Moll entered and stood before them. She felt a little awkward with all eyes on her. She hoped she at least looked the part because she felt very out of place. Then after an uncomfortable silence that could have really been no more than a few seconds she rolled her eyes and walked over to her chair. "Please sit," She waved a paw at them all to be seated.
Larka pulled her hood up and entered behind the queen keeping to the shadows. She closed the hidden door and then took her place opposite the monitor behind Moll's chair.
Moll started to pull out her own chair and sit but Larka quickly stepped forward and pulled the chair out for her. As she did the hood fell back slightly from the stoatmaid's face and she glanced at the guests to see if anybeast had noticed. She recognized the stoat who had threatened the queen earlier, but barely. He looked so different, so . . . well . . . clean. She realized she was staring and quickly pulled her hood back up and stepped back.

Renak did not even stand, the weasel was too stiff in his uniform, it felt hard to move his limbs normally. He hoped it didn't affect his standing with Drask; it might even prevent him from getting his reward. Renak looked down at the table, avoiding everybeast's eyes, afraid he would be punished for not standing up.
Alexander sat back down, nodding to Zahn as he did so; the short fox had made a nice start to the evening and it seemed as if he was on his way to getting that reward, unlike Renak. He hoped the servants would start bringing the feast into the dining room soon, for the rumbling in his stomach increased with every passing minute.
Drask felt more confident once he saw how royal Moll looked, and he returned to his seat. Though she played her part as Queen very well, Drask could tell she was uneasy with having the attention of so many beasts on her. The general didn't hold his good posture for long, however. He leaned casually back in his chair and smiled slightly, "Well, Your Highness, I suppose we can get this feast started soon." Drask remembered his manners in the Queen's presence, but it was especially for Callista, he realized he was only being polite for her. It was quite a frightening thought that he would stoop low enough to behave for the sake of impressing the Pure Ferret.

Callista sat down as soon as she was told to. Again more out of slight fear of what would happen if she DIDN'T do so. She had to admit. For someone who was not a Pure Ferret. She looked ok for a queen of an island with a large palace. Made her miss the times she could wear beautiful wear like that back before when she still living in the castle as a princess. Though of course those times were over. She grabbed the glass (or chalice) and took another small sip of wine.
Kruaser sat down after Callista did of course. Only doing so once again because Callista did. He didn't like the idea of being told what to do by a weasel. Hell. He used to beat up weasels back when he was a kid just to get his hatred of his own father out. Who was a drunk who often beat him and even one time tried to kill him by chasing him across the fields with a scythe! Though of course. He kept his mouth shut for Callista's own good. Now wanting to start a conflict and getting her involved and possibley killed in it. What Callista never seemed to realise if that he was here to PROTECT her so she can stay safe and escape! NOT so she could fight along side him! It was this very problem that made Krauser's job a lot harder to do. He just sat there for now. Waiting for some food to come on to the table...

Moll leaned forward feeling more confident now that she was sitting at the table with her friend, "Gates, I hope so. I'm starved . . . I mean. I believe the soup will be out presently." She looked down fiddled with a napkin on the table guiltly and then tried to begin again. "General Darkfang, would you please introduce me to our other guests." She was still quite nervous and hoped learning the names of the other creatures would help to calm her.
Larka's eyes continually scanned the beasts around the room watching for any trouble. Her paws stayed ready on the twin hilts of her swords she could react in a moment if she sensed any threat.

Drask pointed to each beast around the table, identifying them for Moll. "He is Zahn, a promising young officer in my forces." The general then turned his attention to the beast sitting next to Zahn, "And you have already met Renak." He looked coldly at the weasel for a moment before continuing on, "That is Callista, a member of the Royal Pure Ferret Family, and her guard, Krauser." Drask turned his attention the the Pine Marten who sat next to him, "And you've met my second in command, Major Alexander."
Zahn fought to urge to smile at the praise Drask gave him, it was even better than it sounded. He was an officer now, that was something he wanted to reach eventually, but he it achieved in one night. This was a dream come true for the short fox, no all he had to do was mind his manners and he would get even further reward.

"What family?" Callista thought. She might or might not be the only surviving member of her family left. Though of course it might be possible one or both of her two brother may have survived and may still live. Though such things are best unspoken out loud...
Krauser was slightly displeased on how Drask simply called him a "guard." WRONG! He was a soldier/body guard/servant! "Dumbass ferret can't even get and say the simplest of things done correctly...." He thought inside his slightly messed up head. Once again he greedily drank another glass of wine.

Moll nodded to each creature as they were mentioned and desperately tried to remember all the names. She smiled kindly at the soldiers, stared curiously at Krauser glad he didn't seem to be thinking of their earlier encounter, saught to extend the paw of friendship to Callista. Trying to remember everything she had learned about manors and deplomacy she spoke to the ferret princess, "I do hope your room was to your liking. I am sorry we were unable to provide you with anything more sutible to wear to dinner. I would like to offer one of my own dresses and the service of my tailor if something of the sort would make you feel more comfortable." She shot a glance over at Drask as if you see how he thought she was doing.

Drask nodded slightly as Moll made eye contact with him, acknowledging her questioning glance. The general poured himself another chalice (Thanks Cole.) of wine, this was going smoothly so far. He turned his attention to Callista, waiting to see if her response would be as polite as Moll's, though he doubted the Pure Ferret would step out of line.
The doors of the main entrance opened and several servants entered, carrying the soup that Moll mentioned. A bowl was placed before each beast at the table, and with the start of the feast underway, Alexander smiled broadly, "Finally!" He started eating his soup with no hesitation. Once the first wave of servants left, another entered the dining room; he was a middle aged stoat that had a regal appearance and serious look on his face. "I hope you enjoy that soup, Major. I made sure it was full of your favorite spiders." Geoffry rolled his eyes and stood near the door, awaiting for the next wave of the feast.

Callista smiled at the weasel queen and spoke in her most polite tone. "It was a beautiful room. I loved the paintings and the bed. I wonder. Who made those masterpiece paintings? Oh! As for dresses. You really don't have too...." It was easy to make any beast of any title like King, Queen, Emperor, Empress, War Lord and Chieftain happy. Just act polite and keep your tone cheerful and kind. At lest thats what she believed...
(They have forks or something right? xD Stupid question.)
Krauser didn't even seem like he even noticed that the weasel queen was the SAME ONE he had ran into and got a sword pointed at him over. All he seemed to notice was four things. Callista, the wine, the same guard that pointed a sword at him and finally. The soup that was placed infront of him. Which he started to eat right away soon after drinking down his second chalice of wine.

(yup all the typical silverware though it's probably gold actually, no swiping my spoons now)
Moll looked around once more and smiled before she took her own first bite of the soup. It was gratifing to know that her guests were enjoying the meal. And then she got a taste of it herself, "Mmmm I am definately going to have to promote the vixen who made this." ((wonder what the little fox with think about that))
Outside the door the slaves were having a conversation of their own while waiting to bring in the next course. . . "Him, the red stoat?" asked one frightened looking little mousemaid. "Yes that's the one. We actually had to bathe him." the squirrelmaid rolled her eyes expressively. "And you should have heard some of the things he was saying." "Like what?" "Well he seems to have got it into his head that General Drask is going to give he and the other soldiers in there some sort of 'reward' for faithful service." "Like gold or something." "No," broke in a female pine martin who had been listening in. "Like one of us to do things for them." "Don't we have to do things for them anyway?" the mousemaid asked inocently. "Not those sorts of things," the pine martin smirked knowingly. The mousemaid's jaw dropped. "But - but, surely Queen Moll wouldn't let them I mean we're not even the same species." "I'm not sure that sort of thing matters to the Queen," the squirrel spoke up in a gossipy tone. "I heard that her mum would do anybeast who had the right colour of coin." "No," the mousemaid smiled in horror at the insinuation. "Really I heard it from Captain Roshell. Seemes her dad went to visit Moll's mum on more than one occation when they were living dockside. And well you've seen the way the queen gets when anybeast mentions that halfbreed Truglim. I just think if that's the way she was raised she might be capable of anything. . . ."

Zahn heard the Queen mention the vixen who prepared the soup for them, and he wondered what she looked like. Though the short fox was looking for advancement in Drask's army, he would willingly accept a slave of his species. If at all possible, Zahn would have preferred to gain an increase in rank instead of a slave, but it seemed as if he would have to keep striving toward a promotion.
The general silently listened to the discussion that passed between Callista and Moll, glad that the Pure Ferret was trying to get along. After all that fierce arguing he had with Callista in Mossflower, it was surprising to see her acting with a totally different personality than usual. Drask ate a small spoonful of the soup and continued observation of their conversation, with a calm guarded expression on his face. He drank some of the wine in his second chalice and noted to be moderate in his drinking this evening, it wouldn't do him any good to be intoxicated during this feast.

Callista take another bite from the soup, rarely taking anything more than a sip from the wine. She never drank wine down like Krauser or most beasts do. She always sipped her wine mannerly and shortly. Both to keep from being intoxicated and to keep her royal look in check. Though she was hoping in the back of her mind that the soup was not the only food coming. She was also praying that it was not gonna be sea food....
Krauser would not give a end of a rat's ass about what food comes out. He would eat it. Sea food or not sea food. He had already finished his soup. Which he had quickly devoured without making any mess at all on both the table or himself. He had also been on his fourth chalice of wine and was starting to feel the slight effects of the intoxicating wine. Though so far he was still toughing it out well.

Moll sipped her own wine as well. She preferred the elderberry. She had practically grown up around drinks at the tavern and had drunk a few sailors under the table and had won good money for it at the time. So on her own third chalice she was only just now beginning to feel the warmth. She nodded to the next beast who came to fill her cup. They would begin to water it down now so she could keep her mind clear. "Ah and now the main course," she smiled as another three beasts entered carrying the bird in on a tray. She was filled with pride upon seeing how the dish had turned out and was even more thrilled to take a taste of it. "I was sure you must have had your fill of fish on your voyage so I . . . er . . . had the kitchen staff whip this up." The slaves served Moll first and then Callista before going on to the rest but Moll waited to see what her guests thought before she took a bite.

Alexander quickly sunk his teeth into the food laid out before him, and after chewing up the his first few mouth fulls, the Pine Marten smiled at Queen Moll, "Delightful meal, Your Highness." He remembered his manners in the presence of royalty unlike Renak. Alexander pointedly glared at him as the tough looking beast devoured his food as if he had never eaten a bite in his life.
The weasel met the major's glare and realized he was supposed to behave in order to be rewarded. Renak forced himself to compliment on the meal, "Uh, this is good stuff, Your Highness." He had more trouble being polite at this bloody feast than anything the tough stoat had faced in the past. It would be worth it though, if he could make it just a while longer...
Drask took one bite of the bird laid on his plate and nodded to Moll, "Well, the kitchen staff sure can cook, Your Worship." He smiled slightly at her, for he knew that the entire meal was cooked under her supervision and judging all the flour that covered her, she must have done more than supervise the cooking.

Callista had a sip of wine before she took a bite out of the next dish. "Delightful and exquisite." she said with a calm smile as she took another bite. Callista would have to remember to get the cook who made it. She would likely want another dish of this wonderful food.
Krauser was not saying anything. He was too busy eating the flesh and staring into space in a primal survival trance. Getting bad post traumatic memories that he was trying to repress. He was tapping his foot silently and rapidly, slightly shaking and now he was chewing and eating the bone along with the flesh. Finally though. He managed to snap out of it and slow himself down. Although such action like bone chewing was strange. It could not be counted as a strike against him. Besides. He was showing how good the slaves did at cleaning his teeth out....
Callsita had noticed it though, but of course this was not the first time it happened. So she simply wrote it off as a minor happening. He would always control himself before it got out of paw and eventually with time. He should be able to put the past at rest.
