Shang smiled broadly to Silas when he said it was alright for him to come along with the rest of the group. He would try not to be a burden to them... although... they all looked like pretty competent fighters, and Shang was green, to say the least.
"I'll come along with you. Thanks; I'll try not to hold you back," even as Shang spoke, his leg throbbed; he would have to bandage that up sometimes soon if he didn't want it to start bleeding again.
Shang's ears pricked up, as he also heard a distant voice raised in song, it faded away quickly, but Shang was never one to keep quiet when something to speak about materialised. "Did you hear... singing?" he asked Silas thoughtfully, a slight frown on his face, barely discernable in the shadows cast by his fatally injured hat.

"Yeah." Silas replied, turning his head in the direction in which it came from. "Here, you stay with Selesa and Alarrin for a bit. I'll check it out." With that being said, he climbed the nearest tree with classic squirrel agility and was lost to sight, at least temporarily, seaching for another beast as he bounded and leaped through the treetops.

Not waiting to see if anyone was comming, William began to walk again. Still keeping his cheery attitiude, he laughed at how beautiful the day was. The sun was shining, and it was nice. He began to laugh again, and took another drink from his flask. Then he began to sing the song again.
"When a badger is in the world, O, He ought to do his best. And when he's done his best, O. He ought to have his rest. And when I have my rest, O, I'll quaff my ale with zest. And when I'm drunk as drunk can be, O, I'll sing the badger's litany."
He sang as he continued to walk, looking around about him. Though he could hear something moving again.... Thinking again to himself, "What is that noise? Is it in the forest or on the path?" So he stood his ground. Perhaps whatever was making this noise would soon make itself known...

From his posisiton slumped at the tree, Rankwort watched the singing beast go down the path. He had never seen this type of creature before. Rankort jumped in front of the beast. "Who are...No, What are you and what are you doing on my path?" He snarled.

As he noticed something jump out, William quickly pulled the claymore out of the sheath on his back. Grasping it firmly with both paws, he pointed it at the small creature, "Have you never seen a badger before? I am on my way to the Redwall Monestary... And who are you to be adressing me thus?" He said with a roar.
"Why would one so small try to stand up to me?" He began to think, and his distrusting nature began to set in, "Perhaps he has some friends around..."

Vortex watched the forest curiously, finally ignoring his paw and dropping it to his side. He heard singing. Who would be foolish enough to sing in these dangerous forests? That was really not smart. Still, somebeasts might be new to this place and not know much about it.

Shang watched Silas depart, in moments he was out of sight. That was almost like a hare running... and speaking of running, he wouldn't be doing too much of that if he left that wound...
Shang rummaged through his robes, and managed to extract a rag, which could probably serve as a bandage of sorts. He wrapped inexpertly around his injured leg, but bound it tightly. Shang could feel in pinching, but knew it would be for the best, he didn't want an infection after all.
Whilst he and the wolves waited for Silas to return, Shang removed his hat, regarded it sadly for a moment or two, then placed it own the ground. It had been a good hat, but wearing it now was... daft. With the hat off, Shang's youthful face was in plain view, as well as the bandana, which looked as if had slipped over one eye. On the other hand, that was the general idea, underneath wasn't too pleasant.

(So hwo far would you say the others are? Are they within eyesight?) (I would say they are somewhat within eyesight of my character, in that he can make something out in the distance. So you would obviously hear him singing...)

Selesa watched Silas depart. Wondering what creature had also chosen today for a walk she slunk ahead of her injured brother. Trying her best to ignore his wounded muzzle, she knew wjat Bloodwrath could do and had no right to blame Vortex for his actions, instead she blamed herself for not yelling out a warning. "Ho' friend we mean no harm!" She yelled, hoping her loud voice echoed far enough for him to hear, but as of now she was hiding in the bushes, she could tell it qwas a badger, and they usually werent the friendliest to her and Allarin.
Behind her Allarin looked up, slightly angry still. With a loud sigh he limped off after his sister. Glad to be out of the way, and not caring about the danger, only about his poor nose. (suck sorry..no muse for them today)

William, hearing someone say they meant no harm shouted back. "Aye, but there is this little rascal here who seems to want to do me harm!" What he was referring to was the beast who jumped out infront of him. However he looked as though he wouldn't do anything, so looking towards the weasel, he said, "Well I think I'll be on my way if you have nothing to say. There are some people down the ways who call me friend. I bid you farewell."
Sheathing his claymore, he began to walk towards where he heard the creature call him. If they meant no harm, then perhaps they would be able to speak of the direction towards Redwall...

OOC: Note: Okay, folks, This thread'll merge with Thief and fox in a few posts. If you have no idea of what's going on, read through the other thread, or the last five pages of it.

OOC: like right now. Silas is coming back.
The squirrel bounded back towards the group, landing lightly upon the path without incident. Hurrying over to them, he explained, "Vermin, in the woods. A horde of 'em." He told everyone, primarily the wolves. "They know we're here."

Rankort looked at him. "A badger, huh? I've never heard of a badger before. Well now, as you don't know the real name of the place that you are looking for, you will need a guide. My name is Rankwort and I'll guide you to the Abbey of Redwall."
