"Defend myself? Sure can,"the stoat said proudly,"I can use sword, dagger, spear, this here hammer, all that stuff." Tunn laughed as if he'd just thought of a funny joke,"Most of the conflict I've seen requires just one skill..."Tunn continued sharpening the sword with a devious look on his face, hoping the hare could take a stab at the answer.

Dragon's eyes widened. "Oh, no. Not that. Please tell me its not that." Dragon prayed silently that what he thought was wrong. He thought Tunn was like that warthog, Pumbaa...

The stoat smirked evilly, still sharpening the sword as he slowly revealed his... "secret"...
"First I eat a bunch of vegetables..."Tunn's grin got wider: "Including beans..."

"END. IT. NOW." Dragon covered his nose and his ears, even though they were pretty large, and gave Tunn a creeped-out look. "That is oh SO wrong..."

Tunn's eyes got a little wider and he slowed down his work on the greatsword.
"Easy there, buddy. I was just teasin' you..." Well, truthfully he wasn't, but the fat stoat knew that goodbeasts didn't take too kindly to... "unsanitary" things...

"Riiiight. And there are beings who are gigantic compared to us and have no fur." Dragon shook his head and tried to remove the thought. To Dragon, it wasn't a big deal, as long as he wasn't in it. "Whatever. Did you know that your teeth will improve your lifespan if kept in good condition?"

"Hunh, well that makes sense..."Tunn noticed his paw was getting tired, and switched the sharpening tool to the other paw to continue. "Good teeth means you get to eat more crunchy things..." Tunn thought for a minute. "Isn't it strange that everything good for you is either crunchy or gloppy?"

"True. But i find that the sweeter things aren't as good for you as the worse tasting ones in good cusine." Dragon watched the stoat work and decided to ask. "Hey Tunn, do you have family? Or good friends?"

"Family? Nah, I don't think I do, unless I've got some unknown cousin out there somewhere,"Tunn looked up toward the nearby abbey's ramparts, "And I once knew a mole I was good buds with, but he seems to have moved lately..." The big stoat stared back down at the sword he was sharpening.

Dragon knew to drop the topic. He didn't want to stray into dangerous territory. "So...uh...yea." Dragon watched the methodical movement of Tunn's arm, hoping that the stoat would make a new topic to talk about.

Tunn noticed the silence, but disregarded it, choosing instead to adjust the angle of his sharpening tool to put an edge on the sword's tip. Glancing up at the abbey's ramparts again, the stoat let out a long sigh.
"Y'know, with all the pirates I've seen around here lately, it surprises me that noone in there's noticed us yet."

"I agree. Somethings wrong." Dragon readied his his bow, and was deciding whether he should patrol the area. "What do you think we should do? I'm thinking of going in and seeing whats going on.."

Tunn scratched an eyebrow and thought it over.
"Here, take your sword; it ain't fully sharp yet, but it's better than it was," The stoat stood up and put away his blade-sharpener. Then he hoisted up his large forge hammer,"If we go in, it'll have to be slow. We don't know what's going on in there."

"Yea. I even told someone to watch the walls. No one seems to be watching...hm..." dragon took his greatsword. He looked over the edges and saw that they were better than before. 'Thanks for the fix-up. It looksso much better than before." Dragon readied himself to enter Redwall with the stoat. he watched the stoat ready himself for entering Redwall.

Tunn shouldered his bag of swords and waddled over to the main gate. The smith leaned back as far as he could and still could not quite make out the top of the ramparts. He knocked gingerly on the huge door with no response. He knocked louder, and still no response. He scratched his head in puzzlement and looked at the hare.
"Er, how exactly do we get in if noone answers the door?"
