I thought that since this site is for Redwall, I'd get a thread going for it. It's simple, you can bring up any topic you want, just keep it about Redwall and don't turn it into SPAMTHREAD or BAD GENIE. So I'd like to start this off with a discussion about the books themselves. Does anyone know about Mr. Jacques' new book coming out?

We already have a spam thread and a bad genie
I didn't even know there was a new book coming out yet. Which reminds me, I still have to get High Rhulain

I don't know when it's coming out, but the new one has something to do with an ancient Native American legend, the Fire Fox... or something. My brother is reading High Rhulain, and he likes it. Supposedly, it's pretty original among the other books in the series. I still have a ways to go as far as reading all the books - I'm just finishing Salamandastron(an AWEsome book), then I'm going on to Martin the Warrior.

The new one is called 'the Doomwytes' and I think it has a Raven in it as a main character. But i'm not certain about that. It's supposed to come out the beginning of Oct. I've either read or listened to the audio book of all of the books. I'm going back through and reading them in chronological order now and i'm just about finished with Martin the Warrior. I'm kind of partial to Salamandastron myself, as well.

woah. that differs from his usual titles. Did either of you read Castaways of the Flying Dutchman and the two subsequent books?

i listened to the audio book of Castaways and about half of the next book. They're pretty good. They have an interesting spiritual quality to them and the research that he put into the time periods is cool too

Yeah. the new book is supposed to be called 'Doomwhytes', according to what it says at Wiki. My all time favorite Redwall book is either Outcast of Redwall or Pearls of Lutra. Though Marlfox was pretty good too. Swartt Sixclaw rocks!
