Silas nodded, standing back up out of a respectful gesture. "Yes ma'am, just a rough plan, but I'll try to think it over..." He said. "Should be carryin' it out in no time." He then awaited the mole's word, completely serious.

"Oi trust you'm know wot yur gurtly doin'," the molemaid spoke to Silas and then turned to Tamar. "Please fetch tha' Abbess Song book fur Oi, Tamer" She actually had learned all the information from the book that she wanted but it was as good a reason as any to get the squirrelmaid to leave for a moment so Saol could speak to Silas without her being there. Tamar did as she was told and left swiftly to get the book. Saol watched her go before she spoke again, "Thankee Maister Silas. Not jus' fur trainin' ee defenders, hurr no. Tamer bees a dif'rent creature since you'm cum home." She placed a digging claw on Silas's arm. "Don' work too 'ard on ee plans. Take sum toime for eeself." She winked at him and then walked off towards the Great Hall leaving him to think about what she had said.

Silas, for a second, merely nodded in agreement, then after that understood what she meant. He grinned, and silently promised to take up that suggestion as the mole walked away. Looking down the hallway, the squirrel decided to stay put for a little bit, still thinking of Saol's words.

"I brought the book Saol," Tamar called as she hurried back into the now nearly empty Cavern Hole. "I mean Abbess Saol," she corrected herself. The room was in fact empty except for a certain warrior squirrel. Tamar was suddenly apprehensive. She swallowed and asked, "Did you see where the abbess went?"

"Uh..." Silas took a moment to remember, his brain still 'geared' for thinking in solitude. "Prob'ly down the hall." He gestured to the hall that led off to breakfast in the Great Hall. Silas himself had eaten a light and early breakfast before setting out, but still the aromas wafting through the air tickled his snout.

"Oh," She looked they way he pointed. "Breakfast I guess." She said lamely. She had also eaten a bit of something when she was helping with the baking early that morning. She wondered why he hadn't joined everybeast else in the Great Hall. Then she remembered his leg. "Would you like me to help you. . . " she started to ask taking a step closer to him.

"If ye think I could use some help, I'll gladly accept it." Silas said, answering the question before it was completely asked, noticing her slide closer to him. Tamar has certainly changed, Silas reflects once more. He silently asked himself a question that would probably go unanswered for days at the thought. he shrugged it off, once more saving it for later.

If she thought he could use some help? What was that supposed to mean? She wouldn't have asked to help him if she didn't . . . But maybe he was just making a comment on her predisposition to thinking that male beasts couldn't do things on their own. She knew he could take care of himself. Tamar frowned. "I just thought. . . with your leg and . . . everycreature already left. . . and you might be hungry. . ." But then he had said that he would accept her help gladly. She sighed. She would never understand male beasts. "Are you hungry?"

Silas, however, was not wording his comment as such to appeal to Tamar's feminist views, wondering why she was acting this way. He was injured though, and teaching everybeast how to fight would take some doing if he didn't want the wound to get infected or re-opened or something. Of course it seemed like he was referring to Tamar just helping him in the instance of walking back up the small flight of steps to the Great Hall, but he really meant her help in general, as well as the support of a select few otherbeasts to prepare the Abbey for war. That's what he thought she was referring to as well. He inwardly frowned upon himself a fraction for making hasty assumptions, then replied, "Er, yeah..."

Tamar shut her eyes and mentally slapped herself. This wasn't some ignorant beast. This was Silas. She knew he wasn't trying to make fun of her. She opened her eyes and found herself looking into his blue ones again. "I'm sorry I . . . this all new for me I . . . I would be glad to help you walk to Great Hall and if you need anything else, you have only to ask." She attempted a smile.

Silas nodded a bit, seeming to understand the attempted smile, and replied, "Er, alright..." He himself edged an inch closer. "Let's go, then." He himself said, seemingly quite bland in his own ears. At this point, he was a bit lost for words, for reasons unknown.

Tamar went to his side as she had earlier pulling his arm around her shoulders. As soon as she did this she once again felt like she was exactly where she belonged. He needed her. And it wasn't because he was a weak male who couldn't do anything on his own. And it wasn't because he expected her to do things like she was his maid. It was like they were partners, like a team, where each member used their own strengths to help the other. For some reason when she was near him all this was perfectly clear.

Silas felt that same feeling of belonging beside Tamar, her gentle support more than comforting to him. He also saw now with perfect clarity that they were a team, at the very least. But that was another assumption, though it was safer to do so... His thoughts were shoved aside as he was brought to reality, realizing he was just standing there, staring at her as he thought. Blinking and averting his gaze for a second, he blushed in some form of unexplainable embarassment. He would've stood there like that forever, if he could. But one: That would seem very awkward after a while, and Two: Breakfast was waiting. He tried to recover himself, saying, "Uh, we... should..." He looked down the hallway, then back to Tamar.

Until he spoke Tamar had forgotten that they had anywhere else they needed to be. Then she also remembered, breakfast. "Yes. . . of course." She smiled and then attempted to make small talk as they walked toward the Great Hall. She didn't want to talk about the danger to the Abbey, just something nice and ordinary. "I wonder how the dibbuns are enjoying the snow. I've always liked snow. Of course the best part is coming in and getting warm after being out in it."

Silas nodded, remembering his own dibbun days in the snow. "Yeah, I like some snow too." He said with a smirk. "I can't count how many times I've been in a snowfight when I was their age..." He meant the dibbuns. He paused for a while as they walked.
OOC: Blech. Sorta short.
