Skipper set the injured squirrel down on a free bed gently as his worried look only increased. A Marlfox? That ain't good. Not good at all. I'm going to tell Abbess Saol. Can you make sure that Silas gets tretament for his wounds, Tamar? I'm trusting you with this.

Tamar had her eyes on Silas. She was listening so intently to what he was saying that she hardly noticed that Skipper had spoken. "What," she blinked and looked up at the otter, "Oh yes, of - of course. Tend his wounds. I can do that." She looked back at Silas again.

Silas tried to sit up and examine the wound on his leg, for that was the most serious injury, but gave up on it. Skipper had just told Tamar to do that, anyway. If the situation would've allowed it, he would've smiled at the squirrelmaid. She seemed so different now, her sweet voice without its sour counterpart. "The... the others're still out there, though." He told the Skipper in parting. "Just watch for them, if you can." He said, feeling like he should be back in the woods, fighting alongside them. But someone had to tell the Abbey. He sighed again and tried to relax, though with everything that's happened he knew it was near-futile. And on top of that, Tamar was here. He felt more self-conscious around her, as well as (In some degree) enjoying her company.

The Skipper nodded and rushed out of the infirmary to find the Abbess. He nearly ran through the hallways and corridors until he found her by almost bumping into her. Oh! Sorry about that, Abbess, Marm. I was just looking for you. I have a bit of urgent news for you.

Tamar watched the otter go and then turned to look at the wound on the squirrel's led. She tut-tuted him, "Going on a walk in deed." She muttered at him but she had the hint of a smile on her face. She took a bowl of water and a cloth and began to clean the gash.
Saol laid a paw on Skipper's arm looking at this moment like the true Mother Abbess, wise beyond her years, ready to take what ever he had to throw at her. "Wot be ee news, Skip?"

OOC: I'm leaving after this post. See ye.
Silas sat up to view Tamar cleaning his leg, making sure all the necessary steps were made as well as to talk with her easier. It's not that he didn't have faith in her healing skills, though. He grinned at the muttered comment, replying casually, "It was going so well, too..." Up until the attack. He silently added.

Skipper caught his breath for a moment. I don't think you're going to like it. Silas the squirrel is back, but he's badly injured. Tamar's tending to him now. The reason he's injured is because he was attacked by a Marlfox. That means there's still Marlfoxes in the area.

Saol smiled when Skipper told her that Silas was back and Tamar was tending to him but she was jerked back to seriousness when he mentioned marlfoxes. "'Ave ee creatures we sent out to foind ee foxer's trail cum back yet?"
"And yet here you are?" She shook her head, and turned away from him, putting together a poultice to place on the wound. "Can't even take a walk without gettin' into some sort of scrape or another. Just like a male beast." When she turned back to him she was unable to hide her smile. She placed the poultice on his leg carefully and began to bind it in place with strips of cloth.

Ronan shook his head sadly. No, Mother Abbess. They haven't come back yet. I haven't seen hide nor hair of any of 'em since they left here. That's what worries me. Would you like me to head out an' search for 'em, Marm?

((hope its okay for me to post...)
Trill walked quietly into the infirmary, noting the presence of the other two squirrels as she did. Normally she would have left and come back latter but as she knew who Tamar was she thought it alright to go on in. The sight of wounds did not bother her and as the room was intended for the treatment of the sick and injured it did not surprise her to see someone in it in such a condition. The significance of the male squirrels injury did not elude her though, you didn't get regular straight cuts on you while tending the garden.
"Fight coming?" She asked in her bland way, as if it were a question so mundane as to not even be casual conversation as she walked over to a counter next to a water basin. She had talked to the infirmaries keeper the prior evening there was a bowl and antiseptic herbs waiting for her. Cutting tree branches was not terribly hazardous but Trill like to treat cuts and splitters against infection. There was no sense in getting blood poisoning over pride after all.

Silas watched her work, responding in his usual manner, "Well, I do admit that us guys get into fights sometimes, but that one out there wasn't my fault." he informed Tamar, gesturing out of the window vaguely with a paw. He then hears before seeing the other squirrelmaid enter, and answers, "Uh, Yeah." not knowing what her name is, he tried but failed to place it.

Tamar placed herself neatly between Silas and Trill so that his eyes were focused back on her. She coldly ignored the other squirrelmaid. She really had no reason to dislike Trill other than the perceived rivalry for Silas's affection. In another time and place the two maids may have become great friends but with Tamar only just realizing her own feelings toward the warrior squirrel she wasn't about to let him be stolen away by any other creature. "Mr. Hawkeye," She looked at him sternly now, her smile lost in her jealousy, "It isn't a question of fault. Trouble just seems to follow you where ever you go." Never mind the fact that trouble had found her when she thought she was warm and safe here in the abbey. She patted the bandage perhaps a bit too hard and then realized for the first time since he had returned to the abbey that she'd had her paws on him for this last quarter of an hour. Her face reddened beneath her fur. She pulled her paws back and wiped them on her apron. "What else can I do for you?"
Saol paced back and forth thinking about what Skipper had said. It was at times like these that she wished she was an older and more experienced beast. Still Martin wouldn't have chosen her for the position if he didn't think she could handle it. "Trackin' pardy not back an' Silas cumin' back widout 'llarin an' Selesa." She mumbled to herself. Then she looked up at Skipper and said, "Ee bees needin' a council. Ge' Lois an' the elders t'gever in Cavern 'Ole. Oi'll ge' Silas an' Tamer an' meet you'uns there."

The squirrel opened his mouth to argue the point of trouble following him about, but realized hhe actually couldn't argue at that time. Instead, he says, "Well, I hope it hasn't followed me here." And he truly did hope that. As he spoke, the tracking party was returning through the main gate, visible from the infirmary windows, coming back with only a pewter bowl and some rings the fox had spilled on the ground as he made his escape.
Silas' leg muscles flinched once as pressure was applied by Tamar in an effort to make the bandage stick. He noticed that she moved to block Trill's line of sight at him, and due to that he picked up a scent of jealous concern from the squirrelmaid. Though he did realize this, he didn't comment upon it, merely saying, "Uh, not really. Thanks, though." He replied examining the bandage now, with satisfaction.

Skipper lowered his ears and bowed respectfully. Your wish is my command, Marm. I'll get all the Elders together as soon as possible. He then stood and rushed off to find Lois the Badgermum. He knew she could help him with his task.

Trill had not been paying particular attention to either squirrel until Tamar stepped in front of Silas like he belonged to her and Trill might try to steal him. Were it not for that she would have simply left the room and treated her paws elsewhere. As it was though Trill felt like she had the first time she had settled down in a town and the few other local vagrants had tried to drive her out. That had turned into a knife fight and while Trill had no intention of giving way unnecessarily to Tamar but she didn't think this challenge would go so far and had no desire for it to. She could respect the desire to protect ones property.
"Heard about your trouble...maybe he could teach you how to use this." She said as she reached into her vest and pulled free one of the few knives that had a sheath tied on so that the blade was covered. It was a warning, her way of saying 'I can and will defend myself but don't wish you harm'.
