by horrible memories and painful experiences. The sound of her voice proved such. “No Drask. He didn’t. Just bad memories. Bad memories that effect me badly...”

Drask didn't know how to handle this situation, his brother would have told him 'very carefully' but that wouldn't help Drask at all. The ferret did something he never in his right mind would have done before, he slipped an arm around Callista's shoulders, "It's just memories. They're in the past. They can't hurt you." Drask felt like beating his head against the wall, what was he doing? Trying to comfort someone who had just ordered him to get new clothes for her. I'm in deep this time. He couldn't explain why he did what he did, not even to himself.

Callista. Despite feeling a little better because of what Drask had done. Shook her head. “No Drask. You are very wrong. The Past can hurt you. Especially if it’s still alive. When my new enemy has finally died off and gone. Than I will feel much better. I know they are out there somewhere and someday. I have at lest some type of revenge on them…”

Drask still had his arm wrapped around her shoulders as he spoke, "The enemies that haunt you aren't coming. Even if they knew you were alive they wouldn't try anything, if they knew you had connections with General Drask Darkfang and Hans Vermeer. So don't worry about them. And revenge isn't always the best course to start with." Drask hoped he didn't sound like her father, trying to comfort her, he wanted to seem more like a friend to Callista than a father.

Callista knew the ferret was right. It would be near impossible to kill hated enemies by herself and even if she managed to do so. They might have allies that could take her out. To top it all off. Drask was right a second time. She might never see her foes again. Callista did something surprising. She actually hugged the ferret. But than she let go of the ferret. Just in case he might not be used to such a thing. “You sure they’ll never find me?”

Drask was utterly surprised at Callista, he never even expected that. He expected her to shove away from him and yell and curse at him. Apparently Drask was very wrong about Callista, very wrong. Drask could only smile at her, "Don't worry. They probably don't even remember that war. They were most likely beaten by my brother when he made his march through that territory, gathering a horde." Drask didn't know what to think of her, what she just did sent his mind spinning.

Callista shook her head again. But this time it was not in depression and sadness. That was one of those ‘Oh boy. Here he goes about his brother again.’ head shakes. “You worship your brother way too much. You DO know that right?” She looked like she was about to laugh. Sure. Brothers and sister. You want to be proud of them. You want them to be good. But you don’t want to say they can do ANYTHING! She spoke again. This time in a more serious tone. "So are we going to leave yet?"

Drask smiled slightly at her, "I wouldn't call it worship. I would call it more of a bitter resentment. I'm just trying not to get to mad at him. Riftgard was supposed to be mine. But Vrelt changed that. So I'm trying not to invade every time I think about that place." The ferret general was thoroughly hated his brother, but he tried on a regular basis not to show his hatred. "We're leaving soon. Once we have those siege weapons packed up. Then we can sail."

Callista never had met anyone who did not like his sibling. Heck. As mad as she got at some of her siblings. She never not liked them or hated them. Oh no! She always loved them. Annoying as some of them were. Heck. She lived in a castle with them and fought with them in war. She and her siblings rarely did really get into a fight among themselves really. She make a face of mock surprise. “STILL packing up!? Wow! Who’s packing them? Old beasts?” It was obvious she was playing around.
