Drask smiled, "With Alex in charge of it packing up we won't get out of here for three weeks." The ferret general poured himself a little more damson wine, and sat down in one of the chairs. His thoughts went on to his half-brother, Vrelt. They shared the same name but were as different as night and day. Drask was supposed to rule Riftgard, but his father lead a very active social life. And he divorced his mother, only to remarry, a ferret who didn't even have pure blood. While Drask's mother was a pure ferret, Vrelt's wasn't. That made Drask hate his father, as well as Vrelt. Drask's name was written down as the next ruler of Riftgard, but the document 'disappeared' after his father's death. He shoved all those bitter thoughts of his previous life out of his mind, and focussed on the present, "If he hurries up maybe we'll make out of here in two weeks."

Callista gave him eye contact and asked him a question “What are you doing here with Seige weapons anyway? What place were you tring to take out or conquer?” To her it was a silly question. Mainly because it is likely Drask will not want to answer it. It might be classified. Meaning in short. It is bound to be secret and not to be told to complete strangers…

Drask took a sip of the damson wine before answering, "I can't answer that question. I'm under oath of a dead emperor, Teague. I'm not to tell anyone my mission. But it's been carried out. If you are wondering why I kept a promise for someone who is dead, it's because of honor mostly and a bit of pride carrying out his last orders to me." Drask wouldn't reveal the mission, not even to Callista. And if she was hoping he would get drunk and tell her everything, she would be in for a shock. All with Darkfang blood managed to hold most beverages without trouble, and Drask was no exception.

Callista took a sip from her glass and she replied “Shame you where not in my father’s army. If we had you. We might have won. Or if Doram came back. He was a master commander. Anyway. About my father’s plan about the New Land. You think this Moll beast would try to see if it would work?” She wondered if this Moll would try it. Maybe she was greedy like herself. If so. She might have a way to kill her off and take over. Not to kill her with poison, not by throwing her out a window, not even stabbing her in her sleep. But to have the New Land’s inhabitants do the work for her. She could not be held responsible for her death if it was the spear of a raccoon savage that had taken her life…

Drask laughed, "Moll? She wouldn't ever think of conquering anything!" Drask felt a burst of pride at what Callista said about him, that if he was in her father's army they might have won the war. The ferret thinking seriously about the conquest or invasion of the New World and if it would be successful. If he could raise a massive army as he sailed from port to port, maybe he could pull it off. And with the help of Callista, and maybe, in the deepest part of his mind, Vrelt. A plan was forming in Drask's mind as he sipped his wine.

Callista replied “I didn’t say anything about conquering. No. That land is more likely too hazardous to take over. I’m talking about raiding those Raccoon Savages and taking their riches. It was said there was enough to make any beast the most powerful creature alive. That’s why I thought we should ally with Hans. His Cats are powerful archers, they had lived in the Far East Jungles, and they had a huge history of raiding. Though theirs were far bigger than any other beast dared to try. They are perfect for the jungle environment in the New Land. If those Raccoon depend on range. Than we’ll have some of the best bows on our side. We don’t need a huge force. Just a large one. Heck. They are just a bunch of savages. What could they do even against a few hundred beasts?”

"What you say makes sense. Maybe we should first travel to this South Stream, and see if Hans Vermeer would ally with us. Then raids would be twice as effective." Drask saw vast opportunities with an alliance with Hans. Taking the massive riches of the savages was a golden move for Drask. After a few raids he would be rich, enough that he could use this to 'buy' an island for himself and set up a kingdom there.

Callista in a way. Was a little glad to have this ferret to talk too and even help. She might just end up a lucky beast and go from rags to riches again if things kept going the way they are now. She could have a secret chat with Hans about Moll. Maybe this fox could do something about her that would cause her to take her place. She did not really care if she have to give some of the New Land treasure to him and than to Drask. All she wanted was to have a castle and land and an army to have under her control. Not to forget the finer things in life. Only one thing. What was this Hans fox like? What DID he look like? No one really had seen or heard him. Let alone know how clever and powerful he really was…

Drask finished off his second glass of wine then the general stood, "We are going to find Han Vermeer. Then we go to the New World." The ferret had made up his mind, he would find this Hans beast and persuade him to aid Drask and Callista in their raids. Then his plan would be in motion, he would come out of this alright, he knew he would. Now all he needed was to earn Callista's trust and make this alliance with Hans. Drask was inwardly smiling, he would come out on top, with plenty of riches. He would conquer his brother, Green Isle and anyone that stood in his path to the conquest of the western seas, Drask hoped it was as easy as it sounded.

Callista smiled. “ A wise choice Drask. Very wise indeed.” Callista’s own plan was in motion now. She could kill Moll while at the New Land. Everyone would think a savage did it or it was friendly fire. No one would know she had done it. And if she could not. Hans might. If she could convince him to do so. Either way. Things were going her way and that was what she likes the most.

Drask didn't smile however, "A wise choice for who? I still don't know if Hans will want an alliance. So this could be a waste of time." In turn Drask's plan was in motion. Soon with the riches from the savages he would rule, undefeated. He doubted Hans would want an alliance, still it was worth a try.

Callista replied “I’m a pure ferret. Pure ferrets are always well known for their royalty. When he sees me with you. He’ll want to ally with us. I bet he would. He is a greedy fox. Also. Because of your army. He’ll think we would make a powerful ally to him. Not by trade. But in war. You like commanding and leading troops don’t you?” She took another sip from her glass.

"Pure ferrets may be known as royalty, but we have no idea whatsoever where Hans will stand on that one. I know my army will impress him, and a show of force against however he's fighting might be the thing to make him ally with us. Still we have good chance of making an alliance, if Hans is greedy enough to." Drask poured another glass of wine. He realized he was on his third, if Drask wanted to remain on top, he would need to ease up on the drinking. Drask took a small sip of the damson wine then stared into Callista's eyes, this was the moment of truth, "How do I know I can trust you?"

Callista still had that smile on her face. “Because if I hated you. I would have never told you about what the New Land had. No one else knew about it other than my father and the explorers that died. That’s why my father was taking his time in making sure things would go his way. Also. I don’t have any army of my own now. They were all killed. I don’t have any real power now…”
What she said about the New Land was right. Noone ever got far enough deep into those jungles to know the Raccoons had riches. Let alone survived long enough to find out and escape to tell the tale...

So she wanted his forces to help with the raids against the savages. This added more questions to his mind, and he still was uncertain, he new people could sound completely honest, then stab you in the back, 'like my father, ' he thought. Maybe Callista was honest with him, he wanted to believe that was so. Drask felt something in the back of his mind telling him to trust Callista, he went with this voice. "Then we're officially allies. I take me word of honor highly, and I give it to you. I will aide you in your plan of attack against the New World."
