"YHe'll be fine, but the old fox but keep away from him, he doesn't like anyone near his throat, especially with a weapon." Turning towards Vortex she flinched at the gruesome act, it was better thne him trying to do it to his companions though. For now Allarin would be alright, but if that ecame infected that fox was gettingg it right back!
Allarin raised his head as the quiet sound of a snapping stickk caused him to whirl his head around, looking for the source. After a few seconds of tension he let his shoulders , and head drop, before continuing walking forward, probably jsut a bird!

Shang wasn't in a particularly good mood. Not only had he managed to capsize his boat and end up in a strange place.. again, but his robes were soaked (although they were drying out now) and his straw hat was mortally wounded. Not only that, but he had lost his chew, and his leg hurt like the blazes. Examining the wound, it appeared as if it had been inflicted by Shang's own Yari...
No, Shang was not a happy hare.
As he walked through the woods, Shang regarded his hat sadly. It was soggy, and the weave seemed to be coming apart, and it was dented. He liked his hat. Shang frowned, then managed to wedge the hat onto his head, absently he plucked a piece of the hat away and stuck it in his mouth.
Shang was supporting himself on his Yari, and he noticed that he was beginning to limp quite badly. The wound was clean; and the bleeding had stopped, but he was worried, that was for sure.
Shang's ears pricked up as he heard voices in the woods. He considered his predicament for a few moments, then called out. "Hello! Who's there?"

OOC; After Alarrin heads back I might advance the thing to where they make camp.
Silas casts a glance in the direction of the hare, calling back, "Goodbeasts! If you're vermin, I suggest you run now!"
Now the ferret and rat were a fair ways down the path, visible as two oblong dots as they marched south down the path. Silas knew he and the wolves were going to head west, so he knew they wouldn't cross paths with the pair again.

Vortex walked toward the hare, an arrow on his bowstring. He stopped when he saw the creature, and backed away, then went over to Silas and murmured into his ear. "It's a hare." He still kept the bow loaded with the arrow, but relaxed slightly. Hares were not likely to be hostile.

"Well, stop pointin' that arrow at him, I'm sure he's fine." Silas replied in an equally hushed voice. "Just don't try to hurt him or anything." He adds. Vortex really had him worried. Bloodwrath seemed to get to him too often... Maybe if he gave him some herbs...

"We don't know he's fine," Vortex ponted out. "There are evil hares, same as there are good foxes and weasels." He did consent to point the bow at the ground, though. He was not going to break into bloodwrath this time. He had it under control. Unless the hare attacked them...

"A hare--haven't seen one a those in ages." Selesa murmured gradually loping ahead of her brothr and smiling at Shang. Upon seeing his wet and moist fur she wrinkled her nose, probably best not to mention his fish like scent at the current moment. Not to mention his poor hat! Didn't he know not to swim with ALL of his clothes on? Especially hats.
Deciding to keep most of those thoughts to herself the wolfess smiled, hoping this beast wasn't a Sali hare out to kill any vermin he came by. It would be a pity to kill this young fellow he seemed rather interesting to her. "I am Selesa, that bushy tailed thing over there is Silas, and the blubbering, bleeding Ninny is my brother Allarin."
Upon hearing the word blubbering all crying for Allarin instantly ground to a halt. Both of his black eyes narrowed and he crossed his arms over his chest in a ebellious fashion. She needed to stopthinking she was his mother! He was a big wolf! He could take care of his damn self! Under the surface his dormant aner was seething, but besides the narrowed eye nothing on his outward appearence made him appear as furious as he was.
Unclining his head slightly he smield gently at the wet hare, and undid his cloak. Clumsily he tossed it, hooking it on a bush four or so feet away from Shang.

Vortex said nothing but replaced the arrow in the quiver and slung the bow across his back so he could have both front paws free. He instead pulled out his dagger. Serrated on one edge, straight on the other, and solid steel, it looked deadly.

Silas smriked and walked over to the hare, telling Selesa, "Keep talkin' like that, and maybe I'll sweep ye into a dustbin!" He joked. Nodding towards the hare, he offered a paw, noticing the smell of fish but not minding it so much. "As you heard, I'm Silas Hawkeye. Nice t' meet ye..." It was at that point that Silas realized he didn't know the hare's name.

Rankwort froze as the fox looked around. Once the fox looked down, he crawled off and slumped under a tree. He was massively relieved that he hadn't been found.

Shang was greatly relieved when a voice called back that they were goodbeasts, and it wasn't long before he could see them through the woods. He pondered on the peculiar accent the voice calling back, but the considered that, as he was the stranger here, it was probably him who had strange tones. He smiled to himself, that was novel...
He froze when he saw one of the group; a fox, with a bow levelled at him, and he gripped his Yari a little tighter, but soon relaxed when the fox lowered his bow. It seemed he wasn't going to get ventilated quite yet.
Shang smiled his thanks to the large wolf; Allarin, when he threw his cloak (presumably for him to wear, although he wasn't quite sure... it could have been some strange foreign etiquette to throw your cloaks at a newcomer) and nodded politely to Selesa as she introduced the others.
He was hobbling a little closer, in mind to retrieve the cloak, when Silas approached him with an outstretched paw.
"Shang," the hare said, providing his name for them. "Pleased to meet you. Sorry I'm a bit damp, my boat capsized," nevertheless he took Silas' paw. They seemed quite pleasant people, hopefully they wouldn't mind if he tagged along, or at least gave him directions to somewhere which wasn't forest...

"Oh no!Nt the dustpan it would ruin my beautiful fur." A expression of mock horror crossed the wolven maiden's face as she stuck her tongue out at Silas. It was nice to be out of the abbey, and its closed walls! Not to mention all the dibbuns running about, she may have loved them but after a while they became rather annoying, always trying to push their way up onto the wallsteps, and making the guardbeasts leave their posts to shoo them away.
Shang lacked the common hare accent, which told Selesa one thing, he wasn't from Sali, and more then likely not from Mossflwoer. That hat must be rather heavy, being as wet as it was, not to mention bits of the straw were dripping all over the path.
-- Allarrin nodded to Shang as he went to pick the cloak. He figured that all the wet clothes must be rather chilly. Not to mention that cloak was rather to thick for Allarrin in the slightly chilly weather. Not to mention the stray threads were starting to tickle his large nose, and bother him immensely.
Taking a deep breath he inclined his head to Shang, and cocked his head to one side.Where did this hare want to go?

Shang smiled as he put the cloak on, the effect was immediate; warming him up quite a bit. Shang hoped that Allarrin wouldn't mind his cloak getting a little wet. The hare, after all, was still a bit soggy, especially in the robes and hat department, fur not as much so.
It took Shang a moment to realise that Allarrin's gestures were intended for him, and a moment more to decipher them. Where was he planning on going? That... that was a poser, as he had to consider that he didn't even know in which lands he was in.
"Um..." Shang shuffled his feet a little, and scuffed the ground with the hilt of his Yari. "You see... the thing is... I kinda don't have any idea where I am: I washed up on the beach and it's been aimless from there. Can I... um... maybe... tag along with you guys? I promise I won't cause trouble... or.. uh... could you direct me to a landmark?" Shang was at a loss for words, which irritated him, since he didn't usually encounter that problem. He couldn't help it though, asking for aid was embarassing especially from strangers.

William was walking down one of the many paths within Mossflower wood, as he was on his way towards Redwall. However he did not quite know how to get there, and so he simply followed the trail. Hopefully meeting with someone who could perhaps show him the way. He was slowly trailing along, and as he did so he opened up the coffer on his kilt. He took out a small flask of ale, and had a few swigs of it. Then wiping his mouth with the back of his paw he laughed and then began to sing.
"When a badger is in the world, O, He ought to do his best. And when he's done his best, O. He ought to have his rest. And when I have my rest, O, I'll quaff my ale with zest. And when I'm drunk as drunk can be, O, I'll sing the badger's litany."
He sang this in a boisterous voice, laughing all the while. He merely wanted to pass the time from walking. He wasn't very fond of being without company, and so that is what caused him to sing. He normally sang about three things, either drinking, eating, or sleeping. For those were the things he loved to do.
He began to look around at the trees, they seemed to go on forever. Wondering to himself "when will I be out of Mossflower?" His keen sense of hearing picked something up. Though it wasn't very loud, and it was quite faint. But it sounded like voices. Getting low to the ground, he began to sniff the dirt before him. "Someone's been through these ways, maybe they are what is making that sound up ahead..."

Silas, not noticing the new beast some distance away in the bushes, replied to the hare. "Well, there's Redwall abbey back there a ways..." He gestured back the way they had come, "Or I guess you cold come with us if you'd like. We're heading back to the coast." He explained shortly, knowing that the hare might want to head back into familiar territory. As he said this, he thought he heard singing to the group's left, but it must have been the wind, because as he focused his hearing in that direction, it stopped.
